Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: The Traitor Mista

Guido Mista had lived an ordinary and mundane life until he met Johnson Joffrey.

He was born in a hot, small village in the Naples countryside, only completed junior high, and was raised by his grandparents.

At that time, like every child, he firmly believed he would achieve great things. He often boasted to his friends that a true man must make a name for himself, shaking Italy, even if it meant doing bad deeds.

After graduating from junior high, he went directly to Naples. Unfortunately, he wasn't very clever; complex jobs always resulted in mistakes, and he didn't want to do simple jobs because he felt he was a chosen one destined for greatness.

Reality is often tragic

But he wandered through the streets and alleys of Naples, searching for his opportunity.

After saving a woman who was being assaulted by gangsters, and miraculously not being hit by over a dozen bullets, he suddenly recalled the words of his grandparents back in the countryside.

— — Destiny is controlled by God.

People live like puppets on strings, leading lives like insects.

If an ordinary person understood this, they would likely fall into complete despair, perhaps even give up on life. But he, Guido Mista, was completely different.

He was a naturally optimistic man, generous, exceptionally brave, loyal, and always believed one thing—

He was a darling of destiny.

However, reality was cruel.

Life in Prison was too painful, almost erasing the optimistic and resilient spirit etched into his DNA, until the appearance of that man.

Johnson Joffrey.

He appeared like a son of God.

At that moment, Guido Mista fully understood that his destiny had turned. This man, exuding the aura of a villain, gave him the greatest hope.

The powerful aura surrounding this strong man displayed his immense presence, revealing a wolf-like silence without a word.

This man was the chosen one, the destined son!

Guido Mista gazed at the dark sea, silent for a long time, then spoke with a serious tone:

"In my hometown, harming your savior brings retribution."

Giorno looked at Mista in surprise and asked, "Johnson Joffrey saved you?"

"Yes, I was stuck in Prison, and I only survived because he blew up the Prison," Mista stated solemnly. "Though it was unintentional, I can never forget it."

Giorno looked at him, thought for a moment, then said, "Then that means betraying Bucciarati."

"'Betrayal' is too harsh a word!" Mista squinted at Giorno. "Bucciarati is a good guy, and I wanted to work with him, but I said from the start that if it meant opposing Johnson Joffrey, I wouldn't do it!"

"Then how do you plan to help Johnson Joffrey?" Giorno glanced at Bucciarati behind him. It seemed the boss had issued another important command; they hadn't even noticed Giorno and Mista.

I and Johnson, as well as the unique star mark on that man, I guess we both come from a certain family.

And, our family doesn't need an arrow to awaken a Stand?

The mystery of my origin must be answered by Johnson Joffrey… "Alright," a glint flashed in Giorno's azure eyes, "I agree to your terms, but Bucciarati must not be harmed."

— — — —

Mista was always a rebellious and loyal person, so why would he betray Bucciarati? The reason is that Johnson came first!

And with the activation of the Evil Aura, 4444 is truly evil!
