After drying off and getting dressed, he returns to the laundry room and waits for the machine to finish washing his things before transferring everything to the dryer.
A little while later, with all the processes finished, Jimmy organizes his things in his room's closet before putting the books he'll need for the day inside his backpack and then leaving his room, locking it behind him.
Entering the dorm's common room with the intention of buying something to eat from the vending machine, Jimmy is approached by Pete as soon as he gets near his food provider.
"Hey, Jimmy! How are you doing?", Pete greets him awkwardly.
"I'm fine, just tired! Had kind of a wild night!", Jimmy says while pressing a button on the vending machine.
"Insomnia?", Pete asks uncertainly. It turns out the dorm walls are thick, and Christy's loud moans didn't reach anyone's ears.
"Yeah, could be that!", Jimmy agrees, crouching down and picking up the sandwiches he just bought.
"Right... ehh... are you heading out to class now?", scratching his neck, Pete asks, not quite sure how to bring up what he had in mind.
"I'm gonna eat this and then head out!", Jimmy replies, opening one of the sandwich wrappers and taking a big bite.
"Could you do me a favor? I'll pay you five bucks", gathering some courage, Pete asks, getting straight to the point.
"Depends! What do you need?", finishing chewing the last piece of the sandwich, Jimmy asks. He needed to know what the favor was before deciding whether to help or not.
"I… I need you… to deliver a package to a student named Beatrice", Pete elaborates, stuttering a little in an attempt to find the right words.
"Is she your girlfriend? Why don't you deliver it to her yourself? Is it because the package is too heavy?", curious, Jimmy fires question after question, making Pete blush.
"N… no, she's not my girlfriend, and the package isn't heavy! I… I just don't have time to deliver it myself", stuttering heavily, Pete tries to explain, which doesn't really work.
"Alright, I'll deliver the package to the girl who's not your girlfriend", Jimmy says, teasing him a bit.
"I... I... It's just that we're doing a project for... Art class together, and this package is my part of the assignment", stuttering even more, Pete keeps trying to explain, which only makes it sound like he's making excuses for his actions.
"Sure, sure! Where can I find this Beatrice?", letting out a playful huff, Jimmy asks about where to find Beatrice, finishing his last sandwich.
"She told me yesterday she'd be waiting in front of the girls' dorm! Just go straight ahead when you leave", pulling himself together, Pete says, informing him where to find Beatrice.
"Alright, where's this package then?", Jimmy asks, already thinking about where he might get a mug of coffee.
"Wait here, I'll grab it from my room", Pete says before turning around and going to fetch the package for Jimmy to deliver.
A minute later, Pete returns with a small box wrapped in Kraft paper, which he then hands to Jimmy, along with the five bucks he'd promised.
Before leaving the dorm, Jimmy turns to Pete and asks, "Hey, Pete! You know where I can get a mug of coffee?"
"Ehh... your best bet's the cafeteria!", processing the question, Pete replies, unable to think of anywhere else he could get coffee.
"No, thanks! I'm not up for consuming Cesium-137; the only thing that comes out of that cafeteria that isn't radioactive comes from the vending machine!", Jimmy says before leaving the dorm.
Then, following the instructions correctly, Jimmy quickly arrives in front of the girls' dorm and delivers Pete's package to Beatrice, who thanks him before heading back inside.
After that, Jimmy heads toward the main campus building while yawning sleepily, his eyes heavy.
Entering the place, Jimmy heads straight to his first class, Music, even though it's still 6:08 AM, according to a clock he saw along the way.
Arriving at the Home Economics classroom, Jimmy enters the room yawning, encountering several musical instruments already positioned around the room.
Probably with fate helping him, Jimmy sees a thermos resting on the teacher's desk.
Approaching it, Jimmy opens the thermos and smells its contents to check if it's coffee, and when the characteristic aroma fills his nostrils, he doesn't hesitate to use the thermos lid as a cup and serves himself a full one.
Taking a sip, Jimmy wrinkles his nose. Weak, watery American coffee, but it was what he had, so he tips the mug back as if it were a shot of alcohol, repeating with another cup before closing the thermos and sitting in one of the empty seats in the classroom, waiting for the lesson to start, this time with much more energy.
Some time later, the teacher, Miss Peters, returns to the classroom, ending up not even noticing that two mugs of coffee had disappeared from her thermos.
After chatting casually with Jimmy for a few minutes, the students begin arriving, and she finally starts her class.
Here, an identical phenomenon to what happened in his Art class occurs: Jimmy is more skilled than the teacher herself. This happens because Lucas, after 'retiring' from the gaming industry, imposed a rule on himself when recreating a game alone in the comfort of his home, he couldn't use anything that was already made.
For example, let's say he is recreating GTA: San Andreas. When implementing the game's theme music, he couldn't use the original or a cover from the internet; he had to recreate the music on his own. The same applied to all other parts of the game; it was basically reinventing the wheel, but with his own personal touch.
In short, Lucas and, consequently, Jimmy, are multi-instrumentalist masters with immense knowledge in the field; they can play any instrument that crosses their path and are also extremely skilled at singing.
And so, time passes and the class ends, with Miss Peters praising him just like Ms. Philips did in her class.
And thus, the day goes on normally, after Music class with Miss Peters, Jimmy attends his Chemistry class with Dr. Watts, after the break, he goes to English with Mr. Galloway, and then finishes the day in the Math class of the detestable Mr. Hattrick.
