Even though Kabuto Yakushi assured him that the plan wouldn't be affected, Baki felt a flicker of panic.
"Hayate must die!!" Baki whispered to himself.
The scene flashed back to earlier, when he had spoken with Kabuto.
"…Let's do it, but I have a condition!"
Baki's eyes gleamed with ruthlessness. "I don't know how much the examiner overheard, but he is a destabilizing factor. We must eliminate him before he returns to Konoha and reports to the Hokage!"
"I'm no longer fit to take action personally. I'll rely on you to set up an ambush on their return. If possible, eliminate those three women as well."
Kabuto shook his head helplessly as he used the Mytical Palm Technique to heal Baki. "The more you act, the more mistakes you make. Every time you intervene, the risk of exposure grows."
Baki sneered. "That Hayate isn't that important, but since you're worried, I'll let you handle it. Those kids are showing off lately anyway—let them move around a bit."
Within moments, Baki's injuries vanished completely. No trace remained.
Baki stretched and said in surprise, "Your medical skills are incredible! At this level, you're no weaker than the legendary medical master, right?"
"After all, no loser can survive alongside Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto said with a modest smile, though he wasn't lying.
Soon, the two parted ways and went about their own business.
Baki changed into a fresh set of clothes, gathered a few of his men, and rushed to the place where Hayate and the others had been—the scene that had already unfolded.
Even if Hayate refused to admit it, Baki knew there had to be evidence.
Now, Baki appeared in front of Hayate unharmed, proving that the one who had fought earlier was not him.
Thus, the supposed conspiracy involving the Sound Ninja spy became a false story.

With no other choice, Ino turned her attention to the chat group to delay time by chatting with Kurenai.
Secretly, Tsunade followed with Konoha's four elite ninja.
Hayate had to be saved, but Tsunade's real goal was to find a way to make Hayate and Yugao turn against each other.
Though she felt sorry for him, Tsunade planned to compensate by curing his tuberculosis and introducing him to a girlfriend when the opportunity arose.
Unfortunately, timing was off, and the plan was interrupted by Kurenai.
The method they had tried involved using Hinata's Byakugan to enhance visual and mental attacks, then Ino used Mind Transfer to implant Sakura's second personality into Hayate's body. The second Sakura then used illusions to control him.
Once combined, the ninjutsu was no longer a pure Yamanaka technique and was difficult to detect.
If Ino and Sakura were more experienced, they could have avoided detection entirely.
Unfortunately, their skills were too weak. The battle failed.
As for Baki's problem, Tsunade didn't care much. Compared to Itsuki's safety, nothing else mattered.
Meanwhile, Hayate and his group hurriedly left Platycodon City. After some distance, Hayate relaxed slightly.
Yugao couldn't help asking, "Hayate, weren't you tracking the spy Kabuto Yakushi? How did you end up fighting Sunagakure ninja? And why did that Sunagakure person later appear unharmed, pretending nothing happened?"
Hayate had his own guesses.

From the shadows, three strange figures leaped out, attacking Yugao and the others without a word.

The attackers were Kidomaru, Sakon & Ukon, and Tayuya, each using the Second Curse Seal.
Kabuto had sent the Four Sound Ninja. To hide their identities, they didn't wear their headbands.
Though the Second Curse Seal was powerful, the Four Sound Ninja were still young.
Thanks to system buffs, Kurenai and Anko were enhanced by 300%, making them nearly unbeatable—even Kakashi might struggle against them.
Not only did they stop the attack, they almost killed the enemies in seconds.
Seeing the situation, Sound Ninja retreated and vanished into the shadows.
In minutes, the barrier dissipated. Hayate was left skin and bones; his chakra completely drained.
This was Jirobo's Earth Release: Earth Dome Prison, amplified by the Second Curse Seal.
Hayate was in poor condition, with no perception and no strong single-target attack. Breaking through was impossible.
The result? Hayate was completely drained, as if reporting to the Pure Land.
"Ahhhh!!" Yugao screamed at Hayate's tragic state, then fainted from shock.
Kurenai and Anko exchanged astonished, worried glances.
Could it be that what happens in future events is truly unchangeable?
