Itsuki noticed a flash of pity in Honoka's eyes, and she subconsciously wanted to rush forward to save them.
But remembering his words, she hesitated.
In that brief hesitation, the two Kumo-nin were swallowed.
Extending his senses, Itsuki felt the vitality of the ultimate summoning beast surge violently.
It had already been terrifying, but now its power became overwhelming.
This was the ultimate summoning beast. In the original story, even Naruto, after defeating Pain, couldn't handle it.
And that was only when it was a half-finished version!
If it reached its complete form, it could rival the Nine-Tails at full power—maybe even the Ten-Tails.

But then Honoka suddenly opened her arms to shield Itsuki, trembling as she said, "You can't hurt him. Let him go, and I'll let you do whatever you want with me!"
"…" Itsuki was speechless.
Well, this was a silly girl with a slave mentality.
It wasn't that she didn't want to resist, but maybe after kneeling for so long, she had forgotten how to stand.
She had clearly been brainwashed by the Half Moon Clan, her spirit crushed until she couldn't even think like a normal person anymore.

The golden chains shot forward again, dragging all the researchers into the mouth of the summoning beast.
Their screams and pleas for mercy were meaningless.
"No! You can't do this!" Honoka cried in panic, grabbing Itsuki's arm.
"The spirit beast is already too terrifying. If its vitality increases even more, no one will be able to control it. The whole world could be in danger!"
At least she wasn't worried about the researchers anymore. That was a start.
Itsuki smiled faintly. "That's even better. I need a spirit beast. If it's too weak, I won't bother. But unfortunately…"
He glanced at it with disdain. "It's too damn ugly."
The beast looked like a massive fleshy worm, with dozens of disgusting tentacles dangling around its mouth.
Just looking at it was nauseating.

"Is it reaching its complete form?" Itsuki raised an eyebrow, though he felt disappointed.
If this was its limit, it was acceptable, but it didn't meet his expectations.
At this stage, it could at best fight on the level of the Five Kage—comparable to the Three Great Summons. It would be useless in higher-level battles.
"No," Honoka shook her head.
"This is only the second stage. It needs to be fed once more before reaching completion. According to the Half Moon Clan's records, the final stage requires it to be infused with natural chakra."
"But luckily, it's entered a dormant state now. It won't cause trouble for a while. We should take this chance to think of a way to seal it completely!"
