Then his gaze shifted to Honoka. Just as the intel suggested—the red-haired girl was a survivor of the Uzumaki Clan.
Karin gave Honoka a subtle wink but stayed silent, not wanting to expose their prior connection.
Honoka returned a grateful glance but dared not say anything aloud.
Itsuki quickly recounted what had happened since his arrival, then concluded,
"What's certain is that this is a secret base established by Kumogakure to study summoned beasts.
Those large creatures that attacked us before were artificially bred.
Their chakra is weaker, but their size makes them far stronger than ordinary summoned beasts.
But their real focus is on this 'Ultimate Summoned Beast.' Since it requires too much energy, they feed it those giant creatures to sustain its transformation.
According to Honoka, if this beast is successfully developed, it could break the existing Tailed Beast system.
If Kumogakure created more of them, ruling the entire shinobi world wouldn't be a dream."
The group fell silent. Kumogakure had never hidden its ambitions, but no one expected them to be this ruthless.

"And if anything unexpected happens, I'll have the Slug Sage to back me up."
Tenzo rubbed his temple. This matter was too big. Mishandling it could throw the entire shinobi world into war.
After long thought, he sighed. "We'll need Lady Tsunade's decision. But even if we rushed back now, it'd take five or six days…"
"No need for that!" Itsuki grinned, pulling a palm-sized slug from his robe. "My aunt gave me this before I left. It's for communication."
Before departing, Tsunade had Itsuki sign a summoning contract with the slugs.
He hadn't practiced it much, but carrying a communication slug was more convenient.
"That makes things easier." Tenzo's expression relaxed. "We'll do whatever Lady Tsunade says."
He didn't have the right to decide anyway.
In fact, Tsunade had already been monitoring everything through the live broadcast in harem chat group that Karin had activated.
After consulting with the Slug Sage, Tsunade's response came quickly:
Tsunade has given approval. "It's worth a try!"
"Is this really necessary?" Honoka still resisted, clearly the final hurdle.

Honoka's breath caught. Finally, she sighed, "Fine. You saved me, so I'll listen to you. If you insist, I'll help… I have a method called 'Blood Feeding.'"
That stunned Itsuki.
The so-called blood feeding method required feeding blood to the beast before it fully developed intelligence, creating a blood bond. Not true kinship, but a bond like it.
That way, once it gained sentience, it would instinctively feel loyalty to the blood's owner.
And because it was still an embryo-like state, Itsuki could even influence its form with his will, guiding its evolution in a direction he chose.
This blood-feeding method was Honoka's own creation, blending Half-Moon Clan research with Uzumaki sealing techniques.
She had once secretly raised a spirit beast with this technique, but out of selfishness, she never reported it to the clan.
Now, Itsuki stood to benefit from it…
