Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Clear Intent!

General Jackson was sitting at his desk looking over the reports he received from Commander Ashton about the facility of Ra just south of a major city on a major planet. The whole thing was not sitting right with him as this type of operation should never have happened so close to home.

He knew he couldn't openly start a war against an organization like Ra but he was thinking he might be able to use Andrei to lure more out. He was about to find out that Andrei was a step ahead of him.

"General, Commander Ashton, here to speak to you sir!" The receptionist over his intercom spoke in a cheery manor. The General cleared his throat and ushered him in with a push of a button that unlocked and opened his office door.

"Need to update you on what just took place with Death Squad. 10 Ra attack vessels ambushed Death Squad as they exited the space portal in P221's solar system. The vessels were dealt with, just so you know we have a mole. They sent exactly the amount needed to pierce the defenses of the vehicle I placed for their transit."

"They never expected Goliath and according to Death Squad they had two more powerful ships that put up a fight briefly compared to the 8 that were killed in one shot from the Goliath. They were able to get the Beast Nest but the settlement was lost. I suggest leaving the Beast Nest with Death Squad and start assigning more. Do we still have the Sandarian's siblings?"

The General looked down at his computer to bring up the relevant answer. "They are all in very different predicaments if they are still alive. Might be a good assignment to get them to recruit or rescue them."

"We have to make sure everyone in the Academy that scored 20 or higher are competing this cycle!" A Sergeant spoke up in the conference of all the teachers, administrators and general staff associated with Hathin's Military Academy.

"Last cycle we held back, lost corporate money, had to delay updating facilities due to the loss of income. This cycle we need to make sure that we are at the top as all our jobs are on the lines." spoken from another teacher with concern.

"SPRU always takes our best and doesn't let them compete as they need to be doing more important things, but what can be more important than the literal future of the Academy?" An administrator complained from another part of the room.

There was an empty seat in the center which was held for General Jackson who never showed up to these meetings as he seldom was on the planet. The room without its leader was chaotic and no one was holding the meeting together.

They decided to ignore the SPRU's request to not have any of its members in the annual Academy arena battle. What they didn't realize was that they were going to cause a massive disruption in the dynamics of politics.

Henry and Jayson had developed a new technique in developing weapons that they were still refining as they had plenty of cores to practice with from the beast nest fun that Death Squad just embarked on. They figured the best thing they could do was to start selling their products to bring in credits for the group.

They first started selling the standard gear they made and soon received a massive order for more of it. The demand was so high that they felt that it was going to be too much for the two of them. They decided then that they would ignore all requests and focus on making what they could as best they could and sell it on the market.

Their products became the hottest commodity on the marketplace and their signature JH logo was starting to gain respect from all over the Galaxy. Standard gear was common but theirs was better than most intermediate gear.

Goliath gave them the ability to finish their product and add it to the market by scanning it into a console that would upload it to be sold. Goliath also handled the selling price by scanning the market every minute and based on the stats given and the tier of the gear theirs was priced higher than a decent amount of intermediate gear as well.

They had thousands of standard cores to get through and several hundred intermediate, yet they hadn't touched the latest epic core as they really weren't sure if they were reading it right that it would make a shield. They also were determined to figure out the indestructible trait that Edwin's shield had and they both had been studying in their free time about the subject.

Forger forums on the net talked about the few pieces that were known to be indestructible and that their origins all were unknown. They wanted to sample Edwin's shield but they didn't know how as it was indestructible.

Jayson was getting ready to reach out to Edwin to see if he could bring it when Andrei reached out through Lauren. "Just wanted to see how the Epic piece of gear is coming along" Andrei's voice appeared in his head.

"Hey Andrei, we haven't made it yet as we weren't sure if you wanted a shield as that is what it will be." Jayson told him in his mind.

"Why would it matter to me? Whatever can be made we will give it to someone who can utilize it. That applies for all that you make, no matter if it's thousands of legendary cores." Andrei responded giving Jayson enough reason to never think of that again.

"Oh by the way we have been perfecting our technique and been selling standard gear and it sells instantly upon us putting it onto the market. We are thinking about using the intermediates as well. Is that ok?" Jayson inquired while he was talking to the boss.

With that exchange Jayson told Henry about it and that they had the green light to make whatever they can at all times. They changed it up to the intermediate gear and their profits increased ten fold.
