The elevator doors opened directly into Lorenzo's penthouse. I stepped out and entered inside. Lorenzo immediately walked towards his room leaving me standing there alone.
After a minute, he came out. He'd changed his clothes.
"I have few of your items ready. I'll have Isabella take you shopping…"
"I can buy my own clothes."
"With what money? I froze your accounts, remember? Contract clause 17." He smiled. "Everything you need, I provide now. That was the deal."
"How generous of you."
"I am generous. You'll learn that. Come on. Let me show you your prison cell."
"Room. You mean room."
"Do I?" He started walking. "Let's find out."
"This is your room," Lorenzo said, opening a door.
I stepped inside. It was beautiful with a king size bed, sitting area, floor to ceiling windows, and white roses on the nightstand.
"You brought me flowers." I said .
"Isabella's idea. She thought it would make you feel welcome." His voice was neutral. "Do you like it?"
"It's just a room."
