Mayu walked over to Huai Hai. She tried shaking him to see if he would wake up but it didn't work. But luckily for her,Yuki wasn't heavy so Mayu managed to carry him. System 12 grabbed the book and hoodie.
When they got outside they saw that nothing was wrong and the hunters were still inside the building. Mr. Toshi was pacing back and forth anxiously,but relaxed when he saw Mayu.
Mayu placed Huai Hai on the ground with the help of Mr. Toshi. She breathed heavily,tired from carrying him down so many stairs. When she looked back,System 12 was gone.
Mayu could only wonder where she had gone.
"What going on dad?"
Mr. Toshi still looked restless
"I feel like something bad is definitely about to happen,stay here and watch Yuki, I'm going to warn the hunters".
Mayu nodded. Mr. Toshi smiled a little before his expression turned serious again. Then he walked into the half burnt mansion. In his late wife's room he found some hunters gathering up her remaining belongings.
He felt sad about having them here,but lives mattered more than belongings.
"Listen to me,place everything down and get out of this house now!" . Mr. Toshi didn't wait for a response then left to look for the rest of the hunters.
The hunters looked at each other,if they go back empty handed they won't receive anything,but if they managed to bring back something they'll receive a lot of money.
One of the newbies named Jeff decided to trust his Mr. Toshi.
He up picked up a diary and necklace and left the mansion. Mr. Toshi was in charge of them,even after screaming and ordering them to leave,all most of them refused, saying nothing bad was going to happen.
Mr. Toshi gave up and left the mansion, seeing that only one hunter listened to him.
The moment Mr. Toshi stepped outside the circle reappeared. A huge hole appeared and the mansion and everything in the circle sunk to the bottom of the hole,but they never heard anything fall.
Jeff looked at the sight in horror, mouth wide open. If he hasn't listened he would have died. Mr. Toshi wasn't that shocked but he still was a little,but mostly he felt sad that 17 hunters had lost their lives.
"Lisa" the unconscious Huai Hai whispered. Mayu heard him but didn't pay attention to it.
Mayu's phone began ringing again,when she checked she found out it was from the nurse who was looking after Lisa. She answered.
"Miss!, Lisa's acting extremely weird and has just lost consciousness!".
Mayu told Me. Toshi what had happened and he helped get Huai Hai into the car, speeding off to the hospital. Why was all these strange things suddenly happening?
