Mayu stared at the note,the book was the only clue they found in that house and now the pages were missing. Mayu wanted to ask her more,but she didn't know where she had disappeared to.
Her phone buzzed with a new message. She placed the paper in the pocke present in the jacket and checked the message.
[S rank hunter Mayu you have been summoned by the HA for an emergency meeting].
Mayu signed,it seems the book will have to wait. She called their family driver to pick her up. Luckily the driver wasn't home at the time of the fire. A black telsa Xpaid pulled up at the hospital a minute later.
Mayu met the driver and told him to look after Lisa and Huai Hai. She got in the car and the car drove away to HA headquarters.
The car drove untill it stopped at a shop. She parked the car and walked into the shop.
"Where can I get eight strawberries and one apple?".
Mayu asked the cashier. She smiled and pointed to her left.
"Sorry but we're currently out. We're sorry to trouble you but I think there's someone in the storage room".
Mayu thanked her and headed to her left,she came across a door. She showed her ID and the door automatically opened and shut once she stepped through. There were many doors with names on them.
She searched until she came across one with eight strawberries and one apple. She opened the door and saw an elevator. She stepped in and pressed the highest floor. It led her to another door.
she opened it and found 23 people including Mr. Toshi seated. She also took her seat. A female with red hair stood up, papers in hand. Her eyes were covered with a blindfold but it seems she could see perfectly.
"Thank you all for joining us in such a short amount of time. It's only been an hour since the Toshi family Mansion was destroyed and a huge hole appeared. I bet some of you haven't even heard about it yet. But things are extremely bad".
She put on her glasses and looked through the papers,then continued
"We find out that after the appearance of the hole,which original name is the abyss there have being a devastating amount of lives lost. Not just here but around the world,after much research we found out that hole is actually a portal to the underworld".
She got up from her seat and projected the hole,which was much wider than before.
"America has suffered 2000 deaths,Korea 350, Philippines 1000,India 400, Tokyo 900.
And this is just the smallest umbers. The rest are much worse,and abyss continues spreading, using the deaths o these people to grow".
She paused and looked at the hunters
"The HA wants all the present 10 hunters to go in and explore the abyss,while the rest will try to find out the person behind this. I won't lie, you might just die.... So all those who will go, please raise your hand"
The woman put up her hand,some other hunters also put up their hands, including Mr. Toshi. Only Mayu didn't put up her hand
