Security moved to intercept him, but Damien's presence was intimidating enough that no one dared approach too closely. Phones appeared, quietly trying to record the spectacle, but one of the security men, who had been with Noah and Jossy at the hospital, stopped them from recording. He had been looking into Damien's movements, and had been responsible for throwing him off whenever he came close to discovering where Jossy was.
The receptionist quickly made a call, and
Noah's assistant, her face tight with worry, walked swiftly into his office to report. "Mr. Lennox, Mr. Rothwell is downstairs. He is making a scene. And he, he seems intoxicated. Security can't subdue him and he refuses to leave."
Noah pinched the bridge of his nose, suppressing his frustration. He knew the last thing he needed was news footage of Damien causing a commotion in the lobby, especially with Jossy's safety still fragile. He weighed the options, then made a decision.
"Fine," he said. "Go pick him, and use the private elevator. Make sure he goes straight to my office escorted by security, and, do not let anyone record him along the way. Also, make sure no one has recorded him so far. This is a private matter"
Moments later, the private elevator doors opened, and Damien stormed in, still waving his arms. His eyes were wild, scanning the room looking for Noah.
Noah waited inside his office, calm and collected as always. The minute Damien entered, he dismissed everyone, except for the two of his personal guards. He didn't want people knowing too much.
"What is this, Noah?" Damien shouted, stepping forward. "I demand to know where she is! You!.." His words faded as he caught Noah calmly looking at him, as if studying him.
