I woke up and reached out to the other side of the bed, expecting to feel Damien's arm or at least the warmth from his body. But the space beside me was empty.
My eyes opened fully then, and I blinked a few times. The curtains were half drawn, and from the way the room was lit, it was already morning. I looked back to the empty bed, where the hell was he?
I pushed myself up but immediately winced. My entire body felt sore. My thighs, my lower back, even the inside of my knees. Last night came rushing back so fast I had to cover my face with my hands for a second. I could still feel him on my skin. I could still hear the sound of my own voice calling his name.
And God… I could definitely still feel how intense he had been. No wonder my legs felt like jelly.
