Pierre Ivanovich Sokolov was originally a geography graduate.
Until, by chance, he met a noblewoman named Eirymes Viktorovna Petrenko. The two were a natural match, drawn to each other at first sight.
The noblewoman told Pierre that because she was born without Originium Arts and wasn't academically gifted, she was despised by her parents and bullied by her brothers in her misogynistic noble family.
Pierre felt pity for her. Their relationship heated up quickly, and they became a couple.
After Eirymes's parents died, she only inherited a small part of the family's assets and her parents' Infected-mine business. Though unhappy, they settled into the lives of bosses. They only had to sign a few unimportant documents each day to have plenty of money to squander.
This life continued until, by chance, a worker named "Diavolo" dug up six [Arrows] with special abilities in their mine.
The arrows were turned over to them. At first, Pierre thought they were just ordinary relics. But the arrows were abnormally sharp. While inspecting them, Eirymes accidentally pricked herself. When Pierre rushed to help, he was also pricked.
And so, Pierre gained [Warne Marsh], a Stand that was a perfect counter to non-Stand users. As long as he used it from a distance, he could slowly kill any enemy.
Unfortunately, the next day, the worker named Diavolo stole all six arrows. He fled Ursus so quickly that they never found him.
Fortunately, because of his powerful Stand, his partner Eirymes became even more reliant on him. But for some reason, she began to fill his head with extremist ideas.
Although he sensed her words were manipulative, he was new to the world and naively believed her. Unknowingly, his originally honest and timid personality was completely transformed.
In truth, their relationship had not been led by the introverted Pierre, but by the extroverted Eirymes. But their roles had bizarrely reversed.
Confirming Pierre's death, Yu Yachen slowly stood up. She turned, her steps unhurried, toward the Ursus woman she had punched away.
The stump of her index finger was still bleeding. The white-haired woman's face was blank.
She glanced into the forest. A frozen lake came into view. Unknowingly, they had moved back to the lake's shore.
"Pierre... Pierre!"
The Ursus woman clutched her stomach, roaring in anger.
Seeing her partner was dead, and knowing she couldn't beat this woman alone, her expression turned ferocious. "Useless! Useless trash!"
She quietly hid her right hand behind her back.
"Damn it! Since we got together, haven't I been the one supporting you in everything?! And you can't even do the one thing I need, which is to protect me and make me feel secure? To lose... to lose to a woman..."
"And that lowly Infected! He looked so poor, yet he just had to jump in. Infected are lower than frog piss! They should rot in the mines for their whole lives!"
She raised her left hand, grabbing her hair.
"Damn it! He was just a simp! A damned simp! That's why I say the Infected are just low-IQ animals! That idiot only helped you because you're pretty! That's right! You only beat us because of that face!"
She grit her teeth, glaring at Yu Yachen.
"Are you finished?"
Yu Yachen took a step forward.
"Don't come near me! You bitch!"
The agitated Ursus woman roared. "When did scum like you earn the right to stand on the same level as me? Damn it... this feeling... it's worse than being violated!"
"I'll remember this. I'll remember this [Insult] you've dealt me! You bitch! I will pay you back tenfold! I'll make you taste an [Insult] deeper than drinking soup from a shoe!"
"..."
Good. She hasn't noticed.
The Ursus woman cheered internally.
This was a trick she had just learned, inspired by Yu Yachen's [Sticky Fingers].
Eirymes had secretly detached her [Paper Hearts]'s arm. Her Stand was made of paper, and she could control the paper. The pale-white arm fell to the ground, almost blending in with the snow.
She didn't know if she could reattach the arm later, but she couldn't worry about that now.
10 meters... 5 meters... 2 meters...
The arm gradually approached Yu Yachen. The Ursus woman's lips curled into a smile.
"Idiot! Did you think I'd just wait for you to get close? I was just stalling for time! You're finished!"
The arm crawling through the snow suddenly leaped up, lunging for the white-haired woman's neck.
At the same time, [Sticky Fingers] appeared. Just like before, Yu Yachen whipped her arm, and the zippered fist flew at Eirymes like a cannonball.
But Eirymes was prepared. She quickly dodged. The high-speed fist grazed her face, cutting a bloody line, and hit the tree behind her.
"Hahahaha! Did you think the same trick would work on me twice?!"
Eirymes's taunt rang out. And now, her Stand's arm had caught Yu Yachen by the neck.
"I win!"
Yu Yachen's body was weak. With just a small squeeze, her neck would snap!
But at that exact moment! She heard the sound of a zipper behind her.
Eirymes froze. A huge shadow fell over her. What was that?
"And why," Yu Yachen continued, her face blank, "did you think you could beat me with my own trick?"
The tree behind Eirymes suddenly toppled. The thick trunk smashed down on her head with a sickening crack.
"BAM!"
The sudden attack made the Ursus woman's eyes roll back. Her scalp split open, and blood gushed out. The heavy impact almost knocked her unconscious.
Yu Yachen knew Eirymes would be expecting the punch. So her target, from the beginning, had been the tree behind her. She put a zipper on it, and then toppled it onto her for a secondary attack.
With the user severely injured, the hand on Yu Yachen's neck went limp.
"Lowly people... will always fail, no matter what they do. Especially a despicable person like you."
"You were talking about [Insult]?"
Yu Yachen said, her face blank. She raised two fingers on her left hand, pointing at Eirymes, who had been thrown toward her.
"You insulted the dignity of the Infected named Ivan. A young man... a kind soul full of hope for life. When faced with an [Insult]... even the act of murder is forgiven by God, isn't it?"
"Except, I don't need God's permission to kill. I will ensure you are never reincarnated. You can repent in hell for all the people you've killed."
As Yu Yachen's words fell, the extended arm of Sticky Fingers grabbed the woman's collar, yanking her toward Yu Yachen.
The zipper retracted. As Eirymes was pulled into the air, she arrived right above Yu Yachen.
[Sticky Fingers] took a punching stance. It unleashed a fist into the Ursus woman's face.
"BAM!"
Her [Paper Hearts] could reduce the damage she took. If that was the case, Yu Yachen decided... she would just pulverize her entire body.
A rain of fists fell on the Ursus woman. Sticky Fingers roared, as if to tear the thing in front of it to shreds.
"ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI!!!!!"
Sticky Fingers's fists left countless zippers all over her torso, limbs, and neck.
"ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI!!!!!"
Sticky Fingers's fists became a blur, the storm of blows distorting Eirymes's muscles. The woman's eyes rolled back as she lost consciousness.
"ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI-ARI!!!!!"
The roaring Stand shattered every bone in her body, making her taste true agony, beating her into a pulp!
"ALLIEAH!!!!!"
"BAM!"
One final, heavy punch from Sticky Fingers sent the Ursus woman flying. As she flew, all the zippers on her body unzipped at once. In mid-air, Eirymes was instantly divided into countless pieces of flesh.
"Arrivederci. (Goodbye.)"
Yu Yachen said, her face blank.
Finally, the cold wind carried Eirymes's body parts onto the frozen lake. With a crack, the ice broke, and the woman's remains sank into the water.
