Ranpo explained to Fugaku "Kazuma isn't the kind of kid who trains, what he does is simple. He looks at what he's capable of and estimates himself. He toys with his abilities, puts himself in situations that would make him improve. When you're training, you show difficultly by pushing yourself in order to get better, but Kazuma? That boy practically enjoys himself. To him, training is just a journey, a journey to get to whatever height you want to attain.". Fugaku just smirked "He's really that broken, huh? You have one hell of a student, I'll admit, the kid picks my interest at times.", Ranpo looked at Fugaku "Hm? How so?". Fugaku explained, he scoffed at first "You see, that boy has already studied what he can do and can't do at the moment. I know I never told you this, but I once called him into my office, I wanted him to tell me himself how strong he could get as time went on.....", Fugaku almost laughed "You know what he said?", he asked Ranpo. Ranpo replied "No?", Fugaku told Ranpo "The kid said he thinks he can reach S-rank in his mid 30's.". Ranpo paused for a moment "S-rank....? Okay, now the kid's overestimating himself.", he said. Fugaku then explained "You know, that idea doesn't seem far off from him.", Ranpo asked "How so? I mean, acheiving S-rank is almost a myth. There are only two people in the world that have achieved that level of power.". Fugaku tilted his head towards Ranpo with a smirk "Two? What If I told you there are other S-ranks in the world. Would you believe me?", Ranpo sighed "I don't know, maybe?". Fugaku just smiled again "Hm, whatever. That Kazuma boy of yours sure knows what he's doing. He doesn't try to be the smartest kid around, nor does he try to make it seem he's the strongest or the best person around. All he does is just work on himself and increase his potential. It's kids like that, that become the most dangerous set soliders when they're adults.". Ranpo took a look at Fugaku with a look of confusion and suspicion "You really are more confident in the boy than even me.",Fugaku just sighed "Well, whatever.", he got up and walked away. Ranpo sighed again "There are other S-ranks in the world, huh. I know that In history, only two people have been known to have the power to the destroy the entire world, or atleast have the capacity to destroy all life on earth in mere seconds. But still, it's a bit off to me.". Ranpo scoffed with a smirk "What am I saying....? I myself have the ability to wipe out a few countries if I felt like, so why am I talking?". The next day, in the city around 10:09AM, Kazuma was laying on his bed playing video games as usual. While doing so, he realised that he wasn't able to use the thumb of his bandaged left arm as good as he's used too. For Kazuma, turning his character and using it to fight his opponent in the game was hard. Kazuma's life points had reduced drastically due to his performance in the game, eventually, his character was able to win with a kick [GAME OVER! WINNER: PLAYER 1]. Kazuma stared at his screen before dropping his console "Hah! What a pain. Normally, I would have won that game easily with a few kicks and a special move. But with the way my left arm hurts, I can't even use my left thumb properly", he said to himself. Kazuma sat up and thought to himself "Mio and I slept together till evening yesterday, it's funny because we also made out.", he remembered himself and Mio kissing each other softly on the bed. Kazuma's face turned to that of a wierd look of slight disappointment "That's the first time ive actually done something like that. And to be honest, I enjoyed it.", he looked at his damage hand "But it doesn't change the fact that my left arm is practically damaged.". Suddenly, Kazuma heard a knock at his door, he asked "Who is it?", Kazuma walked all the way to the door, opened it and realised Kito was the one standing at the other end "Kito?", Kazuma called his friend's name with surprise. Kito waved to Kazuma "Yo, got a minute?". Kito and Kazuma where sitted on the bed, Kito asked "How's your left arm feeling right now?", Kazuma replied "I can barely feel it.". Kito looked at Kazuma's bandaged left arm, he blinked "Wow, that arm's almost as good as gone.", Kazuma asked "You can tell just by looking at it? You've really gotten better at perception.". Kito scratched his head "You think so? Thanks, but back to you.", he asked "So, what have you been up too?", Kazuma explained "Trying to get some rest and hoping I don't have any missions for the next month. Although, walking around and trying to get myself on my feet is something I do. Can't wallow in rest forever, now.". Kito smiled at his friend "Hm, still training huh? Well with the way we are now, we shouldn't train much at all. To be honest, I want to take a break, but we all know that's impossible.", Kazuma cracked a smile "You know the game too well.". Kito then asked "How long do you think we'd live, Kazuma?", Kazuma replied "I don't know. We can literally die at any moment, although, if we continue to stay strong and keep going stronger, I think we can survive for as long as we want.". Kito took his time to register what Kazuma had said, Kazuma then said "Kito, i want to ask you something.", Kito replied "Sure, what do you wanna ask?". Kazuma asked his question "If I were to die, what would you do?". Kito blinked and took a moment to think "To be honest, if you where to die, I'd be really lonely.", Kazuma's head tilted a bit as he looked at Kito with the corner of his left eye. Kazuma didn't question anything, he just scoffed with a soft smile "Hm, if you died, I wouldn't know what to do. That's just me being honest.". Both boys kept quiet for a while until Kito stood up and broke the silence "Come on, let's get your hand fixed and working again.", he said to Kazuma with his hand stretched out, Kazuma looked at Kito "Get my hand fixed?", Kito explained "I know someone who can help you with your arm, trust.".
