Silva was undergoing one of the most stressful trials he has ever undertaken in his life. His uncle Apollo had told him that they will meet to talk one day. But he never imagined it will go like this.
Just two hours ago he was strategizing with Chiron to increase the security within the camp and push its borders a bit so that the Barrier becomes the last form of defence instead of the first. But right as he was in the middle of it.
"Alright Silva, I think it's time you talked to your uncle. This is the perfect time you can complete that part of your life every demigod goes through" Chiron said with a serious expression.
Silva was confused as he had no idea what it was but suddenly he was yanked off from where he was sitting by a strong arm.
"Now what did I hear, my nephew had never been to school. I may look like I am easy-going, but one thing I cannot compromise is the lack of educational qualification for demigods in the real world. I even wrote a thesis about it. "How Demigods can be cooler with Educational studies"" Apollo started ranting on and on as he was dragging Silva with his arm while his chariot was running at full force towards the city.
Silva was trying his best to listen to what Apollo was saying while having his senses rattled due to the speed at which they were flying in the sky. But the only thing he was able to get was that his uncle was just as bad as naming things as he was composing haikus. He once heard Chiron talking about how Apollo's haiku's are feared by most gods.
Thankfully he never created one in Silva's vicinity.
But the next thing that happened was something that Silva never imagined happening. He was sitting on a desk filled with papers the size of a thick encyclopaedia and a teacher who was wiping her tears because of the sad story she heard from his supposed guardian.
Silva was brought to a school where his knowledge and education is being tested. Unlike the few other demigods who took part in classes or at least took a yearly test in mortal education, Silva was fully focussed on his godly side. Training to be faster, stronger and better.
But for these teachers right now, he was a guy who was lost in the wild for the last ten years and had only been introduced to society for the last six months. Most of the teachers in the school who heard the tragic and overdramatised tale from the god of drama were convinced and was offering sympathies while conducting the exam. They kept on telling him that it will be alright and they will help no matter what kind of eligibility he had. And seeing the thumps up Apollo gave, Silva knew that even Apollo was expecting him to have low marks.
Maybe Apollo thought that he is giving his nephew a good gift by making him take a test in this school which according to the observations Silva made when he came in, told him was a kind place that took care of their students wholeheartedly. The trees and nature nearby had welcomed him as well as informed him about it. So, he knew Apollo was getting him an admission here so he can slowly get back into society.
Maybe he looked like a jungle kid to others, maybe even the demigods at camp might have thought that he will have no skills required in the concrete jungle in the cities. But he was something that no one else knew.
He was not just the son of Artemis and Diana; he was not just any powerful demigod. He was Silva, the orphan boy who had a small fortune by the age of seventeen with a lot of connections as well as good friends and skills. Knowledge was something that never became his shortcoming. He had made sure of that.
He checked the stack of papers and the questions within it. Each set of questions contained the entirety of what the student is supposed to study each year. Silva checked the first paper, preschool. Took him ten minutes.
The teacher checked it and smiled while Silva was completing the rest.
But as the time passed, the teachers as well as the others outside found something different, instead of slowing down as the harder year questions appeared, Silva was not stopping his race at all. Even Apollo had an eyebrow raised when he looked what his nephew was doing. One of the teachers decided to check the completed works and found out a few things.
He skipped most of history, but maths and science were accurate. Some even done by methods that the teacher never had seen before. Silva did not remember the dates as well as most of the historic elements. But he remembered maths, his reasoning skills as well as well as his knowledge about physics, biology and chemistry without any problems.
While the teachers were astonished by this, they discovered something even more scary that they never noticed before due to being distracted. The entire eligibility test contained tests starting from preschool to college entrance level questions. Silva was clearly at the age of a middle school student, but right now he was doing questions of the high school level tests. Just a quick look told the teachers that he was mostly accurate about what he was writing.
Then he slowed down a bit when it came to trigonometry and calculus. But within a few minutes, he sped up again, as if that was enough for him to adapt to the complicated questions in front of him.
By now the teachers outside had entered the room while looking at the completed works, most of them filled with disbelief about what they saw just now. And within that time, Silva finished the last test within the entire stack.
"Is it over?" Silva asked with an innocent expression, not at all minding the fact that the teachers who were looking at him with pity just moments ago was now looking at him like he had grown a new head and a ballistic missile in his body within the last few minutes.
"Take this tag" a teacher who had her head put together gave him a temporary tag with his name written on it. "You can use it to explore the school while we check all the papers, just make sure not to disturb any classes"
Silva nodded and went out, not knowing he would have had it easier if he had remained nearby instead of wandering around.
A/N- hope you like it.
