The moment turns emotional when Adam begins to question himself, wondering if he is boring compared to the rest of his family. Instead of laughing it off, Genesis comforts him, admitting that even he and Kail have doubts about themselves. He tells Adam that he doesn't need to become like anyone else — he just needs to live, learn, and grow as himself. The two share a rare father-and-son moment, strengthening their bond before the duel begins.
Wanting to understand the limits of Genesis's memory loss, Adam asks him to create something small, then something massive. When Genesis creates a universe-sized object, he immediately forgets the question Adam told him to remember, proving that his power comes with consequences.
Before they can continue, the sky of the Candy Cosmos suddenly distorts. A tear in time opens above them, and Kail, Chrona, and Eve crash down from the future, slamming directly into Genesis. Exhausted and irritated, Kail warns them that no one is going into the future again, while Chrona complains about how much she hates the future. Eve, however, quietly admits that the boy she met there was kind, leaving an uneasy feeling in the air as the timeline stabilizes.
The duel is still waiting to begin… but now the cost of creation — and the danger of time — has been revealed.
Setting: Candy cosmos
Adam (calmly speaking):
"Eve and Chrona must've gone pretty far… if Mother is ripping holes in the sky."
Genesis (confused):
"Why did you guess they'd fall through the sky at maximum speed?"
Adam (calm, slightly confused):
"…And why did you mention the future, Mother?"
Kail (frustrated, holding her head):
"UGHHHH—can I get my thoughts straight for ONE second?!"
Chrona (tiredly, sighing):
"Okay… long story short…"
Chrona quickly explains what happened—how she and Eve traveled 2,032 years into the future.
Genesis (eyes wide, excited):
"OHHHHHH WOWWWWW!! You guys went into the FUTURE?! That's so coolllll!!"
Chrona (instantly energized, smiling):
"YEAH! The future was so nice and beautiful—and the way everything looked was so fun! Right, Eveeeeeee~~?"
Eve doesn't respond.
She's still staring at the tear in space… where the future once connected.
Her hands tremble slightly.
Eve (softly, confused, staring at her hands):
"That boy's energy… felt just like Papa's…"
She tightens her grip slightly.
Eve (quiet, emotional):
"It felt so warm… and soft… so gentle…"
Kail (soft, motherly tone):
"Eve… please don't do anything that dangerous again."
She gently places her hand on Eve's head.
Kail (gentle, but serious):
"I know how curious you can be… but for the sake of the future—and everything else—you must not interfere with it."
She pauses slightly.
Kail (softly):
"That goes for everyone… not just you, okay?"
Eve (sadly, looking down):
"I'm sorry, Mommy… I won't do that anymore…"
Kail's expression softens immediately.
She kneels down to Eve's level.
Kail (softly, reassuring):
"No, Eve… you can still be curious."
Eve slowly looks up.
Kail (gentle smile):
"Just be careful. That's all I'm asking."
Eve's eyes light up instantly.
Eve (excited):
"WAIT—so I can STILL be curious, Mommy?!"
Kail (soft smile):
"Of course, honey."
Eve (jumping with joy):
"YEAHHHHHHH!!"
Kail pulls Eve into a warm hug.
Eve hugs her back tightly, smiling.
Kail and Eve slowly let go of each other.
Kail turns her head toward Chrona.
Kail (playfully angry):
"…Now you."
Chrona (instantly panicking):
"Uh-oh—WAITTTTT—"
Kail lightly karate-chops Chrona on the head.
Chrona (blinking, confused):
"…Uhhhh… that was anti-climactic."
She tilts her head slightly.
Chrona (thinking out loud):
"From what I've seen—when I didn't have a body—you were way scarier when you got mad…"
Genesis bursts out laughing.
Genesis (laughing):
"Haaaaa! Kail acts all scary, but deep inside she's just a soft cutie!"
Kail freezes.
Her face turns red.
Kail (flustered):
"BE QUIET, GENESISSSSSSS!!"
Genesis (smiling, hands up):
"My baaaaddddd~"
Kail exhales, trying to calm herself.
She refocuses on Chrona.
Kail (gathering her thoughts, softer tone):
"Anyways… Chrona."
She gently places her hand on Chrona's head.
Kail (gentle):
"I know you get bored easily… but we can do other fun things instead of going into the future."
A small pause.
Kail (soft smile):
"So next time you're bored… just ask, okay?"
She pulls Chrona into a warm hug, just like she did with Eve.
Chrona (melting into the hug):
"Soooooofftttttt…"
Kail (sighing):
"…Great. Now she's not letting go."
Chrona (softly, holding on tighter):
"The future was boring anyway… like I said earlier."
She smiles slightly.
Chrona (Smiling):
"But you said we can have lots of fun whenever I want… so I'm satisfied."
Eve tilts her head curiously.
Eve (softly):
"What were you guys doing while we were gone, Papa and Adam?"
Chrona glances around.
Her eyes land on the swirling portal nearby.
Chrona (confused):
"…And is that portal supposed to be there?"
Genesis (full of energy):
"Yeah! That portal is where me and Adam are about to have the FINAL round of our game!"
Adam (calmly):
"…And you haven't beaten me once."
Genesis (determined, pointing):
"I WAS GOING TO WIN THIS TIMEEEEEE!!"
Kail (confused):
"…What game?"
Genesis quickly explains the duel to Kail, Eve, and Chrona.
Eve (eyes sparkling):
"THAT SOUNDS LIKE SO MUCH FUNNNNN!! I WANNA WATCH!!"
Chrona (excited):
"YEAHHHH!! I WANNA DUEL TOOOOO!!"
Kail (casually eating candy):
"…That actually does sound interesting."
Genesis (smiling):
"Yeah, we were just about to start before I found out I have that short-term thing."
Kail (confused):
"Short-term… what is that?"
Adam (calmly):
"It's called short-term memory loss."
Kail, Eve, and Chrona all stare blankly.
Adam (calmly explaining):
"I'll simplify it. If Father creates something too big… he forgets things."
A pause.
Adam (calm expression):
"If it's small… he remembers."
Instantly—
Kail, Eve, and Chrona rush Genesis.
Kail (grabbing his face, panicking):
"IS HE GOING TO BE OKAY?! DID HE BREAK HIS SKULL?!"
Eve (teary):
"Is Papa going to forget us…?"
Chrona (floating upside down, poking his forehead):
"Aww mannn… so he's not gonna be creative anymore? That's lame."
Kail (yelling):
"STOP POKING HIM, YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!!"
Genesis laughs softly.
Genesis (warm smile):
"Hey, hey… don't worry, guys. I'll be fineeeee."
He gently pats Eve's head.
Genesis (warm smile):
"I just have to be careful with what I create. That's all."
Adam watches all of this silently.
The concern.
The chaos.
The love.
His expression softens.
Adam (thinking):
"…Father was right."
He looks at Kail. Eve. Chrona.
Adam (thinking):
"They don't care if I'm boring… or fun."
A small smile forms.
Adam (softly):
"They just care about me… being myself."
He takes a breath.
Then—
Adam (smiling):
"I love you guys."
Silence.
Everyone freezes.
Eve (blushing, stunned):
"...…."
Chrona (shocked):
"IS HE SMILINGGGGGG?!"
Kail (surprised, soft):
"Adam… your smile is so cute."
She tilts her head slightly.
Kail ( Surprised):
"But what brought this on all of a sudden?"
Genesis smiles proudly.
Kail looks at him—
…and understands.
She smiles too.
Eve (flustered, holding her chest):
"M-My heart won't stop beating so fast… why…?"
Chrona (teasing):
"Come onnnnn! Show us that cute smile againnnn!"
Adam (blushing, looking away):
"…Now I'm definitely not smiling anymore."
Suddenly—
Chrona stops.
Completely still.
Kail's expression drops.
Silence.
The air shifts.
Chrona (quietly):
"…wait."
A faint distortion ripples through the sky.
The portal flickers.
Kail (low voice):
"…I feel it too."
