A gust of wind cut the air behind Leinster and the alarm in his mind blared noisily.
Danger!
With a superhuman reflex, Leinster dodged to the right and right after, a thick root whipped down at his previous spot, just a paper-thin away from Leinster's body.
Bang!
"Kieekkk!!"
—K-kill...kill!!!
The dying plant monster finally entered the "big boss' final phase" and started to target Leinster, determined to bring him to death.
Smash! Smash! Smash!
The two thick roots smashed down at Leinster, as if it was playing a whack-mole game.
Leinster quickly dodged the attack and thought of the "safe zone".
Should he enter his cleared ruin, or?
Seeing the group of new survivors and the number of viewers that kept rising to 800, Leinster took back his foot that had already stepped onto the range of the "safe zone".
Ooopsiesss~ How could he run away when there's bound to be something fun here?
The group of new survivors and the cold man with a scythe watched the silver-haired man suddenly turn around, actually running away from the "safe zone"!
Everyone, including the viewers, only had one thought.
Is this guy an idiot??
The "idiot" alien secretly slurped the thick emotions lingering in the air and quickly filled up his emo gauge— mainly the Fear Gauge.
[Sorrow Gauge: 5]
[Fear Gauge: 30->70]
[Wrath Gauge: 10]
As the green liquid in the Fear Gauge started to rise, a burst of sour and bitter taste entered Leinster's mouth, making him scrunch his eyebrows in pain.
Pah! Pah! Pah! So sour! And bitter!
So this is the taste of fear? It's sooo bad!!
If Leinster was an earthling, he would have rated it a one star, but he wasn't, so the alien could only accept the bad food and immediately purchased a skill in the [Fear Store] that he was already eyeing.
[Level 1 Face Your Fear Mirror: 50 Fear emo]
[Reflect the target's damage by 100% for a target of the same level as the caster~ 50% for any target above the caster's level.]
[Recommended: With 20 Fear Emo, upgrade it to level 3!]
Leinster was feeling generous and most importantly, didn't mind losing such bad food, so he immediately made a big purchase.
Buy level 3 [Face Your Fear Mirror]!
[ -70 Fear Gauge]
[OmO, thank you for your purchase~ ]
A green swirl immediately appeared above Leinster's hand and it slowly formed a...hand mirror.
A tiny one the size of a palm, but if Leinster was an earthling, he would have recognized the mirror as the famous one in the "Snow White".
This was the first time his skill created an item aside from the corrosive liquid that could still fall under a skill category.
Fiddling with the mirror, Leinster faced the enraged monster plant with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey, you— "
A phrase subconsciously emerged from his depth of consciousness, maybe the memory of this bipedal body.
Leinster subconsciously blurted out what surfaced in his mind.
"Mirror mirror on my palm~ who's the fairest of them all?"
It's definitely him, right? He's white from head to toe!
The mirror didn't respond, but Leinster playfully directed the palm mirror onto the plant monster.
Coincidentally, the monster's thick roots were smashing straight at Leinster's head.
Its green-ish roots were clearly reflected on the mirror and the next second, the mirror suddenly glowed in an eerie green light!
Leinster's face was cast with the eerie green light and his ruby eyes glowed like a starved ghost.
"Mirror mirror on my palm, who is the least fairest of them all?"
The mirror only shone upon the thick roots and then...
The thick roots suddenly changed directions and smashed straight at the plant monster's own head.
Bang! Bang!
"Kieekkk!!!"
—W-what?! What is this?!!
The monster screamed in disbelief as its plant head was dented by its own roots.
Following the monster's scream, Leinster's hoarse voice floated by.
"Hehehe, mirror mirror...the least fairest of them all is definitely the one in front of me!"
The mirror slowly dissipated into a green mist and entered Leinster's palm.
At the background, the plant monster was clutching its head with the same roots that smashed it, its huge body slowly collapsing to the floor.
BOOM!
With a loud noise, dust stirred up and the plant monster ceased to move, staying as still as a rock.
DING! [Congratulations for killing a level three monster for the first time!]
[Unfortunately, you are in an Active Ruin Zone, not inside a ruin, so there won't be a reward ^^]
Leinster's eyelids twitched at the system's insincere smile but then, as the dust slowly subsided, the enormous plant's carcass suddenly flashed and disappeared out of the blue.
Leinster almost choked on the dust as he shed a single tear.
Huh? Where's the big baby? Where's his food?
He's about to eat it!!
Just then, a palm-sized card suddenly shot out of the dust cloud and went straight onto Leinster's heart.
The card flew so fast that even with a superhuman reflex, Leinster only saw a glimpse of the card and the card had already entered his chest.
Shaaaa...
The card instantly disappeared, as if Leinster "ate" it whole, but the alien's face instantly turned green.
What the hell??
What kind of thing had just entered his body??
