"Lord Tsuchikage. The kid called Kagami claimed that he had mastered the technique that you gave him." An Iwa shinobi said as he kneeled in front of Onoki.
"Mastered the technique? Already? It's only been two days." Onoki seems somewhat surprised.
He should be discussing ways to reduce the weight on the body—the basics of the jutsu instead of fully mastering the jutsu. Onoki thought in his mind.
"For a rookie who has just become a Genin that is still very fast. Tell him to come to my office." Onoki replied.
He wanted to test whether or not Kagami had truly mastered the jutsu.
If he did, Onoki would accept him as his second personal disciple, so that he could train him to become another weapon for the village hidden in the stones.
It was kind of rare for a twelve-year-old to possess the skills required for him to be able to graduate from the shinobi school during his first day of attending.
And it is much rarer for that child to be able to learn a B-rank justu within two days without anyone supervising.
In Onoki's mind if Kagami has really learned and mastered the light-weight technique he is definitely more than qualified to be taken under his direct supervision.
At that moment someone opened the door of the room.
It was a black haired little girl who was around thirteen or fourteen years old.
"Gandpa. When are you going to teach me the Dust release?" She asked.
"Kurotsuchi. Didn't I tell you not to enter my office without my permission?" Onoki scolded with a stiff expression on his face.
She was his granddaughter.
"I am sorry." She apologized.
His expression then softened after he heard her apology.
"You get out of here first," Onoki said as he looked at the Iwa Shinobi.
"Yes. Then please excuse me lord Tsuchikage." The Iwa shinobi bowed then left the room only leaving Onoki and Kurotsuchi behind.
"Kurotsuchi. We have been over this already."
"Even if I wanted to teach you that jutsu I can't until you have mastered all three elements of earth, wind, and fire. And that is just the bare minimum requirements just to be able to start the training." He said.
"Even Deridara who possesses much more talent than you and someone whom I considered as my future successor is not able to meet those requirements." He continued.
"But Deridara-nee has his explosion jutsu. While I the granddaughter of the Tsuchikage have nothing." She complained.
"I have already mastered Earth and Fire. Can't you just teach me that jutsu? I won't mind if it's not as powerful as yours." She said.
He frowned when he heard her words.
She then saw his expression and lowered her head.
She also knows that it's not that he doesn't want to teach her that technique but she wasn't able to learn it because she doesn't have the aptitude for wind nature.
"If you don't have anything else to say you can leave. I don't want to waste my time listening to your complaints." Onoki said to Kurotsuchi.
"Yes. Grandpa." She replied.
"...." Onoki then looked at her as if she had made a mistake.
"I mean lord Tsuchikage." She corrected herself before excusing herself.
