Above the orange rocky wasteland, two advanced Mobile Suits had met. The clean white White Gundam, now holding the Beam Sub Machine Gun, and the sleek and aggressive Romeo Blu Gundam, hovering in the air with its thrusters roaring.
The battle began without preamble.
Zaki, inside the White Gundam's cockpit, felt adrenaline surge. He knew this unit was different from the Bishop. "Maki, their dual engine is much more stable. Don't let them lock onto our movement! We have to keep moving!"
"Understood, Zaki! Sensors locked on the blue unit! Airspeed Mach 1.5!" Maki replied.
The Romeo Blu Gundam, piloted by Wars Stinger, was the first to attack with wild aggression.
"Aya, hit that white ghost with the Beam Rifles! Don't let him breathe! Chase him down!" Wars yelled, his voice filled with battle excitement.
The two Beam Rifles in the Romeo Blu's hands fired a barrage of green energy beams. The beams came at high speed, creating an unpredictable firing pattern, forcing the White Gundam to maneuver between the rays. Wars controlled the unit brutally, utilizing the Romeo Blu's dual engine advantage to perform unexpected zig-zag movements in the air.
The White Gundam retaliated, Zaki firing the new Beam Sub Machine Gun in rapid burst mode. The weapon spat out energy beams with high accuracy and a much faster rate of fire than a regular Beam Rifle.
The two Mobile Suits engaged in an intense aerial chase, firing at each other. Beam rays from both sides streaked through the air, creating small explosions as they missed and hit the rocks below.
"Damn it! His new weapon is so fast!" Wars shouted. He was forced to perform a series of energy-draining evasion maneuvers, something he never had to do against other Colonian Mobile Suits.
"His shots are unstructured, Wars! He's firing randomly to force you to dodge! Don't retreat, Wars, we have to get into close range!" Aya commanded. She focused the sensors on the White Gundam. "Data shows the white unit has a blind spot during lateral movement. Wars, attack from the side!"
Wars smirked. "Show him the power of Mercury!"
The Romeo Blu Gundam turned sharply, activating the full thrust of its dual engine, darting forward at an alarming speed, intending to land a direct physical punch on the White Gundam.
"Zaki, he's coming! He wants to punch us!" Maki shouted.
Just as the Romeo Blu Gundam's fist shot towards the White Gundam's cockpit, AIRIS reacted. Zaki didn't have time for a full reaction due to the Romeo Blu's speed, but the AI system his father created took over briefly.
CRACK!
The White Gundam's left hand moved quickly, raising its shield and blocking the Romeo Blu Gundam's punch. The impact created a deafening clash of metal, pushing the White Gundam slightly backward.
In the fraction of a second when the two Mobile Suits were locked at point-blank range:
"Maki, Beam Saber! Now!" Zaki yelled.
Maki, with nimble hands, immediately moved the White Gundam's arm to store the Beam Sub Machine Gun in its storage compartment on the Mobile Suit's rear. As soon as the weapon was secured:
ZWWIIIING!
The White Gundam's Beam Saber was deployed from the storage on the right shoulder. Zaki pushed the joystick forward and to the right, stabbing the Romeo Blu Gundam's shoulder with the energy sword.
JLEB!
The green energy blade pierced the Romeo Blu's advanced armor. Although the Colonian Mobile Suit was not completely destroyed, a burnt hole and a small explosion occurred in its shoulder joint area.
Wars Stinger screamed from inside his cockpit. "AARRGGHH! Damn it! The shoulder unit!"
Aya Rose immediately panicked. "Serious damage to the right shoulder joint system, Wars! We must retreat! The Romeo Blu has taken a direct beam attack!"
The enraged Wars pressed the emergency button, triggering a rapid reverse jet. The Romeo Blu Gundam shot backward at high speed, creating distance from the aggressive White Gundam.
"Zaki, he's retreating!" Maki shouted, seeing the blue unit flying away while emitting smoke from its right shoulder.
Wars Stinger, although annoyed, now realized that the White Mobile Suit was far more deadly than he had imagined. He couldn't continue the close-range fight with serious damage to his shoulder.
"This is not over! He won't get away!" Wars shouted. "Aya, stop the retreat! Activate everything we have! All weapons!"
Aya, though hesitant, obeyed the command. "Activating full combat mode! Releasing Micro Missiles from the wings! Locking onto the head Vulcan Cannon!"
The Romeo Blu Gundam suddenly stopped retreating. The two missile pods opened and fired at the White Gundam. At the same time, the Vulcan Cannon on the Romeo Blu's head began firing a barrage of sharp projectiles towards the White Gundam.
Zaki and Maki were shocked. "He's deploying everything!" Maki exclaimed.
The White Gundam was forced to use its shield to block the sudden Vulcan fire and missiles.
"Maki, I'll use the shield for defense, and I'll charge the Sub Machine Gun! We have to disable his weapons!" Zaki commanded.
Wars Stinger saw the White Gundam defending itself behind its shield and smirked. "You won't have time! Mega Beam Launcher, Aya! Now!"
Aya hesitated, but she knew this was the only way to end the White Mobile Suit. "Activating Mega Beam Launcher! Charging preparation 10 seconds!"
On the Romeo Blu Gundam's backpack, the Mega Beam Launcher muzzle began to move. The muzzle rose up, connecting with the sensor on the Mobile Suit's head, and slowly, the cover of the powerful beam line opened, emitting a terrifying blue energy glow that began drawing energy from the entire unit system.
In the secret base, Airi shouted over the communication channel, "Zaki! Maki! That Mobile Suit's energy is dropping drastically! He's diverting all power to the Mega Beam Launcher! You have little time! Target the muzzle!"
"We can't get close to them, Mom! Their Beam Rifles, vulcans, and missiles keep firing at us!" Zaki countered.
Suddenly, from a distance, three large missiles shot out from behind the formation of orange rocks, heading towards the Romeo Blu Gundam.
WHOOOSH!
"Wars! Missiles from old Mobile Suits! Rebels!" Aya yelled.
Wars growled. "Ignore that trash! Focus on the White Mobile Suit! The Launcher must fire!"
The missiles, which were heavy bazookas from Pioneer units piloted by Augustina's subordinates, did not manage to destroy the Romeo Blu, but their explosions successfully diverted Wars's focus.
"A chance, Zaki!" Maki exclaimed. "Go!"
Zaki nodded. He moved the White Gundam to the side, firing the Beam Sub Machine Gun in full-auto mode towards the charging Mega Beam Launcher muzzle.
The high-energy beam rays slammed into the large weapon muzzle on the Romeo Blu's backpack. The energy that had been collected in the weapon immediately exploded.
KABOOOOM!
A small but powerful explosion occurred in the Romeo Blu Gundam's backpack. The Mega Beam Launcher weapon exploded, becoming burnt metallic debris. The Romeo Blu unit was pushed backward by the explosion, its thrusters died, and the Mobile Suit began to fall to the ground with smoke billowing from its back.
Wars Stinger, although his Mobile Suit was crippled, was still alive. "Damn it! The White Mobile Suit... and those Earth trash! I'll remember this!"
Wars Stinger and Aya Rose, using their heavily damaged unit as a crash buffer, immediately activated the secret eject system, exiting their unit before the Mobile Suit crashed into the ground. The Romeo Blu Gundam landed heavily on the rocky field; the Mobile Suit was completely crippled.
Zaki and Maki, although exhausted, cheered quietly.
"We did it!" Maki said, her voice relieved.
Zaki looked at the crippled blue Mobile Suit. "Yes. But we've also just made a much more serious enemy."
From the secret base, Airi's voice rang out, "Zaki, Maki! Return immediately! Augustina, congratulations, your backup maneuver was perfect! The enemy is disabled!"
The White Gundam immediately flew away, leaving the burnt Romeo Blu Gundam as a message to the Colonians that Earth would not succumb to their new threat.
