"Whew… that was something." Alex's voice echoed faintly through the hollow chamber. The remaints of Tarantra, the monstrous spider, turned into dust, like the way it was blown away by a strong wind of his, though not him. The silence that followed felt quieter than before, but still thin and rather alive than Alex being dead jn the first boss fight!!
If the dungeon itself were watching him, meant Alex was easy for another round!! Haaaa...sigh....this Alex is a walking disaster.
A sudden feeling of his body getting cold across his skin, he felt as the system flickered before his eyes.
[Quest Progress: 1/4 Bosses Defeated] [Reward Added: 250 XP | +2 Strength | +1 Agility]
He exhaled slowly. Numbers shifted and went across his system screen, each stat adjusting with the way Alex needed for the next boss, guess it does understands our Alexi, huh!!

Not bad. For a moment, faint light flickered in his eyes, determination, exhaustion, and something sharper behind them. Hope.
Yea he had it now!!
He crouched, picking up the fallen fang beside him. The weapon shimmered faintly with a venomous green sheen, its surface rippling as if breathing.
[Item Acquired: Tarantra's Tooth]
[New Skill Unlocked: Venom Strike Lv. 1]
A faint wind glided through the blade when he gripped it, like the weapon itself recognized its new master. The poisonous air around him had thickened; drops of acid could be seen as they fell from the ceiling, burning small holes in the stone, unlike the author's singing in the bathroom its better.
The corridor ahead stretched long and narrow, lined with poisonously green glowing fungi. The light wasn't comforting. Ofcourse it wasn't !! Its a poison Gate what did you expect!!
Well still it trembled and flickered like dying candles, who added dying candles to here!? I bet its the author!!
There were several insect corpses half-melted into the floor. Every sound he made was too loud, even his boots crunching against gravel felt like someone was behind him, the fearful drip of poison, the low whists that resonated from deeper parts of the dungeon.
Then the system flickered as if it had seen a ghost, unlike me who would've ran away, haha!

Alex's breath caught. He quickly wrapped a strip of cloth over his mouth and nose, the fabric already damp with sweat, ughhh.....
The stench of rot burned his throat. The deeper he walked, the more it felt like stepping through a place of what it was called again!!? Ughhhh...I forgot but lets continue, each breath heavier, and much more like he was near the second boss.
He moved forward. The deeper sections of the dungeon began to glow and glow in dimmer as he approached it, in faint green veils of trees running through the stone, pulsing like his heart was in it. Every pulse of his breathing seemed to be a breath of something he couldn't understand, something that you also don't know, I also don't know.
When the narrow hall opened into a cavern, the ceiling disappeared into nothing but the place where most corpses of humans, or yeilders who were here before, the ones to have found this gate too, though not through the system unlike Alex. Webs covered every surface, woven like a tapestry of silver and black threads. Some still twitched, holding half-eaten creatures inside. The air was cold now, too cold, too still.
At the center hung a massive cocoon, moving gently as if caught in a breeze that didn't existed but still was there. The sound of the heartbeat of Alex groaned, the sounds it made were now clearly reachable through the naked ears, since no sound was there in this place, only pindrop silence, even from inside it.
Alex took one cautious step closer. The cocoon cracked.
A burst of motion, a blur of gold and black dropped from above, landing hard enough to shake the floor. The creature that emerged was smaller than Tarantra but faster, its carapace glowing softly, like liquid metal, I wonder what Element was this Liquid Metal, since I took Chemistry, I should know but I don't remember.
Anyways, its eight sharp legs streched against the wall , each movement producing a metallic screech, Wow seems like Alex met his match.
[Boss Detected: Tarantz —The Venom Weaver]
[Level: 30 | Speed Type]
The first strike came instantly. A flash of sting. Blood traced a thin red line down Alex's left leg, before he even realized the boss had moved.
OMG I just remember that last time Alex got his whole body cut in half, right!! Ugh...im afraid that won't happen now.
He gritted his teeth. The dagger swathed with green light as Venom Strike activated across it, energy coiling around the blade like beyblades.
The chamber exploded into motion. Tarantz darted from wall to wall, faster than sight, leaving behind streaks of venom that hissed as they touched the floor. Each attack was meant to kill, and not play a child's play it was to even dodge the attacks. The dungeon didn't forgive mistakes, or rather he had plot armor just as the author knows he can't kill his main character.
Alex rolled aside, letting the spider's claw tear through the space of attack where he had been a second ago. He countered, slicing low, and sparks burst where dagger met its spider armor, almost as strong as diamond.
The air was filled with posions, slash, step back, step forwards, breath. His body moved on instinct now. The training, the battles, the failures that led him here, all compressed into this single motion of what he had never been able to achieve.
A thread shot toward him. He cut it midair, but three more replaced it. Poison dripped from above, corroding stone. Tarantz screeched, its mandibles snapping open to release a cloud of venom mist, as if he can kill my Lovely Dovey Alex!! Haha.
Alex charged straight into and through it.
His eyes burned, lungs screaming, but he didn't stop. He slid under the spider's leg, driving his dagger upward with all the momentum his body could muster. The blade pierced one of its eyes; green liquid splattered like acid, sizzling against his skin.
The spider convulsed, thrashing violently. Webs stretched across the cavern, forming a cage of glowing lines. Every movement became a blur, Alex climbing, dodging, spinning through a storm of threads, I dont know whats more funny, Moms threads or this Spider's, though I do know whats more dangerous.
And then, yeah it happened just as expected, one clean strike and finish.
He leapt from a falling web, twisting mid-air, and buried the dagger deep into the monster's head. A sharp crack echoed. The spider shuddered once, twice, then collapsed, its body fading into dark mist that was quickly consumed by the dungeon's light.
Silence. And me eating chips as I am writing and enjoying this scenes.
Only Alex's breathing remained, ragged and heavy. The system tone returned, steady and calm once again.

The webs disintegrated into dust. The fog thinned, leaving behind small streaks of light leading toward another tunnel on the far side of the dungeon. The stones beneath his boots glowed much more like purple, as if Alex didn't knew where he was going and this thing leading him. Stupid Author!!
Who you calling stupid!?
None. Focus.
He stood still for a moment, letting the venom burn fade from his lungs. His hand trembled as he looked at the blade, still pulsing with that fast-paced heartbeat of its own, he was still not believing that he really was surviving, but he was though!!
Two down.
Two left.
I don't know whats gonna happen though, only the author knows isn't it!?
Yes, I know!!
The sound of poison dripping down resumed somewhere much deeper ahead, though faint but still was making sounds. The dungeon wasn't done yet. It was on Alex's life again. Waiting for him, maybe two! Who knows!?
Alex adjusted his grip on the dagger and stepped into the next corridor, the purple light swallowing him whole as the chamber behind went silent once more. Well what awaits now!? Lets see.
To be continued…
