"All the nightmares in your heart are what are coming true," Renu said as she was leaving.
Ren frowned at Renu walking away. What does that mean? That could mean a lot of things that he didn't want to accept were true.
She knew what had happened at the tunnel, and also somehow guessed that he would come to Big Daddy to delete the game.
It was after she was gone entirely that he stood up, adjusting his roughened and loosened collar. She was strong; he couldn't in any scenario go one-on-one against her. It was better just to shoot her at a distance when he was behind her.
He took several deep breaths, prepping his mind and body for another weird adventure he would have to take; at least it was no longer in the house.
Should he go out to meet her? With the heavy rain closing down roads, if he wanted to know what had occurred within the tunnel, he needed to talk to Renu. However, unlike the versions of his parents that were restricted to the house, he was dealing with someone who could walk around the city during the daytime.
Pope came into the area holding and stroking her cat.
"I will be leaving. I want to express my gratitude once again for today. I owe you a huge favor." He said he really did appreciate her for making this day easy.
"I know that, but more importantly, what are you doing that is making you this tense?" She asks.
He shrugged.
They stared at each other for a dead silent minute.
She broke the silence, "Ren, what happened?"
He smiled. "Nothing much, just busy with something."
She smiled back. "You are lying."
He laughed and shrugged.
He stopped and put on a serious face. "I still want to say thank you for letting me delete the game."
She shrugged, and her cat hissed at him.
He nodded and said goodbye to her before walking away.
Leaving Big Daddy, he went to a bus stop and studied various routes on the city map.
This city, Curly, is a special city with twenty districts. The primary thing to note is that the East District is where affluent residents reside, and everything has been designed to cater to their needs. You're going to enjoy a life above the average, but the Shade City District, where Ren lives, is the complete opposite: dense apartment buildings narrow the space and make it hard even to breathe correctly. He would soon leave once he had sorted things out, hopefully with a good income for the East District; that was the dream.
But that would have to come later, as Ren's focus shifted to the cluttered bus stops, and weird ideas were crawling out of his mind, dangerous ones.
A dog head slasher case
A conjured twins rapist case
A cannibal five-star chef case
A pregnancy fetish culprit case
A pedophilic pastor
High IQ zombies
Ren was starting to realize something. Renu said that all the nightmares in his heart had become real, so it wasn't just a game. Everything possible horror scenario could come upon this city.
He felt like a nuclear bomb that, through any mistake, could bring the apocalypse. This was worse than his guess; he needed to find Renu quickly.
That damn unknown world where the versions of his parents came from could somehow evolve the horrors in his head and project them into the city.
