The clandestine rays of the sun fell over the roof, and some beams reflected on the face of a boy, or young man to be precise, who was on the balcony.
"Mei Yi, it's time," the young man said as he examined the items inside his storage rings to make sure there wasn't any essential items missing.
It was Feng Wuji. He looked taller, more refined, and his face had become even more otherworldly.
Three years had passed since the leaders of the various forces had stormed into Feng Wuji's banquet and forced the Celestial Lotus Sect to open the Verdant Crystal Realm to the public. It was a day that was not so memorable, as it had sparked his father's desire for Feng Wuji to cultivate diligently.
Since that day, Feng Lang had made sure Feng Wuji trained up to 17 hours every day, making him barely have enough time to sleep, eat, and socialize with the other members of the sect. He barely had time to develop his own faction, and he only had a few members in it who were the children of elders.
"Young Master, you've checked your rings yesterday three times, and everything was complete," Mei Yi said as she approached, her pink hair flying in the wind.
"Well, I just wanted to make sure I didn't leave anything behind."
"Okay, Young Master, hehe," she chuckled as she found it funny to watch him going through it, since he had gone through it multiple times since the previous week.
"Young Master, are you sure you want to go into this realm?" she suddenly asked out of the blue.
"Yes, Yi'er, you've asked me this question a million times already," Feng Wuji almost rolled his eyes at this point.
For the past few weeks, Mei Yi had been having a bad feeling and tried to convince Feng Wuji not to go into the Verdant Crystal Realm. However, he had to. Countless seers had predicted great fortune in the realm, and that any member of the younger generation who didn't get part of this fortune might lag in the coming future.
Feng Wuji and his dad knew that there was great danger targeting him in the realm. However, he had to explore it because of his future. And the greatest danger in the realm was not the monsters or traps; the greatest danger were the enemies he had from his sect and other sects who might try to kill him in the realm.
"I just have a bad feeling, Young Master."
"Don't worry, Mei Yi. I have broken through to the Qi Vortex Realm, and with my Abyss of Celestial Chaos technique, I'll at least be able to stand my own ground."
"Yes, Young Master," she sighed, knowing she couldn't persuade him to change his mind.
"Let's get going then," he said after completing his inspection.
Then he raised his right hand up and gathered some qi to form a symbol that became a sword. He then stepped on it and flew into the distance.
Mei Yi quickly flew behind him. She didn't use a sword, as she had passed the Elemental Vein Realm, which allowed her to be able to fly without using a flying object.
Groups of people had gathered on the Dao Myriad Plaza of the Celestial Lotus Sect. The plaza was a floating sphere that housed several portals to the various realms of the sect.
The elders of the Celestial Lotus Sect and other sects stood towards the east of the plaza on a high platform, and the air around them felt still.
To the north, however, were the various young talents and geniuses of the various sects assembled. Some seemed to stand out in the gathering.
One of them was a devastatingly beautiful maiden who had a charm that was difficult to ignore.
She had black hair and grey eyes. It was Tian Zhaobai, Feng Wuji's fiancee, who was cultivating the Siren Beguiling Heavenly Technique that amplified her charm to untold levels. As one of the top beauties of the younger generation, she easily stood out.
"Wow, she's actually so pretty."
"Yeah,I thought the rumors were false; she looks divine."
"That bastard Feng Wuji has such luck,to be the Young Master of the Celestial Lotus Sect and have such a beautiful fiancee."
A young man who had been staring at her for a while had an arrogant expression and was also good-looking.he walked towards her.
"Divine Maiden Tian Zhaobai," he greeted.
"Young Master Long Zhuangwu," she replied courteously.
"Why not stick with me during the trial in the realm?"
"Surely you jest, Young Master Long."Tian zhaobai seemed stunned did this guy have mental problem??
"No, I'm serious. I insist." He said looking haughty and arrogant as usual.
Tian zhaobai face became cold and filled with disdain "Then I'll have to decline your invitation."
"Oh, why? Because you're engaged? Don't worry, we won't be doing anything wrong, and I'm sure Feng Wuji isn't so petty to get angry at the thought of his fiancee hanging out with someone else."
However, Tian Zhaobai simply ignored him and didn't say anything else. Long Zhuangwu cheeks turned pink as they flushed with embarrassment.
"Is he trying to provoke Feng Wuji?"
"He's so stupid.I'm glad Maiden Tian didn't respond to him, hahaha."
Long Zhuangwu's eyes darkened. Damn you, Feng Wuji. When I get my hands on you... he thought internally.
Male members of the long clan always have the urge to dominate and they had a little bit of mental issues and now Feng wuji without even being there was capable for overlapping his own will.
He felt foolish. Normally he'd never lose his composure for a woman as a prodigy and the son of Long Pingwen, he would stand out.
But now he'd ruined his reputation for chasing after someone's wife who didn't even respond. He just walked away and decided to stay with his fellow sect mates at one corner.

The disciples compared the attitude of Long Zhuangwu and Xiang Peihuo. Xiang Peihuo was the son of Xiang Wuyin. Like his dad, he had tanned skin and bulging muscles. He was on the platform, sitting cross-legged on the ground meditating, and around him were his sect mates.
"I heard Xiang Peihuo awakened the Colossal Dharma Psyche Spirit."
"Isn't that the third-ranking foundation spirit on the Colossal Spirit rankings?"
"Wow,to think he's so talented."
Other prodigies and heavenly beauties also stood out from the crowd. Among them were:

From the platform where the elders were, a voice suddenly boomed.

Instantly, the chatter and gossip died down, and everyone turned to look at the platform.
At the center of the platform was Elder Rong of the Celestial Lotus Sect.
"You all are about to enter the Verdant Crystal Realm. You all have been given a token which can tear a gap in the void and bring you out in case of emergencies. However, I'd advise you to not use it; rather, stay away from troubles and harvest gains from the realm. You all know your various sects have paid a huge sum for you to be able to enter this realm. Don't waste their efforts, and don't die!! Now, all of you, march in!"
A whirr sounded from the platform, and a purple mass of air appeared. It swirled and swirled till it turned into a portal.
Feng Wuji took the first step and went in. Xiang Peihuo followed next. All the disciples entered the portal, excited for this new opportunity. Among them was a boy with dark hair and eyes that looked sinister. He had very pale skin, and his eyes seemed to be filled with killing intent.
