"Fufufu...!!"
Doflamingo's maniacal laughter echoed in the blizzard, his face contorted in a grimace. His pink feather coat was soaked in blood, but it didn't hide the insane glint in his eyes.
He suddenly spread his arms, and the ground surged, transforming into a churning, white sea of string. His Awakened power instantly consumed the battlefield!
"ROY!!"
His roar was like a volcanic eruption, Conqueror's Haki exploding in black-and-red lightning that tore the night sky.
"You think... I would lose to someone like you?!"
Doflamingo's eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his forehead.
Roy watched him, his expression calm, a slight curl of disdain on his lip. "Conqueror's Haki?"
The next second—
"BOOM!!!"
A Conqueror's Haki far more ferocious than Doflamingo's erupted from Roy, a black-and-red storm that instantly crushed and devoured Doflamingo's domain! The force tore through the clouds, revealing the black night sky.
Doflamingo's pupils shrank. His face was pale. His knees buckled. "You're kidding me... How is this possible..."
But before fear could consume him, he brought his hands together and roared: "Thousand Arrows Piercing Heart: String Barrage!"
The ground erupted as countless strings, wreathed in Haki, shot up like spears, threatening to drown Roy in a white sea of death!
Roy's eyes went cold. He drew back his right arm, and Armament Haki coiled around his fist like black flame, turning it into a force of destruction!
"Fist Bone: Meteorite!"
"BAM!!!"
The strings disintegrated into dust the moment they touched the shockwave of the punch.
Doflamingo was blasted away like a broken doll, crashing through three buildings. He coughed up a huge mouthful of blood before stopping.
"Shigan: Dark Spot!"
A piercing sound ripped through the air!
Vergo shot out of the shadows, coated head-to-toe in black Haki, aiming his finger straight at Roy's back!
"Death wish."
Roy barely glanced back, unleashing a lightning-fast 'Fist Bone' from his left hand!
"CLANG!!"
Vergo's full-body Haki clashed with Roy's fist with a metallic sound.
"It's useless!" Vergo sneered, confidence flashing in his eyes. "My Armament Haki is—"
CRACK!!
The sound of shattering glass made Vergo's eyes widen in disbelief! His supposedly impenetrable Haki was cracking!
"What?!"
"BAM!!"
The full force of the punch smashed into Vergo's chest. His ribcage caved in, and a torrent of blood and shattered bone erupted from his mouth.
Vergo was sent flying, crashing deep into the ruins.
Just then—
"Eight Godly Impact Strike: String Punishment!!"
Doflamingo's roar echoed across the snowy field. Eight massive strings, wreathed in Haki, shot up like spears of judgment, tearing through the snow!
Roy finally turned, his eyes icy. "You two are really pushing your luck."
Spatial ripples formed in his palm—
"FWOOSH!!!"
The eight strings vanished, reappearing an instant later, directly over the spot where the dying Vergo lay!
"Doffy... save..."
Vergo saw the flashes of destruction above him, but it was too late.
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
The strings completely consumed him. Blood and pulverized bone sprayed across the snow, Vergo's cries swallowed by the thunderous impact.
"Ver... go...?"
Doflamingo stood frozen, his sunglasses gone, his eyes bloodshot. Vergo, his top officer, his family... was dead?
"ROY!!!"
Roy walked slowly toward the broken Doflamingo, his coat snapping in the wind, his fist coiling with Haki. "It ends here, little flamingo."
Doflamingo looked up, his eyes bloodshot, his rage overwhelming, but his will to fight was gone. His body trembled.
"Young Master!!"
Trebol, Pica, and Diamante—the remaining top officers—finally arrived.
They froze, their faces turning white as they took in the scene.
—Vergo's remains were scattered across the ruins.
—And Roy was standing, one hand pressing Doflamingo's head into the broken pavement, his Haki-coated fist raised.
"Rear Admiral! Have mercy!!" Trebol wailed, snot and tears mixing on his face.
Roy glanced at him, his eyes dismissive. "Do pirates think they're in a position to negotiate?"
Trebol dropped to his knees. "We... we'll pay any price! Just let the Young Master live, and we'll give you anything!"
"Treasure? Wealth?" Roy sneered. "What do you have that's worth letting him live?"
Diamante quickly added, "Rear Admiral, we just acquired a Logia-type Devil Fruit... we will trade it for his life!"
Doflamingo's eyes, still pinned to the ground, contracted sharply. He tried to speak, but the pressure of Roy's hand was too great.
Roy raised an eyebrow. "A Logia?"
He looked at the kneeling officers, then down at Doflamingo. "The mission is complete. Getting Logia fruits for Ace and the others would be useful for the future, and letting Doflamingo live won't affect the bigger picture. Dressrosa can wait."
"Fine. Trade all your Devil Fruits and intelligence for Doflamingo's life, including that Logia. One week. Deliver it to the designated location."
"Don't try to cross me. I will find you."
Trebol groveled. "Yes! We'll prepare it immediately!"
Roy slowly released his grip. Doflamingo stumbled up, his face a mask of rage and humiliation. He stayed silent.
"Get out." Roy's voice was ice. "Don't let there be a next time, little flamingo."
The Donquixote Family officers scrambled to support Doflamingo, retreating in shame.
Doflamingo looked back at Roy, his eyes the eyes of a venomous snake. He would never forget this humiliation.
Roy watched them go, then turned to the lighthouse where Law and Rosinante were hidden.
"Hoo..."
A fine shimmer of light particles gathered beside him, coalescing into a familiar, lazy figure—Kizaru.
"My, my, my... Rear Admiral Roy. Trading with them, were we?" Kizaru drawled, his eyes narrowed, his hands in his pockets. He had been watching the entire time.
"But I think I know who that Logia is for..." Kizaru smiled. "Ara rara, well, the mission is complete. Let's head back."
Roy nodded, his eyes deep. He turned and walked into the snow.
—Mission complete. Time to go home.
