parked outside the café.
"Young Master, what would you like to drink?"
The assistant waited for a long time without receiving a response from the other person, so he turned to take a look, only to find Lenn Pei staring off into the distance, lost in thought.
"Are you looking for Miss Grant?" he asked.
Lennox shook his head. "No, I'll wait for her to come out."
Once Ryan's excitement about seeing Ella Grant calmed down, he noticed the change in her.
"Ella, you're different now," he said.
Sean Anderson chimed in, "Right? I told you, Ella is amazing now. She plays games and even makes money!"
Ryan shook his head. "That's not what I meant. I'm talking about your personality. Ella, you've become so much stronger. I'm really glad to see that."
"Thank you," Ella replied, feeling polite but distant. She had never truly liked this man and couldn't empathize with him, so all she could do was maintain her courtesy.
Inside Ryan's heart, however, a flicker of hope began to rise. Ella seemed like a different person, and maybe that meant he had a chance.
Just because she didn't like him before didn't mean she wouldn't in the future.
With that thought, Ryan suddenly felt energized. But he also knew he had to be careful; he couldn't rush things. So, he kept their conversation brief, suppressing his feelings, and said goodbye to Ella Grant.
After parting ways with Sean Anderson, Ella Grant took a moment to survey her surroundings, her gaze locking onto Lenn Pei's car.
Her assistant was busy greeting guests.
"Miss Grant."
Ella Grant smoothly got into the car.
"Nice to see you again," Lenn Pei said, breaking the silence.
"You've been waiting for me long?" Elle asked, recalling the subtle feeling of being watched since she had sat down in the café. It had been at least two hours now. Compared to Ryan's slightly noisy small talk, she was more intrigued to guess who had been observing her from the shadows.
"Not too long. I had some time to kill," he replied casually.
"Oh? The busy Mr. Lenn has time to spare?" Ella asked, her curiosity piqued.
Lenn let out a wry smile. "Not really busy with anything important. Just dealing with various social events, and when I get home, there's a pile of things waiting for me. It's exhausting, both mentally and physically. It's rare to find a moment of peace like this."
Seeing the weariness etched on his face, Ella believed about eighty percent of what he said.
"You should have called me out sooner," she said, slightly turning her body and reaching out to press her fingers gently on his furrowed brow. To her surprise, he didn't flinch or pull away.
It was strange; those small hands seemed to possess some kind of magic. After just a gentle massage, Lenn Pei felt his mind clear significantly.
