"With attacks at your level, you can't beat the second-ranked Lord Beast King! You'll be torn to shreds! Fools!"
Saitama walked up in his trademark yellow-and-red suit and pointed to the half of Beast King lying nearby. "You mean that?"
The gorilla went silent, then immediately switched to a fawning face.
"I'm sorry! I was wrong! I'll talk! I'll talk! Please don't kill me! I just—well, the mood was right, so I felt like I had to put on a bit—"
Lin Mo's mouth twitched. At least he was honest.

House of Evolution HQ.
"Impossible! The unit meant to wipe out the old humanity—wiped out…" Dr. Genus, in a suit, stared at the screen in disbelief.
"According to Armored Gorilla, the three—KING and the others—are on their way," a clone in white reported.
"If they get here, everything we've built could be destroyed. Damn it—forcing me to use the trump card…"
"At this point, no choice… Prepare to release 'Ashura Kabuto'!"
The name hit like a bomb in the control room.
Every clone blanched, fear flooding their faces.
"No, Doctor!" one yelled. "We absolutely can't let that thing out! He's a total monster!"
"Right! His mental state is extremely unstable. If he loses control, he'll level us too!"
"But who else can oppose someone at KING's level?"
"Enough!" Genus cut the bickering. "It's a last resort. First, set countless traps on Levels 1–8 aboveground. The rest… we'll see…"
Lin Mo's group reached the outskirts of City Z. Armored Gorilla, terrified of being one-punched to paste, blurted everything without interrogation.
Lin Mo clutched his chest, panting.
To keep up with Saitama and Genos's inhuman speed, he'd nearly died.
Good thing he'd pushed Strength, Speed, and Constitution to 50—or he'd have dropped dead on the road.
"We're here. Coordinates Armored Gorilla gave for the House of Evolution," Saitama said, looking at the eight-story building ahead.
Genos said little. He threw his hands behind, the Incineration core blazed bright, and he thrust forward.
"Incineration Cannon!"
In an instant, a tide of flame swallowed the entire building. Air warped and shrieked.
When the blaze faded, the structure had vanished, leaving a giant crater and a sea of rubble.
"Hey… what are you doing." Saitama stared, stunned that Genos had reduced their HQ to slag in one move.
He'd wanted to clear it level by level, like in the game KING gave him, and face the boss at the end.
He couldn't reach the final boss in the game (actually, he got stuck in the early stages). But in reality?
"I believed this was the best way to wipe them out," Genos answered earnestly, expression as serious as ever.
As Saitama sulked over his ruined "game experience," Lin Mo's eye caught an anomaly in the wreckage.
He walked to a metal door whose upper structure had been blown away. "Hey, it's not over. There's a passage here."
He gripped the handle and used all his strength to haul it open—an absurdly heavy special-alloy door.
Why is a junk door this heavy? Lin Mo rubbed his sore arms and jumped down after the others.

Underground, a massacre was underway. Blood scent choked the halls.
A colossal creature—two stories tall—was venting fury.
It looked like a rhinoceros beetle magnified countless times, brown armor-plates covering its body, corded muscles bristling with explosive power.
The House of Evolution's ultimate weapon—Ashura Kabuto.
He swatted a clone to bits and sneered at the limping Genus.
"Bastard. I'm the House of Evolution's strongest, and you locked me up." His words sounded angry, but his tone was careless.
"No choice. Your mind is unstable; we had to contain you."
Genus scowled. He considered Ashura Kabuto a failure—great power and intellect, zero morality.
"Kill me, fine. I have clones." He brought up a projection showing the trio. "Don't you want to fight? Those two are formidable…"

"Whoa, spacious down here," Saitama said, interest rekindled. "Exciting. Feels like a maze."
Lin Mo deliberately hung back, letting Saitama and Genos lead.
No joke—Ashura Kabuto was mid-Dragon at least.
He'd be safer in the rear—less chance of getting brushed into paste.
Boom-boom-boom—
Heavy footfalls thundered down the corridor. Before they could react, a massive brown figure appeared as if teleporting!
Ashura Kabuto. In his right hand—bloodied Dr. Genus.
"Bang—!"
Genos didn't react in time and was pounded into a wall.
"Hoo…" Lin Mo's heart skipped, cold sweat breaking out. "Good… good thing I stood back."
After one-shotting Genos, Ashura Kabuto flung Genus aside and grinned savagely. "Name's Ashura Kabuto. Outside's too cramped."
"There's a lab for fighting. Let's go there."
"Turning Genos into modern art… Fine. I've got an itch too." Saitama's face turned a touch serious.
