Rafael's POV
"Doctor Rafael Kingston?"
One of the men called out from behind just as I helped Tobias sit down on a chair.
I turned around.
Just as I'd expected, the four stocky men were walking straight toward me.
I stood tall, staring coldly at the man in front who had called my name without saying a word. My raised brow was enough to tell him to stop wasting time and get to the point.
"We're here to rescue you and your team. Please come with us."
He spoke sternly, as if the polite please was nothing more than an order that couldn't be refused.
"Whose orders?"
He didn't answer right away. Instead, both brows lifted slightly, as though my question had caught him off guard.
"Who else? Of course, Mr. Dimitri Island."
Lie.
"What's the plan?" I kept asking.
"We'll travel by land to the airbase three miles from here, then take a jet."
I gave him a faint smile.
"The nearest airbase is under enemy control and nowhere near the military base. Did you bribe the terrorists?"
