Chapter 130 - First Encounter with Shrek

Inside a restaurant in Soto City, Douluo Continent—

Night had already fallen. The dining hall was lively, every table filled with customers chatting, drinking, and enjoying dinner.

In a quiet corner, a boy and a girl sat together.

The boy looked fourteen or fifteen, dressed in a luxurious black robe. A unique badge with two silver lines gleamed on his chest. His black hair draped over his shoulders, his skin was fair, and his face strikingly handsome. At the moment, he held a cup of tea, listening intently to the girl beside him.

The girl looked about two years younger. Her long black hair spilled over her shoulders, her skin as smooth as polished jade. Her figure was astonishingly full and shapely for her age. Her expression, however, carried a faint chill—those deep black eyes were void of warmth, contradicting the natural beauty of her features. Though she exuded an icy, deathlike aura that made others uneasy, she conversed with the boy normally. And while she rarely smiled, the few she showed were genuine and unforced.

These two were Xiao Se and Zhu Zhuqing—who had "met" earlier atop the mountain outside Soto City.

"So, you were suddenly transported into a dark space right here in Soto City, stayed there for a long time, and only came out when you met me?"

Xiao Se took a sip of tea, pretending to be shocked.

"Mm." Zhu Zhuqing replied in her usual succinct manner.

Putting on a serious face, Xiao Se continued his nonsense. "It sounds like you were hit by an extremely powerful space-transfer technique. Something of that level isn't something an ordinary person can use. In my world, even a Dou Huang risks backlash when using such techniques. Of course, your world doesn't use Dou Qi—you might have soul skills here. Maybe someone absorbed a rare space-type spirit beast and unlocked a powerful ability."

"Can you tell me more about your world?"

Upon hearing the term Dou Huang, Zhu Zhuqing's interest grew. From Xiao Se's previous explanations, she'd sensed his world was far stronger than the Douluo Continent. A Titled Douluo—the peak of Douluo—was equivalent to only a Dou Huang there. And unlike this world, they could train without spirit rings, and possessed a vast range of powerful skills and cultivation methods.

"Of course." Xiao Se smiled and was just about to begin when a noisy commotion erupted at the front counter.

Turning his head, he saw a group of six—four boys and two girls.

Leading them were two large, round-bodied youths.

The first looked around fifteen or sixteen, towering at nearly 1.8 meters with golden hair falling loosely behind him. He had double pupils and a straight nose—features that would typically define a handsome man.

But… the thick layer of fat ruined everything. His skin was oily, and he was so overweight that even speaking made his voice come out nasal and breathless.

The second fat youth wasn't much better—slightly younger, with a fiery red Mohawk-like explosion of hair. His beady little eyes darted around the restaurant, especially lingering on the sensitive parts of young women. Every time he spotted something, his eyes sparkled obscenely.

Behind them stood a plain-looking black-haired boy and another with silver short hair and flirtatious peach blossom eyes.

The silver-haired boy seemed terrified of the golden-haired one, not daring to get close or even meet his gaze. Whenever his eyes accidentally drifted over, his face would instantly go pale—as if recalling some dreadful memory—bloodshot veins creeping into his eyes as cold sweat poured down.

At the very back were two lovely girls, both around Zhu Zhuqing's age—each beautiful in her own distinct way.

The first had a gentle, elegant appearance. She wore a tea-green dress that fell below her knees. Her long hair cascaded down her waist like a waterfall. Her tender skin glowed like shelled lychee. Her face was exquisite, her elegance natural, giving an impression of warmth—like a well-educated noble lady whose every smile charmed everyone around her.

But anyone who knew her would understand that beneath that spring-breeze exterior was the playful heart of a mischievous little witch.

The second girl leaned more toward the cute type. A pair of bunny-ear hair accessories sat atop her head, and her long, glossy hair was tied into a neat scorpion braid reaching her calves. She wore a pink top that hugged her budding figure, and her long legs were stunning—on par with Xiao Yu's.

These six were none other than the only enrolled students of Shrek Academy—

Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, Tang San, Oscar, Ning Rongrong, and Xiao Wu.

Seeing the four boys and two girls, Xiao Se felt a powerful sense of déjà vu.

Especially the bunny girl—her thick rabbit-like aura was impossible to hide from someone with the soul sensitivity of a fifth-tier alchemist.

"No way… Don't tell me it's really them?"

The thought flashed quickly across his mind.

He glanced at Zhu Zhuqing and noticed her expression had grown even colder. Her body trembled slightly.

"Looks like you know someone over there."

Xiao Se smiled softly and whispered.

Zhu Zhuqing first nodded… then shook her head.

"No. I have nothing to do with him anymore."

While the two spoke, the argument at the counter escalated.

"Hell no! Are you kidding me!? I brought friends here today. Fine, no private room—but now you're telling me there's not even a table? Are you afraid I can't pay?"

Dai Mubai roared at the staff member.

"S-Second Young Master Dai, please calm down. As you can see, we're completely full. Could you maybe wait a bit?"

The staff member was clearly terrified—after all, he was a normal civilian. He couldn't afford to offend a soul master.

"Mubai, maybe we should just leave. We can find another restaurant."

Tang San scanned the area; every seat was taken. He gently tried to persuade Dai Mubai.

"No, Little San, we can't let this slide."

Dai Mubai shook his head stubbornly.

"We fought, got to know each other the day before yesterday, and yesterday you passed Shrek's entrance exam. Today I promised to treat you all to celebrate. The food here is exceptional—I wouldn't have brought you otherwise. Today, no matter what, they're giving us a table."

Dai Mubai had long grown accustomed to rampant, indulgent behavior in Soto City. There was no way he would back down so easily.

Tang San sighed helplessly. "Fine… but be quick. We have only an hour before we must gather at the Great Spirit Arena."
