"Are you mad?" Was the first thing out of Caius Volturi as he marched into the room pulling a reluctant Bella along with him who relaxed as soon she saw her sister. "You haven't used our brother bond since Didyme..." He paused. Looked between Marcus and Jade, "Ah so you met your soul."
Marcus had explained that Caius and him shared a brother bond that had not died when Didyme did, they could send each other thoughts in great need.
Marcus strode toward Jade's doors and barricaded them. "We don't have long before Aro begins to suspect. We are leaving this world for another brother and would like you and Isabella to join us."
"You would leave everything you've built."
Jade carefully pulled away Bella from Caius's side fearing his reaction to the next unveiling. Quickly she told her sister what was happening.
"So you are not Jade." Bella stepped back.
"No I am. I merely lived another life before I was your Jade. We don't share blood. We aren't really twins, but I would never deny you are still my sister and Charlie my dad."
Bella sat down on Jade's four posted bed just as Caius began throwing things on the other side of the room as Marcus shared Aro's betrayal.
"Was everything a lie?"
Jade sighed and sat beside her sister in all but blood, glad she didn't move away.
"I became your Jade the day you arrived in Seattle to stay with Dad. The memories you had of me before then were fabricated but nothing after ever was."
"Have you ever used your powers on me?"
"Never. Except for the potions I asked you to take that kept you from staying dead if something happened to you." Jade shook her head. "The power that allows me to travel to different universes is not mine."
Bella bit her lip, as she wrung her hands out. She stayed like that for several minutes, "I always felt like I was out of the loop of this world." She sighed before perking up, "Could you make me like you?"
"You can pick one of the categories: Fairy, Spellcaster, Alien or Mermaid. Werewolf is an option but I don't want to test the boys over there, plus it's the less cool of all the choices."
"Which one involves the most reading?"
"Of course my sister the bookworm." Jade laughed, "The spellcaster. I have all the books and ingredients you'll need."
"Ok! How do we do this?"
"Just like that?"
"Just like that." Bella smirked back at Jade.
Jade poked Bella's forehead with her index finger, Bella shivered as she felt a wash of power run through her veins.
Her brow furrowing as she saw the game-like interface she had access to now. "What's the household for?"
"Nice! It would seem each ot my bonds romantic or platonic have their own interface. Access not limited to a household, so say if Dad hadn't settled down you could add him to your household to come with us."
Caius and Marcus approached, "Caius has picked Spellcaster as well."
Shouts came from the other side of the door.
"Let's do this quick." Pointing to Caius she whispered 'Spellcaster' in Simlish before turning to Marcus and going on her tiptoes to whisper 'Fairy' as she kissed his forehead.
The wood of the bedroom's cracked.
"Everyone hold on to each other!"
And with a pop they were gone. Never to come back to the Twilight Universe again.
