THE PAST .
From sith to jedi alike, across the galactic republic, each and every force sensitive could feel the turbulent ripples through the force. Malice, anger, pure unadulterated hatred few could ever hope to send into the depths of the force, exploded from the outer rim territories with the explosive force of a nuclear strike. The rippling hatred struck even many Sith like a concussive blast, sending many sprawling as it struck them, attempted to drive their very minds to the brink of insanity before they could get a hold of themselves.
Aboard a Harrower class dreadnaught, Darth Mortis, who turned to stare into the bleak canopy of stars that seemed a little dimmer after the explosive entrance into the force, was forced to answer a holo call he suspected might have been coming shortly.
" And what, pray tell caused you to disturb my rest" Mortis, dark council member maintaining the sphere of laws and justice, rarely had people personally reach out to him in states of emergency.
" Forgive me milord, there's been a situation within a slave settlement on Ziost that calls for your attention" Now that gave Mortis, if he was correct, that should be just about around where the sweeping shock that swept through the galaxy originated from.
' The slave pens ... most ... interesting' His lip twitched before ending the holo call, sweeping around and marching up to the flight operations manager " Chart a course for Ziost ... immediately"
...
Burning flames swept across huts belonging to the less fortunate. Smoke billowed into the air whilst bodies littered the grounds as far as eyes could see.
" You ... you little monster" A human female on no older than thirty, face scarred by years of slavery, hissed at the abomination that stood over her prone form." Scourge of my life."
The sith overseers that had brutalised her for decades, Lay mauled amidst the bodies of the slaves they terrorised.
Everyone had been rendered equal in the face of ansolute terror. A terror impregnating the world... from the young man who stood over her even as droplets of rain began to la d apon the hissing fires.
Behind this nude teenager, not four paces behind they the emaciated corpse of his stepfather. The man allowed to abuse him from the earliest days, was now little more than a mummified husk embedded in mudded ground.
She hated this boy, ever since that ghastly man had forced himself apon her fifteen years ago, resulting in this ... spawn. She hated him, despised his very existence since his first cry into the world. Yet no matter how much she let him starve for days on end, no matter how much she tried to smother it, it close to life ... like some demon refusing to be snuffed out.
The longer it wasn't fed, the weaker she and everyone around its cursed crib became, and so they were forced to give it sustenance lest they all be used as fuel for its fire.
Everytime, from the age of a babe to the dawdling steps of early childhood, every time someone tried to rid their camp of this demon, it would return. Stabbed in an alley and left to bleed, his attacker vanished before even stepping away and the boy would continue on without any damages. Smothered in his sleep or strangled until his drew his final breath, his breathing would return before long and he would wake as if nothing occurred.
Even leaving the child in the wilds of ziost amidst beasts, the beast hid away or outright lead him back to camp.
Nothing they ever did could rid them of this terrifying creature, as it clung to its mother ... until this moment, after his mother, in a moment of mental instability, attacked her teenage child in one final gambit of ridden herself of his silent terror.
" Did you ever once love me ... mother?" He hadn't ever hurt anyone, he had loved and he had loved hard. He was an obedient boy with nothing but the utmost trust and belief in his mother. Until she had revealed it was her behind every single attempt on his life, until she personally tried to attack and murder him with his stepfather, no longer trying in his sleep but openly and with the help of other villagers.
Untold amounts of love, the love he had felt for the woman he had yet spared, turned into a boiling cesspool of pure unadulterated hatred that bled from his body in a craze educing haze.
" LOVE ... YOU HAHAHAHAHHAAAAA" She doubled over, perhaps the only victory she could ever attain against such a smear on her life, being destroying his already fragile mental space" Who ... could ever love such a feckless, disgusting creature like you. Not me, not even your father dared stay in the life of someone as disgusting as you"
" I...." The one to eventually become kallig, looked apon his mother one last time, crystal blue committing her dirt marred features to memory, etching the loom of hatred and anger on her face into the deepest parts of his conscience " Thank you mother "
For the first time, with intent and desire, the boy to become kallig reached out to his mother's face.
" I hope you suffer the pain you caused me"
...
Mortis arrived at the end of the chaos and saw a nude boy whose very presence caused visible distortions in the force around him.
He walked quietly up to the boy bent over and placed a gentle kiss to his mother's forehead, tears streaming down their faces as red streams began to peel from her body.
Streams of life, streams of her very life-force before to be syphoned from her body by her son. Her cheeks became sunken and taunt, her eyes became shallow and shadowed. Her hair fell out in clumps, aging visibly and quickly under her sons touch, more and more was drained until she little more than a bag of sagging bones that crumbled to the ground before crashing into dust that blew in the burning winds.
Mortis watched the black haired boy, whose back was smeared with mud and blood, stare up into the smoke filled sky in silence for a long moment.
" Are you here to kill me" Mrotis felt he had the teens attention not just with his eyes, but by the way the force settled on his shoulders, he could feel the gaze of ... something, settle apon his shoudlers. As that nude child turned to face him with the look of someone completely uncaring for your existence.
Mortis shook his head, already deciding what must he done as soon as he laid eyes on the young man. Instead he beckoned the boy forward with a wave of the hand.
The unnamed boy stares in silence for a moment, eyes lingering on Mortis's face as the force penetrated and studied Mortis from head to toe.
" We have much to do... and time is not on our side, let us depart" Mortis turned away, arms crossing at the small of his back before he began to walk away from the scraps of fluttering fabric that was the slave pens.
He contemplated not listening, but something compelled him forward. Whether it was the initial perception of shatterpoints, a crackling in the galaxies fate that he perceived, or the caressing whisper of the darkside itself whispering in his ears to follow. He took a single step forward into the mud underfoot. That one step forward, wet and cold, forever changed the course of the galaxies fate as he followed in Mortis's shadow.
... THE PRESENT ...
..From pod racing to raiding pirate outposts, Nox and Scyva took their time for several more months enjoying what the mid rim had available for citizens of all walks of life to enjoy.
From racing a ' Borrowed' Speeder in the boonta eve classic which coincidentally in most of the competition died mid race when they tried jostling Nox off the track. To a stint in spice smuggling for a small-time gangster who was immensely grateful at the successful delivery, Nox truly spent time enjoying experiencing the thrill of life people of all standing found themselves in.
Whereas now, on a backwater world, with nothing but shorts on and a hoe in his hand, Nox worked the garden bed for the small family of farmers he was staying with. A family kind enough to take in a stranger for no reason other than pure kindness.
" Few " He raised from the chewed up mulch he had just removed weeds from, Turning to look at the mountain in the distance where the X-70 and thus Scyva were waiting for him when he grew bored of playing farmer.
" Here ya are mate" A joyous man, A human farmer who had his family live on this farm for the last two centuries, handed Nox a mug of freshly harvested juice.
Nox accepted the drink, Where the usual hidden malice was missing, Instead replaced by a silent emptiness. Not angry nor sad, He wasn't happy either ... simply content with the silence.
He drank the offered juice after leaning on the hoe, savouring the flavour with a small satisfied belch to which he and the farmer chuckled.
" Are you happy ... out here " Nox and the farmer turned to stare out at the setting sun, Where Nox felt the sweat slowly running down his back.
" O course mate, I got a beutiful wife and appy kids. Ain't need much else ya ask me. I ain't know much else" He old farmer shrugged in an innocence Nox had uniquely attributed to the farmer.
' When was I ever ... REALLY happy...' Nox tilted his head to the side in thought. He had destroyed and taken everything until he stood atop a mountain of corpses as a monarch. Sure, he had been content, satisfied with his victory over those who thought themselves his betters. But he couldn't recall a time he was actually ... happy. Just content. And the difference between being content and happy, in his mind, might have as well been the difference between heaven and earth.
' Now that i think of it ... the darkside and way of the sith is simply a never ending cycle of desire for more, an inherant emptiness, a never ending search for something better to fill the gap of what was taken in exchange for more' He chuckled at the thought, claiming to have forsaken the limitations of the dark and overcome the restrictions of the light, And yet he was stuck with neither happiness nor fulfilment other than the small acts of enjoyment he got from doing these things like farming, that lasted for but a fleeting moment in what he knew was going to be a very ... very long life. It was like a void had opened up where there should have been the capacity to properly feel such things, had been taken in exchange for true unending eternity.
" Not to worry ... I'll get it back " The farmer gave him a strange side eye as they entered the small shelter he and his family loved in" Ah dinner smells good"
... 3 weeks later...
He had spent time aplenty at the estate before finally choosing to leave the family unharmed, departing with nothing but goodwill at his back toward the X-70 laying in waiting.
" Did you find what you sought milord " Scyva asked as Nox placed a small box of supplies given to him by the gracious family to keep.
" I certainly found something ... I'm not entirely sure what yet though " He shrugged and moved to his personal quarters, washing himself clean of the muck he had gathered during his stay on the agricultural world.
And so they went on another venture, this time it would be some time before they would return to the galaxy proper.
... RAKATA PRIME...
They dropped out of hyperspace above the ancient home world of the Rakata, otherwise known as lehon.
As the warships Nox had brought drew themselves into formation over the planet's surface, Studying the ancient planet with great contemplation.
" Bring us down to the surface, I want to explore its long-lost riches" He could feel it, the exhilaration and excitement he sought but always failed to truly grasp, slowly returning to him as the warships slowly lowered through the scattered remains of what used to be a technological weapon orbiting the planet.
" And make sure to collect the star forge fragments " A shell of said fragments seemed to have constructed itself, guided by the ancient rakatan weapons desire to build, it had remade itself ... at least partially.
Sitting inert and unused in space, Nox thought a waste to simply allow these pieces of formidable technology to he forgotten by time on a backwater alien world.
" I'll organise a recovery fleet milord" Across the galaxy, several tens of warships filled with droids and shunted out of iokath, heading for Rakata prime with one singular goal in mind.
" Very good" The warships lowered past the planets atmosphere, clearing up to see the abandoned temples riddling several islands across the aquatic planets surface.
" We're detecting several groups of lifeforms across the planets surface" Scyva informed him as they turned and departed the warships bridge.
" Let's go meet the locals then "
....
Howling daughter echoed as guttural growls howled, the bestial descendants of the ancient rakata Leaping at him with primitive spears.
He didn't bother activating his lightsaber, instead his foot pivoted and hand flashed out, fist planting in the rakatans sternum followed up by a spinning backhand to the rakatans head.
A thunderclap snapped the rakatans neck as three others raced forward, their weary eyes straying to scyva and the contingency of droids that accompanied her. Yet they didn't interfere, this was her masters request.
" You have no idea " He didn't care if they understood him, he leapt to the side as a spear was thrust at his side, grabbing the spear and pulling its wielder forward. He crammed an elbow into the alien's chest, dislodging the spear from their grip before running them through.
" How much joy it brings me to see your race reduced to this " He pulled the spear back and began to twirl it overhead before lowering it and clashing blades with the other two remaining rakata as more rushed from their temples.
" EEEEHHH " The primal screech of anguish echoed as his superior might and speed drove them back, three quick thrusts towards one of these beasts caused it to fall, he slammed the butt of the spear into the ground, using it as a pole to lift himself up and kick at the chin of the third, the sound of cracking bone echoing as it fell back, it's lower jaw Splitting in two as blood exploded outward, it's eyes rolling back as it died.
The systematic slaughter of these primitive rakata continued unimpeded, as Nox tore through the species like a hot knife through butter, with scyva picking up the corpses to be harvested and decoded.
It only stopped as Nox stood at the centre of their camp, the bodies of men, women and children of this disgusting race lay at his feet, the spear he had sued embedded in the chest of their tribal leader.
" Shouldn't have attacked me " He lowered and pried the head of the rakatan tribal leader from its shoulders, holding it up to his head to study " Your fault "
He tossed the head toward Scyva to add to his collection of trophies.
" Light ... " His request was answered by a hovering droid coming up to his side, The previously fire lit chamber illuminating under the fluorescent light.
" Now then" He pulled the spear out, keeping it at his side as he approached the temple walls, finger toying at his chin as he studied the murals depicted.
Learning was its own form of satisfaction, even as Scyva offered to translate the scripture in the wall, nox waved her off and began deciphering the scripture piece by piece.
He already had some foundational knowledge of their language, it was simply building apon what was already there.
And so he moved from left to right, reading the scripture aloud for Scyva to record before he stopped infront of a seemingly regular portion of the wall.
" There " His hand thrust forward, alchemical stone exploding violently in on itself as a pitch-black tunnel moved down under the temple " ooh splendid a secret ... let's go "
As a group, Nox guided the unit of droids under his charge into the depths below, the sound of dripping water echoing from far off, jagged stone occasionally sticking out which they had to shimmy past.
Before long, as they delved into the planets surface, they found themselves coming out into a series of towering caverna and subsurface temples, the light provided by the hovering droid floating macro's the way.
" How many years do you think this had been here ... undisturbed " Nox turned to scyva, the droid walking forward and scanning the surroundings.
Apon closer inspection, Nox blinked rapidly as he realized that the temples above and this amphibian architecture differed so greatly that they might as well have come from different species entirely.
" This isn't rakatan architecture ... scyva how old do you believe this is " He began to undress, the temples submerged under water needed exploring, and he wouldn't be doing it ruining his clothes.
" Decay rate of this structure indicates that this temple appears to exceed four hundred thousand years old, it also has considerable resemblance to old Gungan architecture found on the planet Naboo, I believe they hold relation" Nox chewed his lips, striding forward to the caverns watered edge.
" Gungan's ... interesting. And how old would you say the race of Gungan's on Naboo is ... from your belief" His feet sunk into the water's edge, strangely warm to the touch.
" Oldest interactions with Gungan's extend no further than five thousand years. Before that Gungan history is ... unknown " Scyva announced much to Nox's intrigue.
" It seems we have another stop to go over when we leave " With that he dove into the water, the light droid following him dropping into the water after him as he swam into the submerged temple.
The tunnels wound and twisted, some paths blocked or collapsed, yet he managed to make his way to the temples centre.
' I've found it ... what I've been seeking' As the droid illuminated a mural wall, He leant forward and pressed his face against the cold stone. A smile coming to his face as bubbles scaped his nose.
Knowledge, the one and only love of his life that never failed him. Uncovering secrets lost to the galaxy, Joy roared to life within his heart.
His hands fluttered back as the illuminating droid recorded the glyphs, as Nox's eyes trailed over the scripts.
' If I'm not mistaken ... those are indeed Gungan's depicted' Though the reason they would appear here in a temple that pre-dated even their home on Naboo was unknown, his desire to uncover the secrets held within stirred.' Interesting'
...
He returned to the surface in an eruption of water as he leapt from the water's depths, landing with a wet slap of the feet.
" Send out more drones, record everything... I wish to go over it all later " He redressed himself whilst the memories of the glyphs flashed in his mind.
From the droids that followed scyva, Ten more of those circular droids that illuminated the caves surged into the water, their cameras immediately beginning to record the moment they sunk into the waters surface.
" We are not alone " His words gave Scyva paused, As he finished wrapping his tunic" We have company waiting for us at the surface... none aggressive I believe"
...
" You know I didn't think your species had enough collective intelligence to build technology once more " Nox spoke as they stepped onto the beaches of rakata prime, staring at the very much rakatan ship that had landed Infront of their shuttle to the surface" How did you get past my warships"
The rakata that studied them, six in total, stared them down in contemplative silence, their beedy eyes looking over the bodies of their feral brethren.
From across the sea, another rakatan ship approached, having returned from another island, rotating in the air and landing alongside the first rakatan ship as they two groups regarded eachother in silence.
" Eetchta " That began a long speech from the intelligent rakata, how they had come from the opposite side of the rakata archipelago and circled the plant under the warships scanners.
' We'll have to fix that ' They continued to explain about how they were here to recover their history in an attempt to rebuild their previous technologies, having successfully started with their space faring vessels.
" Can I see what you recovered for a moment" His question was met with suspicion, but out of a desire to foster good relations for the moment, the rakata of the second vessel brought forward several tablets and pieces of technology.
The stone tablets presented to Nox made him freeze. More ancient than anything he had seen save for the mysterious Gungan temple. What immediately drew his attention was the glyph at the centre of the second tablet, A humanoid shaped woman floating over the races or rakata.
" What is the name of that idol" Nox pointed at the woman's glyph, curiosity dripping as his head tilted.
" Onrai " The intelligent rakata responded in the closest thing to basic, a name , not something needed to be translated.
" Scyva ... cross reference anything relating to this onrai idol " Nox accepted the tablet presented, refusing to look away from the strange glyph.
" There appears to be no mention of such a figure in later rakatan texts apart from religious scripture, Onrai ... claimed creator goddess of the rakatan species if their religious beliefs are to be taken at face value" Nox nodded along, listening to Scyva's translation. As she finished he turned back to the rakata and spoke in plain basic so they wouldn't understand his words.
" Kill them all , Scour the planet for more of these tablets and other important idols ... and send the ships to find the rest of their outposts ... burn them back to the stone age ... again " Nox turned away and stepped to the side, before the scantly armoured rakata could react, they were gunned down on the spot by Scyvas iokath wardroids.
" Bring these ships up to the fleet, we'll take them back for reverse engineering... see if we can discover anything. In the meantime, I'll be in my study with these" His hand stretched out and pointed at the rakatan artefacts, with Nox and the recovered artefacts vanishing into thin air, instantly teleporting himself and the artefacts up to the fleet in orbit.
....
' This is what I've been missing for so long' Around him sat the now fully translated tablets, The religious scripture of the rakata fully laid out before him in a clear and concise way for him to understand.
' I knew it ... ' He sat back in self satisfaction. He was no longer soul searching, He had found his thrill that made his blood rush even now.
And so he allowed himself to fall into old habits.
' If what this scripture indicates is anything to go by . A powerful humanoid named Onrai bestowed life apon these rakata, Instilling them their beliefs and drive. The belief that they were the superior race stems from this belief ... how amusing' The X-70B hurtled through space toward naboo, it wouldn't do to have the warfleet leave iokath space into the midrim, if they were discovered it would he more trouble than it was worth. And so they left the fleet in iokath space and boarded his personal ship, hurtling towards naboo to continue this investigation.
... NABOO ...
The X-70 dropped out of hyperspace over the lush plasma rich world whose oceans dove through the planet's surface.
Transmitting their landing codes, the X-70 hurtled through Naboo's skies as it lowered over the mountains and Plains towards the landing pad, they were requested to land near Theed.
Their departure was swift, a singular goal in mind as Nabooian crews worked to refuel the ship in their absence.
" Theed is rather pleasant on the eye ... It wasn't like this when I ruled was it " Nox asked with scyva shaking her head.
They hopped onto a readily available speeder, the speeder taking them towards the capital city of theed.
" Where exactly are we supposed to go to meet these Gungans" Nox stepped off of the speeder onto theeds bustling streets, mingling with the everyday citizen despite the curiosity that was the incredibly high tech Scyva standing at his side.
" Their city as recorded, Otoh gunga is located below Lake paonga, public access is limited" Nox shrugged at her warning.
" When have I ever cared about what the public thinks... we either go in there with permission or without" Nox studied a map of theed that was handed to him by his droid " Would you mind organising a submersible to take us down... use any means necessary"
" of course your majesty " Scyva bowed amd departed, nox stared at the palace in the distance, though it was small by his standards. He did admire it somewhat.
' Funny little monarchs they are' He shrugged and snuffed out something to eat, choosing to enjoy what naboo had to offer as he waited for Scyva to arrange transport.
He sat down at a waterfront restaurant, Ordering a favoured drink of the locals and admiring the sights around.
' Its flavourful yes ... but abit much ' The wine had had procured, blossom wine, swirled around his palette before he placed the remainder of the saucer on the table, not desiring in the slightest to finish the beverage.
" Was it not to your liking milord " Scyva's return was as silent as it was efficient, coming to stand behind Nox who turned to face her.
" Too sweet, Have you arranged transport " Scyva nodded.
" I have arranged for a mutual exchange of knowledge "
...
" a mutual exchange of knowledge " Nox poke to the thin pale skinned history keeper , standing in the bubble shielded under water city of otah gunga" You see, I found a rather interesting series of ruins on a world I'm sure you haven't heard of"
Leaning forward, the scholar found themselves intrigued by the images that were displayed.
" meesa can say with certainty that this is indeed quite similar to ousa big buildings... housa old would yousa say this is " Nox felt his desire to murder this backward speaking alien rise with each word but composed himself regardless.
" Five hundred thousand years old give or take a couple millennia" The Gungan's scepticism turned to blatant and open surprise as he studied the images. Scripture they still used to this day present in the underwater ruins. Idols they had at their religious sights, but these pictures seemed to have things that they didn't, missing bits of history they hadn't even known they were missing.
" Dis a is very valuable to oursa... " He cradled the datapad and continued to swipe, moving across the databases that stored their collective knowledge to the very earliest recordings " yousa see oursa history only goes back until wesa already had oursa technology "
' So even by their earliest depictions they already had their technology. But why would they have not recorded things from the start 'The scholar grabbed a databank that had been transcribed from the earliest utterance of their spoken language.
You see as a society, Gungans strived to be as close to the natural order of the world as possible, striving for peace over conquest. Their languages and beliefs were more often than not transferred over story and speech rather than recorded history. So it wouldn't have been until more sophisticated of their kind rose that they would have bothered recording their history.
' Which would explain the gaps' Which gave credence to the possibility that this was all but a dead end, what knowledge could a species that didn't even record their own history have to give, how best to flay a fish.
" Whatsa would yousa like in exachange for dis " Fully open to accept whatever trade Nox proposed, he rolled his shoulders in thought.
' Go big or go home ' Nox shrugged and spoke" Access to your religious sites at the soonest convenience... I wish to see if there is any correlation to other findings I have and what your history depicts"
" Meesa will try for yousa, though meesa believe guards willsa have to accompany yousa "
" Before you go, Which religious site do you believe is most important to Gungan culture " The force suggestion took effect before the Gungan could leave.
" Data would be the ossorus inda da big deep " The Gungan turned away and promptly passed out without anything further for Nox to gain, who pried his datapad from the Gungans hand and departed without looking back, the Gungan wouldn't even remember why he was there or who he was meeting.
....
" I believe I've located what you seek master" The submersible dove through the pitch black waters of Naboo, deep near the planets core .
Churning waters devoid of life thanks to the creeping shadow of Nox's presence.
" Show me " Performing a other scan, Scyvas hand opened up to reveal a holoprojector, which illuminated to show a Gargantuan bubble dome suspended suspiciously close to the planets dead centre. Massive veins of plasma seemed to ripple around the dome, as if meant to shroud this creation from the rest of the world .
'It seems the surface depleting of Naboos plasma stores has made this otherwise inaccessible city... accessible ' The submersible twisted and dove deeper, moving silently through crags in naboos surface into the pitch black depths.
' I can feel ... ' The deeper they went, the more the force seemed to condense, as if some great presence was held within its depths.
' How .... interesting' For many this presence would have made them flee in terror, but a being such as himself fueled by not only the living force, but the very depths of the cosmic force, found this presence quite ... fallible.
As if influenced by the presence within, the waters they were sinking through heated up and, light shining in the far distance as shifting veins of blue plasma condensed and fluttered within the planets centre.
And from where he could see, A platform city floated within the swirling confines of the gargantuan plasma ball.
" We'll park here" The submersible came to a halt before the hospitable environment infront of them could damage the craft.
Leaving the vehicle idle, Nox grabbed Scyva by the shoulder plate, and the two vanished, transferring from the vessel and right into the entryway of the forgotten Gungan city.
....OSSORUS ....
Nox and Scyva, materialising within the smallest of the four bubble domes, found the forgotten city to be rather sparse if not entirely empty of anything of note.
His gaze swept the empty dome, the churning bubble of plasma they had teleported into swirling a vibrant blue around the babble dome they were within.
The heat was surprisingly low, nothing more than a regular Gungan water city.
" Well there's nothing here, only way is forward" A single door stood at the far side of the entry dome, which the duo walked towards without any signs of hurry. And so they entered a shielded tunnel towards what looked like an opening chamber, of which he couldn't see due to the plasma slamming the tunnel from all angles.
" Out of all the things I was expecting... it wasn't this" He knew ghosts when he saw them, and the thing he was looking at was no ghost.
" Yousa shouldn't be heresa " Far different from any of the Gungans Nox had ever laid eyes on, this one stood a towering three metres tall, rippling muscle and clearly defined tribal tattoos on its body.
With glowing yellow eyes and sharp features, if Nox couldn't feel the deep well of the force surrounding this peerless warrior, he would have mistaken them for a sith.
" What is your name " Nox asked as he stepped intonthe wide circular chamber, seeing the only way forward being a door at the other side of the chamber.
" Balam " It spoke, the sceptre it had at its side rising to its hands with what was obviously use of the force. Scyva made to step forward but was stopped by a rising of Nox's hand.
" Don't... I'll deal with this myself" Nox reached into his robes as a creeping shadow stretched from within, His hand curling around the glyph covered hilt of his lightsaber, a faint red glow illuminating from the interior of the exposed crystal chamber.
Seeing the red crystal even from across the chamber, Balam's demeanour shifted to one of weariness.
" Oh ... do you recognise this " The red crystal embedded within the hilt of his saber was in every essence of the word, unique . Called the Kaiburr crystal, it was to be shaven from a larger orb of mysterious origin on mimban.
" Dat is da weapon of da bad guds ... " Now balam pointed his sceptre " Explain why it is da your possession "
" Of the god's you say ... quite interesting, Would you happen to be referring to the statue of promojema " From what the priests of mimban said, promojema was a deity of healing, quite the opposite of whatever this Gungan believed clearly.
Hearing the name, the Gungan warrior hissed and brandished his sceptre.
" Yousa reek of it's influence... meesa must stop a yousa " Now Nox was more curious than ever, tilting his head to the side as the Gungan very obviously prepared to charge at him without further deliberation.
" I can't wait to pry out whatever little secrets you have in that little head of yours" The saber screamed to life as black and purple surged, red bolts jumping up and down the blade as two ancient entities prepared to duel .
With a flurry of his weapon, Nox took the stance of Tulak Hord with practices ease, his lips parting in a near mocking sneer.
" Yousa will he stoppda " The Gungan charged.
" Foolish... and futile"
