Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: That’s Way Too Big

As Jaeger's words left his mouth, the atmosphere grew heavy.

Akainu and Magellan exchanged quick looks, clearly thrown off. They couldn't tell what the Celestial Dragon was getting at and that uncertainty made it worse.

Shiryu's eyes, however, gleamed with a strange fascination as he watched Jaeger.

He could sense it — that faint trace of murderous intent hidden beneath Jaeger's calm words.

And for some reason, it resonated with him.

That quiet ruthlessness… that noble arrogance… it was the kind of authority Shiryu instinctively respected and wanted to see more of.

Stussy was caught off guard. She knew all too well that the position of Impel Down's director wasn't something one could just interfere with — not even a Celestial Dragon.

The fact that Jaeger could so casually decide the fate of someone like that… it was dangerous.

To her surprise, though, Vice Admiral Bone Dragon, the prison commissioner, didn't even seem fazed. He stood there with the calm indifference of someone who'd already accepted whatever was coming, a man far too familiar with the price of loyalty.

Meanwhile, in the group chat, chaos immediately erupted.

Sakura Tohsaka: "Eh?! Jaeger-nii, what are you going to do?!"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "He really just asked someone if they want to dedicate their life…? Is he serious right now?"

They thought Jaeger's first target would be a pirate locked down in impel down.

Miyuki Uchiha: "Wait, Jaeger's first target is the prison warden? That guy hadn't even showed up in the anime! Could he really be some hidden legend?"

Yamamoto Mei: "It's not that he didn't appear. The world of pirates is just too vast. If he's that high-ranking, he definitely has his own legendary story — it just never got told."

Yamamoto Mei: "But still… if Jaeger really plans to kill him, asking him to his face like that? Isn't that a bit… too straightforward?"

Esdeath: "Hmph, don't worry. Jaeger doesn't strike me as an idiot. Just wait and see — he probably knows exactly what he's doing."

--

In the world of One Piece, Jaeger's gaze stayed fixed on Vice Admiral Bone Dragon as he spoke, calm and composed.

"I've reviewed your record on the way here,"

Jaeger began, his voice clear but firm. "If you agree to die willingly by my hand, I'll guarantee your crippled son's promotion to civilian Vice Admiral within the World Government. He won't have to fight again — he'll live a life of comfort and status."

Jaeger then turned to the others present, his tone as steady as ever.

"Magellan," he said, "you'll take over as Chief Warden of Impel Down and, at the same time, assume the rank of Vice Admiral in the Navy."

"Shiryu," Jaeger continued, his tone even, "you'll be promoted to Vice Warden of Impel Down, and you'll also hold the rank of Vice Admiral at Navy Headquarters."

He paused for a moment, his gaze shifting toward Akainu.

"And you, Akainu…"

There was a brief silence before Jaeger spoke again, his words suggestive.

"You'll rise above Borsalino and Kuzan. From this moment on, you're promoted to Admiral — and you'll take command of the Buster Call."

As Jaeger's words lingered in the air, Stussy could feel the shift around her. The people nearby were breathing faster, the weight of his words pressing down on them.

Even Chief Warden Bone Dragon, who usually carried himself with unshakable composure, stood motionless — waiting to hear what Jaeger would say next.

Yamamoto Mei: "I see… Jaeger-kun really does have a way with people. Who could resist an offer like that?"

Esdeath: "Indeed. Everyone here seems… deeply moved."

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Ara~ What a terrifying man… a noble with real power—and an even more powerful mouth.~"

Miyuki Uchiha: "W–Wait! Mouth?! Utaha-senpai! Why does that sound so… wrong when you say it?!"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Oh? Did it? Maybe it's just your imagination… or maybe you're thinking about what more that mouth could do.~"

Miyuki Uchiha: "That… sounds so hot when you say it, Senpai~"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "…"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "…I was going to say something clever, but that just killed my brain cells."

--

Jaeger's proposition was undeniably tempting.

For Magellan and Shiryu, it offered a shortcut past years of climbing the ranks — an immediate rise to power and recognition.

For Akainu, it meant fewer years of endless battles and a faster path toward realizing his vision of 'absolute justice.'

As for Bone Dragon, the old man had lived long enough to know when his time had come. With a crippled son left behind, Jaeger's offer wasn't a threat — it was a chance. A chance to secure his son's future, even if it cost him his own life.

The silence that followed was heavy… almost suffocating.

"I am willing to die for the nobility of the world," Chief Warden Bone Dragon declared at last, his voice steady and free of doubt.

Without a moment's hesitation, he sank to one knee before Jaeger, bowing his head and baring his neck — a wordless gesture of absolute surrender.

Jaeger smiled gently, his expression calm and almost kind but his left hand began to shift, morphing into a strange black-gold form that shimmered faintly under the light.

"What is that!?"

Akainu and the others instinctively stepped back, a chill running down their spines. An oppressive energy radiated from Jaeger's black-gold hand — something dangerous, something that seemed to gnaw straight at their souls.

Miyuki Uchiha: "OH MY GOD, IT'S HAPPENING! EVERYONE STAY CALM—IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!!"

Yamamoto Mei: "...You're the only one not staying calm, Miyuki"

Esdeath: "What an interesting power… I can't wait to see what it does!"

--

With a single, fluid motion, Jaeger's black-gold hand came down.

In an instant, Bone Dragon's neck was severed.

Blood sprayed through the air in a dark crimson arc before Magellan stepped forward, catching the old man's head mid-fall. His face twisted — not in anger, but in quiet grief.

He wanted to protest, to shout at Jaeger for the cruelty of it all. But he couldn't. Deep down, he knew… Bone Dragon had accepted this end.

And Jaeger's promise — would be kept.

Jaeger didn't even glance at the others. He simply stood there, silent, as the energy from Bone Dragon's fading life force began to surge into him.

It wasn't just a transfer of strength — it felt like a legacy being passed down, a legendary inheritance born from loyalty and sacrifice.

The moment that power entered Jaeger's body, something immense stirred within him — vast and powerful.

"Come—Leviathan, the Dragon of Chaos!"

A deafening boom split the air. The bright blue sky darkened in an instant, swallowed by a storm of black clouds. For a heartbeat, everyone was blinded.

"W–What is this!? What's happening!?" Akainu shouted, teeth gritted as the air itself seemed to shake.

"It's not darkness!" Magellan yelled, his voice edged with disbelief. "The sun—it's being covered!"

A roar erupted.

"GYYYYYAAAAAA—!"

The sound tore through the heavens, so loud it made the world itself tremble. The sea for hundreds of kilometers erupted in towering waves, and even distant islands froze in terror as the horizon twisted under the pressure.

Then, it appeared.

A colossal shadow swept across the ocean—a massive, bone-covered dragon. Its black scales shimmered faintly like obsidian, and its wings stretched so wide they blotted out the sun, casting an eclipse over Impel Down.

Its claws could crush islands, and its breath churned the sea below into chaos.

The Leviathan, the Dragon of Chaos—born from the soul of Chief Warden Bone Dragon.

The creature's sheer presence spoke of something far older, something that didn't belong to this age. A power that might well be tied to the world's deepest secrets… perhaps even one of the Ancient Weapons themselves.

Jaeger stood silently, his eyes gleaming with power as the colossal dragon's shadow stretched across the sky.

'Nice. Now let's just pretend this was all part of the plan,' he thought, a small, amused smile curling on his lips.
