The grand hall was abuzz with excitement as the pack gathered for the grand day of the celebration. Adeline however, was focused on the escape she had been planning,waiting for the perfect moment to make her break. This particular day was crucial, and she knew she had to be careful. With Alpha Evans watching her every move, she had to be strategic about her escape plan.
Just then, the door opened and Alpha Evans assistant entered the room. "The alpha requires your presence in the celebration, " he said, his voice formal. " you're to join him in the grand hall."
Adeline's curiosity got the the better of her. " why?" She asked, her voice laced with a hint of skepticism.
The assistant expression didn't change, but his tone took a slightly patronizing tone. "You should be a grateful that our alpha is Extending an invitation to you. It's not every day that he notices someone like you." he paused, his eyes scanning her disheveled appearance. "You're to change into something more suitable. You look like a mess."
Adeline's mind whispered, "why am I even questioning this? Just go along with it, it might be an opportunity to escape," she bit her tongue, choosing not to respond.
The assistant handed her a dress, it's fabric, soft and elegant. " change into this, and try to look presentable. Our alpha is waiting."
She took the dress, Adeline couldn't help but think about the assistance condescending Tone. " and make sure you are quick," he added, his voice dripping with disdain. " I'll be waiting outside."
That, he turned and left the room, closing the door behind him. Adaline let out a breath and quickly changed into the dress, her mind recent possibilities. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come and open the door.
The assistant was indeed waiting outside, His expression unreadable. " let's go," he said, offering his hand in a gesture that was more command than courtesy.
Adeline ignored his arm, Falling into a step beside him as they walked towards the ground hall. The sound of music and laughter grew Louder, and Adeline's heart Sunk. She was walking into the lions den, and she had no idea what Lay ahead.
As she stood in the grand hall, surrounded by the pack members, Adeline eyes locked onto the door, she knew it was now or ever. With a quick glance around the room, she made a dash for the door, her heart pounding in her chest.
But Alpha Evans was too quick. He saw her movement and strolled towards her, his eyes narrowing. "Ah, Adeline. I don't think you are going anywhere," he said, his voice dripping with menace.
The pack members began to closing into around her, their face twisted with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. Adeline heart sunk, realizing she was trapped.
Just as Alpha Evans was about to grab her, a commotion erupted in the hall. A group of pack members stumbled into the room, shouting, and arguing. The distraction was all Adaline needed. She took advantage of the chaos to break free and make a run for it.
As she fled down the hallway, her heart racing with fear, Alpha Evans angry shout echoed through the halls. " catch her!" he bellowed.
Adeline's breath came in ragged gaps as she ran, her eyes scanning the hallway for any sign of escape. For every door leads to more pack members, more danger.
Meanwhile, Alpha Damien's assistant had been sent to investigate the commotion in the hall. He opened a door, expecting to find a group of rowdy Pack members instead, he found out Adeline, her eyes wild with fear, her hair disheveled. For a moment, the assistant just stared at her, taking in the sight of a girl who had been held captive. She looked fragile, scared, and utterly beautiful.
Adaline's eyes Locked onto his, and she took a step back, her chest heaving. The assistant's gaze lingered on her face, and he felt a sudden jolt of recognition. He didn't know who she was, but he knew he had to protect her
" who are you?" he asked,his voice barely above a whisper.
Adeline's eyes flashed with desperation, and she took another step back, but the assistance expression softened, and he reached out a hand. " wait" , he said. " I'm not going to hurt you."
Just then, Alpha Damian strode into the hallway, his eyes scanning the area. And then they did landed on Adeline . She was standing there, looking tattered and scared and yet… utterly captivating.
The assistant watched as Alpha Damien expression changed, his eyes narrowing As he took in the sight of Adeline. For a moment, the air was thick with tension, and then Alpha Damien's face went Blank.
" what's going on here?" he asked, his voice is low and even
The assistant swallowed hard, trying to compose himself. " I found her trying to escape Alpha," he said his voice Steady.
Alpha Damien's eyes never left Adeline's face. " I see," he said, Dripping within intensity. " and who are you?"
Adeline's eyes locked onto his, a spark of defiance igniting within them. " I… I'm no one," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alpha Damien's eyes seemed to bore Into her soul, and Adeline felt a shiver run down her spine. But then, he nodded, he's expression softening. "You're coming with me," he said, his voice firm.
As Alpha Damien took Adeline's hand And led her away, Alpha Evans eyes narrowed in anger. He knew he had to get her back, but for now he was forced to let her go.
Later in the day, Alpha, Damien and Adeline , are in Alpha Damien Chambers, discussing her situation. Before they could get far, Alpha Evans appeared at the door, his eyes flashing with anger.
" Alpha Damian, I need to speak with you," he said his voice tight with control
Alpha Damien raise an eyebrow. " isn't today meant to be The last day of the festival, where All the park members transformed together to honor the goddess?" he asked, his voice casual
Alpha Evans face twisted with a snarl. " what does that have to do with anything?" his spat.
Alpha Damien's eyes locked onto his, a glint of amusement in their depths. " well, I was just wondering why you're keeping someone captive on a day like this. Don't you think that's a bit… insensitive?"
Other Alphas began to stir, their interest piqued. " yes, Alpha Evans explain yourself," alpha Laura said, her voice firm.
Alpha Evans face turned red with anger, but he forced a smile. " there isn't really anything to explain here, Adeline here is a member of my pack that has shown abnormalities and she was just being kept Locked up till we could understand and learn more about Abnormalities."
The Order Alpha exchanged skeptical glances. " abnormalities?" alpha Axel repeat repeated. " what do you mean?."
Alpha Evans hesitated, and for a moment Adeline thought she saw a flash of desperation in his eyes. " I just mean that she's…different," he said, his voice faltering .
A crowd had already formed around, Members of the pack began to murmur among themselves, their voices rising in anger and curiosity. Alpha Evan's face turned red with Rage, and Adeline knew that she was in engraved danger.
Alpha Damien stood tall, His eyes locked onto Alpha Evans. " I think we should take this matter to a more private place" and they all walked towards Alpha Evans office and Alpha Damien said. " I think it's Time we got to the bottom of this," his voice firm. " Adeline , Tell us what's been going on."
