A month later winter break starts and I already took my some of my visits to the colleges that are interested in me. I'm at home one night when Alexa texts me.
"Heyy"
"What's up?"
"What are you doing tomorrow?"
"Hmmm nothing probably just stay home, why?"
"Want to go to Disneyland?"
"Wait really?!"
"Yeah let's go, it'll be fun, technically this would be your first time going"
"I went when I was five though"
"That doesn't count, so you in?"
"Hell yeah I'm in!"
"Cool, pick me up at 8am"
"That's early"
"Earlier we get there the longer we can stay"
"I guess so"
"Cool be here at 8, I'll be waiting"
Buddy then appears out of nowhere
"Ooooo Disneyland date!"
"We're just friends"
"Yeah sure, 'just friends' we'll see tomorrow"
"Why you know something I don't?"
"No it's just easy to tell she likes you"
"This is the same girl that was cold as hell the first time we met"
"Alright then… 'I won't say I'm in looove'"
I start laughing
"Shut up buddy"
"I'm just teasing, but have fun"
"I will"
Buddy disappears and I head to bed. The next morning I get up and get ready and head to Alexa's house and pick her up. She walks out and hops in the car
"I'm surprised you're on time"
"Why do you say that?"
"Because every time I text you in the morning you don't respond until like eleven"
"Its winter break"
"So… get your ass up"
"Whatever Alexa"
"Well let's get going!"
An hour or so later we arrive at the park and walk in, everything decorated for Christmas
"Wow.. this is nice"
"I told you, now where do you want to go first?"
"I'll follow your lead, you've been here more than me"
"Alright hmmm how bout buzz light year astroblaster"
"You want to start out with a competition?"
"Loser buys the winner whatever they want"
"Oh bet"
we get to the ride and hop into the seats and the ride starts. We start shooting at the targets and try to rack up as many points as we can.
"Oh you're definitely going to owe me something"
"In your dreams Jay!"
the ride goes on and we hit the end of the ride and look at our scores, Alexa wins by a couple hundred points
"I told you! Now you owe me whatever I want"
"I let you win"
"Keep telling yourself that"
"So what do you want"
"Hmmm I'll think about but first let's keep going on rides"
"Sounds good to me"
We spend the next couple hours going on rides like space mountain, the Matterhorn, the haunted mansion, and the pirates of the Caribbean. Also eating snacks throughout the day before stopping to eat dinner.
"So how are you liking it so far Jay?"
"I love it, I'm definitely going to come here more often"
"Well you know who to come with now"
"Oh yeah definitely"
"What has been your favorite part so far?"
"Hmmm everything, I don't know just being here makes me feel like a kid again, like no worries. I'm not thinking about school, football or anything"
"That's good, I'm glad you're enjoying yourself"
"I want to say thank you too"
"For what?"
"For bringing me here, I probably wouldn't have gone anytime soon if it wasn't for you"
"Awww you're welcome"
"I'm still waiting on you to tell me what you want for winning though"
"Hmmm you can buy me a new pair of ears"
"I got you"
After eating we head to a shop where they sell the Mickey ears and she picks one out
"Ooo I like this one"
"Put it on and see how it looks"
She puts them on and looks at me
"How do I look?"
"Ummm cute"
She raises her eyebrows at me in shock
"Jay…"
"What they look cute on you"
"Well thank you"
"So are these the ones?"
"Yeah imma get these ones"
We go up to the register and I buy the ears for her and she wears them out. she hugs my arm on the way out
"Thank you!"
"You're welcome"
"We should take a picture in front of the castle"
"Oh yeah I'm down"
We walk to the front of the castle and she asks a older lady to take a picture of us
"Excuse me ma'am can you take a picture of us in front of the castle"
"Sure"
We stand in front of the castle and we give each other a hug as the older lady takes pictures of us
"Awww you guys are a cute couple!"
Me and Alexa look at each other and laugh
"Thank you ma'am"
"Well… that was something"
"Well she took some good pictures of us"
"Send those to me, imma post them on Instagram"
"Hmm you sure that's a good idea Jay?"
"Why do you say that?"
"Well you have a lot of girl followers"
"Oh god it's just a picture they'll get over it"
"Mmmhmm well you ready to watch the fireworks?"
"Yeah let's go"
We find a good spot to watch the fireworks and wait until the show starts. Fireworks start going off and as the show goes on I feel Alexa's hand hold mine. I look at her with a raised eyebrow and she just looks at me with a smile and moves closer to me. After the fireworks end we make the long drive home, it's mostly quiet since she falls asleep almost immediately once we leave the park. I wake her up when we get to her house.
"Hey we're at your house"
"Ohh ok… I had fun today"
"I did too, thank you again"
We both stare at each other for a little and slowly move closer to each other until our lips finally touch for a kiss. After a minute we pull apart and smile at each other
"I'll see you later Jay"
"Yeah see you"
I drive home and buddy appears in the passenger seat singing
"Caaan you feel the loooove tonight"
"You're so funny"
"What a cute little date that was, almost made me shed a tear"
"Whatever"
"Man look at that smile, you cheesin hard right now"
"Man leave me alone"
"Alright alright, get home and go to sleep"
Buddy disappears as I make the rest of the short drive home, I get home and walk upstairs to my room and knock out almost immediately once I lay down.
