Chapter 33 - Unexpected
Her legs propelled forward and her mind fought against it but there was nothing she could do. It was just like
It had happened on that day. The memories of seeing the hooded Silver Hunter in that room stirred up fear within her. She wanted to run but she couldn't.
Instead, her legs took more and more steps forward.
Her breath hitched in her lungs and the cold crept into every pore. She looked at the window instinctively, at the one she had seen the hooded Silver Hunter when she had run away from the place the last time and there was no one there. Yet this pull was so great, she couldn't pull away from it.
A scream burned in her throat but her mouth never gave it away and despite herself, her grip around Arik was firm.
Then she heard a whistle and saw different flashlights
"A runaway!" She heard guards yell from a distance away. "Find her!"
