Chapter 341 - Perfume No. 2

The 'Palm Tree Inn' at the street corner was already crowded with onlookers.

Taking off his white top hat, Roch, the Second Mate of Big Eater Marco, squeezed through the crowd, wanting to see Danitz's ultimate fate.

He felt that the Enforcers' pursuit was nearing its end, and Danitz had now cornered himself. If 'Blazing' fell into the Storm Church's hands, he would advise Captain Marco to cease their operation.

Just then, someone bumped into him. Roch looked over and saw a short, thin man with a local face, emanating a strong scent of spices. He frowned and moved away.

Suddenly.

An explosion echoed from inside the inn, and thick smoke billowed out of its windows. The inn owner cried, cursing Danitz, that great pirate.

Cordoba frowned and nodded to several Enforcers. They immediately rushed in, regardless of whether there was a trap inside, reckless yet brave. A few minutes later, an Enforcer ran out, covered in dust.

"How is it?" Cordoba asked.

The Enforcer shook his head: "He's gone. We searched upstairs and downstairs, every single room, but found no trace of Danitz."

As he finished speaking, another Enforcer ran out: "The target escaped through the underground waterway."

Cordoba was stunned for a moment. The underground waterway was a complex maze, and if Danitz had escaped into it, he would be difficult to apprehend.

However, this was also good.

It was fine to let 'Blazing' go like this.

This thought popped into the Deacon's mind. To make the performance convincing enough, he had not told the Enforcers that this was merely an act.

He simply hadn't let the Enforcers bring any Sealed Artifacts; otherwise, ten Danitzes wouldn't have been able to slip away.

Now that Danitz had escaped through the underground waterway, it saved him a lot of trouble and made the entire operation less flawed.

"Danitz must be fleeing towards the sea, blockade immediately!" Cordoba quickly issued the order.

This order was not wrong, but two teams of Enforcers, no matter what, could not blockade the entire Sea Island.

Cordoba turned and walked towards the Sea Wave Cathedral. As he turned into a street, he met up with a priest.

"Have someone monitor the sea and watch for small-scale storms."

The Deacon issued a puzzling order.

Somewhere on Blue Mountain Island, a drain cover fell off. A figure crawled out of the drainage ditch, fell to the ground, and lay there spread-eagled, gasping for Qi and staring at the sky.

"Damn it, they said they'd let me off at the critical moment, but those Enforcers looked like they wanted to execute me on the spot! Could that scoundrel Rayleigh have lied to me?"

After catching his breath, Danitz struggled to get up. This simple movement pulled at his wounds, making him grimace.

He looked around. Not far away was an deserted beach, and by the beach stood a red wooden house that looked like it hadn't been used for a long time. The wooden walls of the house were covered in graffiti.

"I'll hide in that wooden house." Danitz staggered to his feet and was about to walk towards the house when a sudden intuition struck him, and he whipped his head around.

A scorching white fireball blasted towards him!

Without time to think, Danitz quickly raised his hands to block in front of him.

Boom.

The violent explosion sent Danitz flying. His eyes were filled with the orange-red flames, feeling the scorching hot air wave blowing towards him, his eardrums aching and ringing from the blast.

He fell to the ground, and before he could react, white frost spread. Cold and transparent ice layers appeared around him at some point, freezing his hands and his feet.

Danitz's eyes narrowed. Flames erupted from his hands, and the ice layers cracked with a crackling sound, releasing steam.

He hurriedly dealt with the ice on his feet, only to see fire crows flying towards him. He could only free one hand, conjuring a long whip of condensed flames, which he swung through the air, blasting the fire crows one by one.

Finally, he cleared the ice from his feet. Just as he stood up, he felt a fierce gust of wind. A burly figure, like a Chariot, bore down on him!

The man's aura was cold, and his fierce, triangular eyes made no attempt to hide his malice. Even while charging, a cigarette was clenched between his thick lips.

He instantly reached Danitz, his heavy iron fist tracing a gray trajectory, striking upwards at 'Blazing's' abdomen.

Danitz only had time to raise his hand, condensing flames in his palm and detonating them instantly. Using the explosive air current to propel himself away, he dodged the punch. At the same time, he swung his fire whip, lashing it fiercely across the man's face.

Smack!

The opponent's head was snapped to the side by the blow, but when he turned back, there wasn't a single mark on his face!

Danitz was utterly astonished, unable to believe that the whip hadn't even managed to break the other party's skin.

Just then.

A scorching white flame spear flew towards him, aiming to pin him to the spot. Danitz strenuously rolled to the side, dodging the spear.

The spear's blazing white tip struck the wooden house in the distance, and the red wooden house was instantly engulfed in flames.

As Danitz stopped rolling, he saw a foot rapidly growing larger in his vision. Then, his vision went dark, and he felt a hard kick to his face. His nose ached and throbbed, tears uncontrollably welled up in his eyes, and his vision instantly blurred.

Then, a violent tremor hit the back of his head, and he immediately lost consciousness.

Looking at Danitz lying on the ground, 'Big Eater' Marco spat out his cigarette butt, reached out, and picked up 'Blazing', slinging him over his shoulder.

He turned his head, looking at Zot, who was not far away, dressed in a black suit, with dark red hair and a clown mask: "Notify Roch and Laffey. Meet at the old place."

In the Bayam city area, Olive Tree Avenue, Pame's Divination Hut.

This was a coffee shop with a mysterious theme. Lex appeared in the guise of an old man, silently drinking the cup of Fulmer coffee before him. This coffee, produced in the Pas River Valley of the Star Highlands on the South Continent, had a rich, slightly bitter taste, but with an endless aftertaste.

Just at the table in front, after sitting there for a moment, a man in a white suit, with a beard and gray-blue eyes, stood up.

It looked like he was preparing to leave.

Indeed, he put on his white half-top hat and pushed open the amber wooden door with its glass panes.

In the past half-hour or so, Lex had seen that man take out a handkerchief, close his eyes, and feign sleep, as if resting.

However, considering that the handkerchief was stained with Danitz's blood, Lex was more inclined to think that 'the other party was performing Dream Divination'.

He was not in a hurry to follow.

Lex sat for a while longer, then paid and left. Walking out of the coffee shop, Lex sniffed, catching a unique perfume scent in the air.

In the morning, he had concocted several unique-smelling perfumes and numbered them. Danitz used perfume No. 1. At the street corner of the 'Palm Tree Inn', Lex, disguised as a local resident, had approached the white-hatted man from earlier and sprayed him with perfume No. 2.

Now, the lingering scent of perfume in the air, like a signpost, pointed towards the white-hatted man!
