Chapter 398 - Evil Woman VS Puppet

Of course, the fish oil couldn't have just appeared from the wall, so the only answer was that someone had poured these oils over the villa!

People from the Marshal's Residence wouldn't do such a thing, so who would?

The answer was already obvious.

An outside enemy!

As the Soldiers realized this, it was too late to warn anyone. He saw a flash of fire on top of the villa.

Then...

Boom!

A ball of flame quickly spread, igniting the oil all over the villa and rapidly expanding along the spreading oil, like a blooming crimson flower. In an instant, it engulfed all three floors of the villa.

Bang, bang, bang.

The scorching flames caused the oil to expand and burst, spraying the burning fish oil to the villa's surroundings. It landed in the flowerbeds and on the grass. The dry flowers and grass immediately fueled the fire, erupting in crimson and igniting the area around the villa.

In just a few seconds, the fire became fierce, threatening to spiral out of control.

"Fire!"

"Quick, put out the fire!"

The Soldiers on night duty immediately lost all sleepiness. Amidst the raging inferno, the villa's windows constantly shattered, and people, wrapped in water-soaked bedsheets, occasionally climbed out of the windows.

People bustled about, fetching water to fight the fire.

Just as the Marshal's Residence caught fire, a figure, stepping through the night, emerged from the mist at the entrance of the estate.

The night wind blew off the hood covering her head and face. In the firelight, it illuminated a seductive and beautiful female face with the features of a South Continent race. Her long black hair danced in the wind, and sparks occasionally passed by her.

With no change in expression, the exotic lady walked through the main gate. A Soldier, carrying a Barrel, happened to be passing by the gate and immediately called out, "Who are you?"

The lady looked at him with her amber eyes. The Soldier's gaze immediately became dazed. He then dropped his Barrel, reversed his rifle, and pointed the muzzle at his chin.

Bang!

The Soldier pulled the trigger without hesitation, sending a bullet into his chin and out the top of his head, bringing with it a large splatter of red and white matter.

His body fell to the ground.

The lady reached out, as if grasping something invisible.

Then, she extended both hands forward, pushing with force, as if opening a heavy door.

In an instant, a bronze-colored door appeared before her. This door was covered in mysterious patterns, with many indescribable symbols or designs.

The door swayed, making creaking sounds, and a gap opened.

Within the gap was endless darkness. A red light suddenly lit up inside, followed by green, white, and ghostly blue. Various colors of faint Light lit up one after another, densely peering out at the world beyond the door.

Then, a strange 'shashasha' sound echoed from within the door, as if countless bizarre things were frantically surging towards the door.

A moment later, a translucent hand covered in eyes reached out from within the door.

It pressed against the door, then pushed, dragging out a grotesque figure that would scare an ordinary person to death.

And things like this were frantically rushing out of the door, like prisoners escaping from a jail. As soon as they left the door, they excitedly shrieked and rushed into the distance.

From afar, it looked as if a gray, turbid wave was gushing from the door. As soon as this turbid wave left the door, it immediately spread in all directions.

At the same time.

The Soldiers fighting the fire in the estate suddenly became dazed. They either shot themselves, or shot their comrades, or rushed into the fire, or slit their own throats with daggers.

They continuously fell, and then their spiritual bodies were dragged from their physical bodies by an invisible force, quickly thrown into the spreading turbid wave.

The fire continued to burn, and the surrounding vegetation was all reduced to ash. A gust of wind blew up a cloud of ash, which drifted like a dark cloud towards the woman.

Suddenly, these ashes seemed to have a mind of their own, circling eerily in mid-air before flying towards the black-haired woman. The ashes frantically burrowed into her nose, obscured her eyes, and poured into her mouth.

This made her frantically claw at her face, coughing repeatedly and stepping back.

A tree behind her swayed wildly in the wind, and suddenly, branches detached from the trunk, sketching gray shadows like arrows, and pierced the woman's body, instantly making her look like a porcupine.

At the same time, the cloak the woman was wearing, as if lifted by an invisible hand, suddenly wrapped around her body, continuously contracting and tightening, like a python strangling its prey, causing the woman's body to twist unnaturally.

Her skin, her muscles, were torn by this terrifying force, splattering blood.

But her blood seemed to be extremely corrosive. As soon as it sprayed onto the cloak, it immediately corroded through it, causing it to emit blue smoke.

In the blink of an eye, the cloak was already riddled with holes. The woman inside simply split it with both hands, tearing apart the malevolent cloak.

Even though she was subjected to such a bizarre attack, she showed no panic, no change in expression.

She simply walked up to the corpse of a Soldier, stomped her foot, and the corpse immediately exploded. The splattered flesh landed on the grass, then wriggled to the woman's feet, constantly clinging to her body, and undergoing Fusion with her body.

During this process, the twisted wounds on the woman's body rapidly healed. In just a breath's time, her skin had returned to smoothness, with no trace of a wound.

But at this moment, an expressionless but sinister-looking old man was reflected in each of the woman's eyes.

Even so, she still showed no expression, only opening her mouth as if to cry for help.

Suddenly, a blurry black shadow appeared behind her. It seemed to be a man, with long limbs and a cluster of tentacles dancing behind him.

A moment later, this entity pulled a pale figure from the woman's body – the old man who had just been reflected in the woman's eyes.

After the old man was pulled out, his figure suddenly vanished, reappearing reflected in a piece of broken glass on the ground nearby.

The old man within it let out a silent howl, and the black shadow behind the woman became blurry.
