Atticus's POV
Hell. We really screwed up by telling Ted that Garcia had dodged our question, and now we can't even visit her.
The main library downstairs is open to all Pack members, and showing up there to see Garcia would alert our Mother to our growing interest in her.
"Have you three completely lost your minds?" Livia snaps the second the Alpha office door clicks shut. We all understand she doesn't want an actual response - this is her way of preparing to tear us apart.
"She doesn't owe you any answers, Ted. You're not her commanding officer, and more importantly, she holds the rank of Squad Captain." Livia settles into the leather armchair, and we catch Ted's frustrated muttering under his breath.
