Jasmin's POV
Alpha Elliott's jaw tightened the second he spotted me across the clearing. The cheek I'd struck yesterday still carried a faint bruise, and his stare could have melted steel.
Damn it.
He took a step back, his face contorting with rage like he was looking at his worst nightmare.
"Are you completely blind, you little piece of trash?" he hissed, his voice deadly quiet as he marched toward me with violence in his eyes. The entire clearing went silent. Every Alpha stopped eating, stopped talking. All attention turned our way.
"Think you're some kind of hero because I didn't rip your throat out after you hit me?" He seized my collar, jerking me closer. Several Alphas around us perked up with anticipation, quietly egging him on as if they were waiting for a bloodbath, preferably mine.
