Luanna's POV:
For the umpteenth time, someone was moving me and waking me from my deep sleep.
"Get up," someone said, shaking me. I suspected it was one of the guys.
"Get lost," I mumbled, wriggling away.
"Get up, quickly! We're the only ones left on the plane!" Jake yelled.
I snapped my eyes open and turned to him. I felt even worse now than before. I wanted to sleep even more. Clinging to his outstretched hand, I struggled to my feet, and leaning on him with my bag, we slowly walked out of the plane. As far as I could tell, everyone else was already waiting outside.
I won't deny that I felt bad. I felt weak and sick, but I kept walking, enduring it. Approaching our waiting friends, I noticed that almost all of them were alert. El and Beth were bursting with energy, the guys looked a little worn out except for Louis and Harry, and Niall was having trouble standing, leaning against a lamp post by the roadside.
A taxi pulled up to us, and I didn't even care where we were going. I was focused on not throwing up in the car. I don't know how much time passed or where we were, I just walked alongside Jake. We were given keys to two apartments. One fit four people, where both couples would live, and in the other, the rest of us—six people—would live. Just my luck. Four days alone with five messy, lazy boys.
I was led up to the room, and the moment I saw the bottles of water placed on the table, I snatched one. Drinking it made me feel better, but not great. I collapsed onto the sofa, and incredibly, I was asleep within a minute.
^ Later ^
"Luanna, are you really..."
"Yes, I'm fine," I sighed heavily. "Just give me some food."
"We can't. Not until dinner," Liam explained like a father.
"Why? I mean, you guys bought so much food, and you can't give me any?" I snapped.
"It's just junk food, and about an hour ago you were running around the house like a zombie begging for water and threatening to throw up?" Josh even shuddered at his own words.
"But I didn't throw up," I retorted. "Just give it to me, or I'll get it myself."
"No, you don't need junk food," Jake said, and lifted all the bags onto the highest closet, where I definitely couldn't reach them.
"Then at dinner, I'll eat everything that's unhealthy," I said angrily. "Everything."
"Then we'll bring dinner here, and you'll stay in the room," Liam crossed his arms.
I thought about what to do. Dinner would be in twenty minutes, so I could try to escape. I had nothing to lose.
"Oh, look, Zayn is back!" I pointed to the balcony, where he was still on the phone.
Everyone looked there, and as fast as I could, I bolted outside. I was only in socks and was slipping badly, but it didn't matter. You could say that the moment I slipped out the door, I thought I was free, but I crashed into something. Harry and Louis decided to show up at the worst time. Losing my balance, I sprawled onto the floor. I quickly started to get up while they looked at me confused.
"Move, you idiots!" I almost yelled, pushing past them.
"Stop her!" Jake shouted, and of course, they listened to him. They grabbed me by the arms, but from my attempts to escape, I fell to the floor. Then the others showed up. I realized I definitely wouldn't be leaving the room now. Niall picked me up and started dragging me back into the room.
"Come on, Niall, we can make a deal," I tried to sweet-talk. "You know how much I want to eat. Niall," I whined.
"Niall, don't give in to her," Jake mumbled, picking me up and carrying me into the room. He laid me on the sofa and tied me up with sheets. That's right. Tied me up.
"Guys, I can't move," I pretended, hoping they would leave sooner.
"That's great! We're going to eat. Wait a bit, and we'll bring something for you," Jake smiled sweetly at me, and they all left, leaving me alone.
I already thought everything had worked out perfectly, but I heard the door locking. The smile instantly faded from my face. I freed myself and considered how to easily reach those bags. I couldn't figure out how they managed to reach so high up there. The small table was decorative, so it was too small. The only solution was the chair, but it swiveled. Pushing it up to the closet, I slowly and carefully climbed onto it. I shook a few times and almost fell, but eventually, I succeeded. I threw the bags down from the closet and then climbed off the chair slowly and carefully.
Grabbing the food, I sat on the sofa and turned on the TV. Ripping open the first packet I saw, I started eating without even looking. I flipped through the channels, looking for something good to watch, not focusing on anything else. Not even what I was eating, but I assumed it was chips. I immediately felt better.
Half an hour later, I had emptied almost the entire bottle of Coke and a third of the other food. Seriously, what were they doing for so long? Just as I thought that, I heard voices outside the door and heard it unlocking.
"We're back! You can eat now!" Liam shouted. When they walked in and saw me, they gasped. Probably because of the empty packets on the floor.
"Oops?" I giggled.
"Toss me a drink," Niall asked, and I did. He easily caught the Coke and took a drink. The guys looked at him strangely. "What? She started it all," he replied simply, taking a few more gulps and tossing the drink back to me.
"Well, you guys wouldn't let me go, so I decided to have dinner myself," I shrugged.
"How did you even reach that?" Josh asked. "The table is too small, and the chair is broken."
"Broken?" I clarified, and he pointed out where several screws were missing and how it wobbled. "So that's why it was wobbling so much," I said to myself, and their eyes widened even more. "And now can I leave the room? I already ate anyway."
"Fine," Jake sighed.
I quickly got up from my spot, grabbed my headphones, wallet, and phone. "Where are you even going?" I didn't answer and rushed out. I decided to get revenge on Harry and Louis for holding me back, but for that, I would need them to be asleep. Until then, I'd have some fun.
It's a shame this isn't Ohio. They already know me there, but what can I say. I like meeting new people. I walked down the main street, looking for some kind of club. It was strange that it was almost eight-thirty, and it was still light. But the sun was already setting.
I saw a club where music was already playing, and people were lining up to be let in. There was one bouncer standing there, and he was quite nice. When the line ended, he sat down in his chair to rest. Luckily, there was another one. I quickly sat down next to him.
"Hello," I greeted him.
"Hello, what are you doing here?" he looked at me strangely.
"Looking for friends," I answered simply, leaning back in the chair.
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, this is my first time here, and the people I came with are a bit annoying," he laughed. "And you look… normal?" We both started laughing. "I'm Luanna."
"Alan, nice to meet you," he smiled.
"So, do you work here all night?" I asked.
"Only on weekends. Weekdays until two, because I have to go to university," he explained. "And where are you from? What do you do?"
"Well, I used to live in London, but I moved to New York because I go to college there, but we came here for the holidays," we talked until about eleven-thirty. He was a very nice person. I told him a lot about myself, and he told me about himself. We agreed that I would come back around the same time tomorrow, and he would introduce me to his friend and co-worker.
"Is there a store around here that's still open?"
"Yeah, just ten meters down the street. It's open 24/7," he pointed.
"And will they have pink hair dye there?" I grinned.
"They will. What do you need it for?" he was confused.
"Revenge for today," I answered simply.
"Ah... Well, good luck. See you tomorrow," we hugged, and I left.
I bought six packets of bright pink hair dye, specifically for all the guys. All of them. And gloves so I wouldn't have to scrub my hands. I paid for everything and headed back to the hotel with the bag.
Walking through the doors, I saw that there were still people here. I approached the reception desk.
"Hello, the door to my apartment is locked, and I think my friend lost the key, but we'll find it later," I smiled at the woman. "Could you give me an extra one?"
"Of course, what's the number?" she asked politely.
"421," I said, and she handed me the key. "Thank you."
Taking the elevator up to the fourth floor, I went to the door and quietly unlocked it. I found all four of them sleeping here. I took one can of dye, put on the gloves, and first knelt by Harry. I sprayed his hair, then Louis's, and quietly left, leaving a note.
After giving the key back to the receptionist, I went up to my room and did the same to all the remaining guys. Niall was the last one left, and I decided to dye only the tips of his hair because it suited him, he almost agreed to help me, and... there wasn't enough dye left. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day...
