Chapter 28: Past Events

Turles hadn't expected King Vegeta to have such history. Moreover, there seemed to be unknown history between Paragus and King Vegeta. He became greatly interested.

Not just Turles—even Broly and Raditz stared at Paragus with gossip-hungry expressions, eyes full of "Tell us! Tell us! We want to hear!"

Seeing their expressions, Paragus smiled bitterly, then began narrating with nostalgic emotion.

Age 550, a wandering Saiyan group landed on Planet Plant. At that time, the Tuffles still inhabited Planet Plant. For special reasons, the Tuffles accepted the Saiyans, designating an area for Saiyan survival.

Tuffles loved peace. Though physically only half Saiyans' size, they possessed high intelligence and advanced technological civilization. While Saiyans were physically powerful but barbaric and backward, with Tuffle assistance, Saiyans quickly took root on Planet Plant. Their population rapidly recovered. The two species coexisted peacefully for over a century.

Age 700, King Vegeta was born. Shortly after birth, King Vegeta displayed exceptional talent. Before age fifteen, he'd already surpassed his father, defeated the previous Saiyan leader, and claimed the throne.

Young King Vegeta was ambitious. Finally, in Age 720, he launched an invasion war against the Tuffles.

Using Great Ape transformation ability, Saiyans completely exterminated the Tuffles by Age 730. Planet Plant was renamed Planet Vegeta.

After conquering Planet Vegeta, Saiyans absorbed Tuffle technological achievements. But due to Saiyan violence-worshiping culture, few researchers existed among the entire species, causing technological stagnation.

Having already enjoyed technology's conveniences, how could King Vegeta tolerate this? He'd conquered Planet Vegeta for better living, not to continue primitive existence. Especially those Tuffle healing potions—practically "miracle drugs"—which he'd coveted long.

King Vegeta assembled all Saiyans, organized the research division, and proposed the "Saiyan Rise Plan." But responses were minimal. Saiyans prided themselves as warriors—how could they engage in research?

Then young Paragus stepped forward. Attracted by King Vegeta's charisma, he abandoned warrior honor, resolutely joining the research division, choosing to dedicate his life to the Saiyan cause (Turles doubted this)!

Soon, King Vegeta reached cooperation with Frieza. With Frieza's support, the research division quickly stabilized. They reverse-engineered Tuffle healing potions. Saiyans began leaving Planet Vegeta, embarking on the path of conquering planets for Frieza.

Having achieved great merit, Paragus gained King Vegeta's favor, remaining his trusted advisor—until Broly's birth.

Broly's birth was a pleasant surprise for Paragus. But for King Vegeta, undoubtedly a thorn in his side.

Born with 10,000 battle power, Broly shocked everyone. As Saiyan royalty, King Vegeta recalled a royal secret—a terrifying warrior born once every thousand years: the legendary Super Saiyan. This gave King Vegeta unprecedented crisis awareness.

Then, all Saiyans worshipped the legendary warrior—Super Saiyan. They firmly believed under this super warrior's leadership, Saiyans would become universal rulers. Except King Vegeta.

King Vegeta knew Super Saiyan meant not just power but also brutality, cold-bloodedness, and inhumanity. Once Super Saiyan lost rationality, indiscriminate slaughter would commence—enemies and allies alike, no exceptions.

So King Vegeta's first thought upon seeing Broly was immediate execution. He couldn't let Saiyans perish through Broly. Completely forgetting that previously, he'd considered his son Vegeta the future Super Saiyan, even naming him after Planet Vegeta itself.

King Vegeta quickly decided. Ignoring all dissuasion, he directly exiled newborn Broly to the barren Planet Vampa.

What followed, Turles knew well. Furious Paragus chased Broly's ship all the way to Vampa, ultimately trapped there eighteen years due to fuel exhaustion—until Turles arrived.

Previously, Paragus's feelings toward King Vegeta had been complex. Both attracted by his youthful ambition—abandoning Saiyan warrior honor without hesitation—and extreme hatred after betrayal.

But King Vegeta had died with Planet Vegeta's destruction. Even Vegeta had been thoroughly humiliated. So current Paragus only focused on his career. He'd carry King Vegeta's former ambition and aspirations, leading Saiyans to rise again.

Broly didn't share Paragus's complex emotional entanglement with King Vegeta. He was satisfied with current life. He had a father and a friend!

Raditz hadn't expected Paragus to have such history. But King Vegeta's cold ruthlessness reminded him of Vegeta. Father and son were truly identical in personality.

Only Turles observed coldly from the side, watching Paragus's performance.

He wasn't simple-minded like Broly or Raditz, who empathized due to Vegeta's oppression.

Regarding Paragus's words, Turles only believed half. Though King Vegeta wasn't a good leader or good person, Paragus definitely wasn't as pure as claimed.

But Turles didn't care. He'd never desired becoming Saiyan King. As long as they provided help—requiring only sufficient personal strength—he was satisfied. So he merely watched Paragus with slight contempt, not exposing him.

Story finished, matters returned to the main topic.

Regarding Paragus wanting to enhance overall Saiyan strength through normal Great Ape transformation, though Turles wasn't optimistic, he still suggested a direction: using medication to guide Saiyan tail mutation, inducing cellular mutation, allowing Great Ape transformation without full moons.

"That's actually a decent idea!" Hearing Turles's suggestion, Paragus considered thoughtfully, affirming the concept.

However, with only four Saiyans currently, this plan could only proceed after obtaining a Saiyan planet and finding sufficient numbers.

Training Room.

Turles sat cross-legged as usual, contemplating his next training direction.

Originally, after obtaining the gravity chamber, he'd planned methodical training under high gravity, continuously improving strength. But this Great Ape experience seemed to reveal a shortcut.

Post-transformation Turles possessed 800,000+ battle power. If he could normalize Great Ape amplification—even integrate it into his body like GT's Super Saiyan 4—even with just 10x power boost.

This way, before meeting Super Saiyan transformation conditions, he'd have a transitional combat power trump card.

But the blood-deep savagery after Great Ape transformation made Turles wary. Originally, he'd thought his dual-soul strength could resist that savagery, maintaining rationality post-transformation. But reality had slapped him hard.

He'd underestimated that power rooted in Saiyan bloodlines. When his consciousness stimulated that power, the instantly erupting force had scattered his mental awareness. Vaguely, he'd even seen a Great Ape roaring at him.

That ape possessed divine-like might. Stars orbited in its hands. The sun seemed obscured by its entire form. Turles's consciousness seemed utterly insignificant before that godlike figure. Just opening its mouth had completely shattered Turles's spirit.

Turles didn't know if what he'd seen was information from Saiyan bloodline depths or just hallucinations from mental submersion. But he didn't dare attempt lightly now. Another attempt—even Turles couldn't guarantee maintaining rationality.

However, Turles could experiment on Raditz. First, though Raditz's battle power had improved greatly under gravity training, due to relatively short time, he'd only just broken through 5,000. Post-transformation would only be 50,000—easily handled by either Turles or Broly.

Second, Raditz's physical talent was objectively superior to Turles's body. So experimenting with Raditz provided comparison. Different experimental data would reference Turles's Great Ape power development.

As for Raditz's opinion—Turles had subconsciously ignored it. As a qualified subordinate, didn't one assist the boss when needed?

This was "when boss has trouble, subordinate serves!"

Currently, under Paragus's brutal training, Raditz—wishing for death—suddenly shivered. He looked around somewhat confused, completely forgetting his current predicament. Paragus's fist directly knocked him to the ground.

"You idiot! Can't even dodge such simple attacks! Two extra hours of training!"

"Nooo!"

The gravity chamber echoed with Paragus's roars and Raditz's continuous pleas for mercy!
