Chapter 29: Red Stone Planet

Obsidian Council.

"Everyone should be familiar with that Saiyan's data by now."

The speaker was a member of the Astral race—over 2 meters tall with translucent deep blue skin constantly flickering with points of light.

Turles's Great Ape rampage had ultimately drawn attention from interested parties, naturally including Obsidian's largest governing body—the Obsidian Council. The speaker was the current Council Chairman—Shavira!

Since Obsidian was protected by the universe's three major factions, its largest governing body was naturally jointly formed by those three powers. The Council Chairman rotated among representatives from each faction. Besides the Chairman, there were two Vice Chairmen—candidates for the next Chairman position. Below them sat dozens of Councilors, either from powerful universal species or representatives of Obsidian's native commercial circles. Together, these people managed Obsidian—this enormous treasure trove!

"Tsk tsk tsk! 850,000 battle power! How many years since we've seen such a powerful individual? Saiyans? Weren't they exterminated by Frieza? How did such a powerhouse suddenly appear?" A Magma race powerhouse emanating sparks exclaimed in wonder.

"Indeed! I remember the last time was over three hundred years ago. That battle nearly destroyed Obsidian. Powerhouses at this level—the slightest movement brings world-ending destruction!" An elderly Shadow Assassin also sighed mysteriously.

"What? Getting scared, old timer?" A Three-Eyed race member with an extra eye on his forehead mocked.

Someone nearby, disliking the Three-Eye's arrogance, spoke sarcastically: "Young man, don't be too hot-blooded!"

The Three-Eye wasn't intimidated, angrily retorting: "If you're not hot-blooded, are you even young? Want to say that again?"

"Try saying it again!"

"Scared? What if I say it again? Going to fight?"

"..." The scene gradually descended into chaos.

The three top officials seated at the head watched the messy scene below expressionlessly, long accustomed to such displays. The Vice Chairman representing the Galactic Patrol spoke to the other two: "Shavira, this Saiyan has already been recruited by your Mercenary Union. What's your plan?"

"Indeed! That Belus fellow has such good luck, recruiting such a powerhouse. Looks like a promotion is in his future!" The Commerce Guild representative quickly chimed in with praise.

Shavira's lips couldn't help curving slightly upward as he smiled: "Rest assured, Belus has already selected a planet. Soon he'll escort that individual off Obsidian. This incident was just an accident—it won't happen again!"

"Really? That's wonderful! I mean—what a pity! We haven't properly befriended this Saiyan yet!"

"Indeed, indeed!"

Seeing their insincere words, Shavira—in a good mood—didn't take offense. He just shook his head, continuing to watch the arguing scene below.

Turles naturally didn't know Obsidian's management was scheming to send him away as quickly as possible. Even if he knew, he wouldn't care—he'd never planned to stay on Obsidian permanently anyway.

Currently, he felt extremely satisfied with Belus's efficiency. Unexpectedly, in such short time, Belus had already selected a planet. They finally had a place to settle.

Red Stone Planet—this was the planet the Mercenary Union had screened for Turles. A young, unclaimed planet located in Galactic Center's western region. Named for its red geological composition, it was one of the life-bearing planets under Mercenary Union jurisdiction.

Looking at the planetary projection, Paragus felt extremely excited. This was a Saiyan planet. His planet. Of course, he didn't dare say that last part aloud.

Turles was also attracted by this beautiful planet. But he remembered his conditions, so he quickly calmed from his initial joy and looked toward Belus.

As Obsidian Mercenary Arena's administrator, Belus naturally possessed excellent observational skills. Just seeing Turles's expression, he already understood his meaning. He nodded lightly, then operated his tablet briefly before handing it to Turles.

Taking the tablet, Turles reviewed the various clauses. After quickly skimming through, he scrolled to the bottom. Seeing the Galactic Mercenary Union's official seal, he nodded with satisfaction, once again expressing gratitude to Belus and acknowledging his capabilities.

After seeing Belus off, Turles's group couldn't wait to begin discussing their departure time for Red Stone Planet. But first, they needed to determine the planet's new name.

Turles and Broly had no opinions on this matter. Only Paragus and Raditz began arguing over the planet's name.

"Planet Paragus!" Paragus spoke first, completely undisguised about his ambition.

"No way!" The objection came not from Turles, but from Raditz—the weakest of the four in battle power!

Seeing Turles hadn't objected yet, Raditz jumped out first. Paragus's furious gaze immediately fixed on Raditz.

Though somewhat frightened internally, Raditz still endured Paragus's rage, firmly opposing the proposal.

Paragus naturally hoped to name it after himself. But this time Raditz showed unusual stubbornness. He didn't even fear Paragus's threat of extra training, determined to resist to the end. This piqued Turles's curiosity.

"Raditz, what's your idea?" Turles asked with interest.

Hearing Turles's question, Raditz straightened his chest, saying matter-of-factly: "Since Turles has the greatest strength among us four Saiyans, naturally the planet should be called Planet Turles!"

Hearing this name, reactions varied. Paragus's expression immediately darkened. Though quickly recovering, even Broly could see his smile was extremely forced.

Turles, however, felt embarrassed enough to want to curl his toes. After glaring fiercely at this troublemaker, he directly rejected Raditz's proposal.

Looking deeply at Paragus, Turles turned his gaze to Broly: "Broly, what do you think?"

Broly hadn't expected Turles to ask him. First stunned, he quickly smiled: "Whatever you decide, Turles! Any name you choose will sound good!"

Hearing Broly's answer, everyone nearly fell over. Paragus felt depressed enough to bang his head against a wall. This son might be beyond help.

Turles knew Broly had always trusted him—his only friend. But he hadn't expected such trust even in this matter. This left Turles both gratified and helpless. Still, being trusted was good—especially by a friend.

Regarding naming rights, Turles had no particular thoughts. Moreover, he disdained competing with Paragus over this. So after leaving Paragus and Raditz to continue discussions, Turles and Broly departed directly.

But until the end, they couldn't agree on a good suggestion. Helplessly, they temporarily shelved the matter, deciding to choose after actually surveying Red Stone Planet. However, departure time was quickly agreed upon—three days hence.

Three days passed in a flash!

After confirming the hyperspace vessel arrangements with Belus once more, Turles took the contact information Belus provided, left Obsidian, and embarked on the journey to Red Stone Planet.

Red Stone Planet wasn't far from Obsidian. In barely a week, their ship reached Red Stone's outer orbit.

Red Stone Planet lived up to its name. From the ship, the entire planet looked like a ruby embedded against black fabric—extraordinarily eye-catching!

"So similar!" Raditz suddenly murmured softly.

Raditz's voice awakened everyone from their daze.

"Similar to what?" Turles asked.

"He means Planet Vegeta. Planet Vegeta was the same—appearing red from space. And its geology was also red. That's why Raditz says it's similar." Paragus explained, his tone carrying some melancholy.

"Really?" Turles's memories contained no impressions of Planet Vegeta. Like Goku, he'd been exiled during infancy.

But he could understand Raditz and Paragus's feelings. After all, that had been their homeworld. Though Saiyan emotions were relatively detached, being able to continue their race on a planet resembling their homeworld was undeniably fortunate.

Collecting himself, Turles ordered the ship to begin landing!

Upon touching ground again, Turles felt some regret. He should have had Belus construct basic infrastructure first. He hadn't expected the planet to be so desolate—no traces of civilization whatsoever. Completely primitive era.

Helplessly, Turles's group had to begin pioneering. Fortunately, their battle power on this planet was at crushing levels. Various fierce beasts only provided extra meals. So within two days, they'd built a camp. And Turles began training to master Great Ape power.
