Chapter 76 - Chapter 76 The Real Fight

Odis knew perfectly well that the man in front of him, Chibman, was one of the leaders of the fighting organization that Simon had mentioned earlier.

Simon had only vaguely learned about the fighting organization, but Odis had known about its existence for a long time and was very clear about how they recruited new members.

Generally, if a player defeats one of their organization's members, they will first try to win them over; only if that fails will they retaliate.

Odis also knew the general strength of the organization; there were three leaders in total, two of whom were Sequence 7 and one was Sequence 8. Chibman was the Sequence 8 leader.

As for the other members, they were basically all like Eden.

After hearing Odis's sarcastic remark, Chibman sneered and turned to leave.

At this moment, the waiter brought Odis's payment, and the middle-aged man who looked like a steward reminded him: "You should take the carriage and leave as soon as possible, and don't go out unless necessary."

"Thank you," Odis said casually. "I was just looking for an opponent I could really fight."

He portrayed Lelouch as somewhat arrogant and fond of challenges.

After collecting his £260 reward, Simon, who was already sweating profusely with anxiety, quickly hailed a horse-drawn carriage, got in, and left.

In the carriage, Odis gave Simon 31 pounds: "26 pounds of it is the reward I promised you before, and the other 5 pounds is for you to continue to gather information for me."

Simon took the money but said, "Just now... just now you offended Chibman, what if he sends someone to attack us?"

"Yes." Odis looked back. "We're being followed."

Simon became increasingly nervous.

Odis seemed to have anticipated this. He checked his pistol and cane and instructed Simon, "Go to any church and pray for half an hour. See if anyone is still following you."

"If anyone presses you for my whereabouts, just tell them I live at 176 River Bend Avenue."

Simon was stunned: "There...that is..."

"That's one of my bases," Odis said calmly. "If you reveal the address of Gar Herbalist's Shop and 77 Hailin Avenue, the consequences will be severe."

Simon thought of his bar and his daughter, and immediately said, "I understand."

Odis nodded, and finally instructed, "Make it as realistic as possible."

"Also, if their people come to you a second time, you don't need to be polite to them."

After saying that, he put away his pistol, picked up his cane, and jumped off the carriage.

Odis did not fall due to the carriage's speed; he quickly walked into a small alley.

A carriage following behind also stopped, and two men got off and immediately followed.

When Odis reached the middle of the alley, two carriages stopped ahead. Chibman, whom he had just met, got off one of the carriages, took off his hat, and shouted, "We meet again!"

"Yes," Odis laughed. "You still look like a decent opponent."

There were a few small doors that were open in the alley, but the people inside quickly closed them after seeing this.

There were two or three other pedestrians in the alley, so they had to stand close to the wall and wait for Odis to pass before quickly leaving.

Chibman took off his trench coat again and threw it to his assistant behind him: "Kid, I'll show you what real fighting is."

As he spoke, he rushed toward Odis.

Odis put his cane aside and rushed toward Chibman.

Upon getting close, Chibman suddenly jumped up and threw a punch. Odis immediately saw the opening and kicked him in the stomach.

Chibman smiled and, surprisingly, half-turned in mid-air to avoid Odis's kick, then swung out his elbow, striking Odis's temple accurately despite his back being turned.

The opening in his lower abdomen was deliberately exposed to Odis in order to lure Odis into attacking the trap there.

Although Odis was on one leg, he suddenly turned around to dodge Chibman's elbow strike and used his shoulder to push Chibman away.

"Kao" is a very powerful move in Bajiquan. It involves suddenly leaning towards the opponent and easily knocking them down.

At this moment, Odis exerted a sudden burst of force, enough to make Chibman slam hard into the wall.

But Chibman reacted quickly, sticking out one foot to push off the wall and landing steadily!

The two faced each other again and smiled once more.

This is the opponent Odis has been looking for!

The people who came with Chibman watched the two fight with bated breath. The series of movements between the two had only happened in the blink of an eye, but they were very exciting. These people who were proficient in martial arts felt as if they had witnessed a battle between masters.

At the same time, they realized that Lelouch had not used his full strength in his previous fight with Eden.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

Then Odis and Chibman sparred again, and the two continued to fight with speed. Odis brought out the techniques of leaning, thrusting, and colliding from Bajiquan to the fullest extent.

Chibman also fought back with all his might, and for a time they were evenly matched.

Three or four minutes later they separated again, looking at each other with slight breathlessness, preparing for the next round of battle.

Suddenly, Chibman spoke up: "Join us."

Odis shook her head again: "I like being free."

At this moment, two of Chibman's men behind Odis drew their daggers and stepped forward, preparing to attack Odis.

Odis sensed something was amiss and laughed heartily, "That's enough for today, let's fight another day."

As he spoke, he suddenly stepped back, grabbed his cane, and charged in the opposite direction from Chibman.

The two men who had drawn their daggers raised them to block.

Odis did not dodge, but suddenly raised his cane. The two men holding daggers involuntarily tilted their hands, and the two daggers were "stuck" to Odis's cane!

Odis shoved one of the men aside and ran toward the end of the alley.

Chibman glared at his two subordinates wielding daggers, but quickly led his men after them, shouting, "Don't run! If you don't join us today, the next person leading the search for you won't be me! And they'll kill you!"

Odis, who was running ahead, understood that the other party meant to remind and advise him, and waved his hand without turning his head.

Once on the street, Odis nimbly climbed onto a speeding carriage. Chibman quickly ordered some of his men to continue the chase, while others drove the carriage or found a taxi to catch up.

Because of this delay, they had already grown quite far apart.

Odis stopped in front of a department store, went in through the bustling front door, and came out through the back door.

He glanced at a corner of the parking lot where several carriages bearing noble crests were parked. Taking advantage of one of the drivers smoking, he rushed over and quietly boarded one of the carriages.

The nobleman's carriage was spacious and had a faint scent of perfume. There was a large storage space under the seat, containing some supplies and drinks, and enough for a person to hide inside.

Odis hid inside and closed the sliding door.

After waiting a few minutes, he heard someone get into the carriage, and a sweet voice asked, "Susie, what's wrong?"
