In a large room of the Stormwind Royal castle made into a workshop with multiple different machineries and tools along with a large table that had multiple Data-slates on it.
A tall, handsome and heroic looking young man with a toned and muscular body was working on a cylinder shape machine before he puts his right hand on it as his indigo eyes glow a light blue.
This was Alastor, biologically he was now 7 yet due to his accelerated growth he looked 16 instead.
Using his technopathy once again to "communicate" and see it's inner workings once again he nodded and pressed the terminal as the machinery hummed and activated.
Alastor smiled in satisfaction and with another liberal use of his technopathy accessed his data slate without touching it to instantly feed it the necessary information.
"I'm getting better at this....."
"Alastor!" A voice called out and in the workshop came Varian who also grew more and now looked like a grown man, a handsome, strong and charismatic man fit to become the next King.
"Little brother I worry that you're overworking yourself at this point"
Alastor only grinned at his older brother with a boyish smile as he put down his tools. "You worry too much Varian, I'm not even out of breath"
Varian sighed as he looked at the now ancient working machine. "You fixed the matter recycler this soon?"
Alastor nodded proudly and patted it. "Yup and even compiled the blueprints and corresponding knowledge on my data slate"
"The Guild is gonna be busy once again due to you Forgemaster" Varian gave his little brother a amused look as Alastor's grin faltered.
It had only been 2 years since Alastor joined the Stormwind Science Guild as a Researcher and Forger while also studying other fields as well.
Yet not long ago he was promoted to become the youngest Forgemaster in Azeroth's history especially with how he was pioneering not only new research avenues but also re-discovering ancient technologies and lost Knowledge.
This matter recycler is not the only ancient tech he re-discovered not long ago he had also re-discovered Atmospheric Water Condensers or as he called them "Air Wells".
Alastor leveraged his Technopathy to "communicate" and scan these old inactive constructs filling in the blanks of lost knowledge and also making detailed blue prints while fixing them.
Each time he made a discovery or thesis it would make a huge splash in the Science guild as the members would rush to study it and implement it with others seeing if the knowledge could also be applied elsewhere.
Suffice to say the members of the Stormwind Guild were ecstatic with their youngest Forgemaster and even the Guild head took great pleasure in how the other human Kingdom's Science Guilds as well as Dwarves and Gnomes would try to negotiate for the technology by deliberately humbling themselves and flattering them.
"Why did you have to bring that up" Alastor groaned honestly he didn't see it as a big deal he was just re-discovering old technologies he naturally considered it his duty as a prince to contribute to the development of the kingdom.
'This idiotic humble boy....' Varian smiled exasperatedly at his brilliant younger brother.
Any other person in his position might have felt envious especially since Alastor was not his blood sibling but Varian never saw Alastor as nothing more than this little brother and trusted friend.
In this point he and his father were similar, neither Llane or Varian compared themselves to others instead thriving for personal excellence in the benefit for their loved ones.
If a loved one was better at something than them they instead of envious were always happy for them especially if it was family.
And that was what Alastor was; Family.
"You should take pride in your skills brother, you can become the youngest Guild head in a few years, become the kingdom's new Knight champion succeeding uncle Anduin or even a legendary Archmage. The Kingdom is proud to have you."
"Haha maybe wouldn't that be a sight. The Great King of Stormwind Varian Wrynn and beside him the legendary Knight Champion Alastor Wrynn! it would be like Father and uncle all over again"
Both brothers smiled at the image of the future.
"Not to mention I will be the more handsome and likable brother"
"First finish growing up little brother"
"Now that is not fair Varian you wouldn't be saying that in a few more years!"
After a few minutes of ribbing, Varian finally remembers why he came looking for Alastor. "Brother, father has summoned you to the throne room to meet an important guest"
*Who is it?* Alastor asked as he followed Varian out of the workshop to his bed chambers so he can take a bath and clean up properly.
"Archmage Antonidas"
"The Grand Magus of the Kirin Tor!" Alastor's eyes widened as he heard the most powerful Archmage and leader of the magnocracy of Dalaran was here.
Antonidas was the strongest and wisest male mage alive as well as the Leader of Dalaran: The magical focal point of arcane mastery in Azeroth perhaps only rivalled by the High Elves in Silvermoon city.
Dalaran was the smallest "Kingdom" but it's value could not be underestimated at all, it had trained the most amount of human mages and a vast majority of the strongest mages in the world had trained in Dalaran.
It not only catered to humans but other races also visited the floating academic city as well to seek knowledge excluding Beastkin, Dark Mages and Orks though.
It's ruling council were the Council of Six composed of 6 Archmages, the highest rank of a arcane practitioner and currently headed by Antonidas.
Alastor took a bath and changed into formal but comfortable royal clothes bearing the colours of Stormwind and House Wrynn. Blue with yellow accents before joining Varian as they made their way to the throne room.
The two Royal Knights bowed to the approaching princes and stepped aside as they opened the massive doors and allowed Alastor and Varian inside the throne room.
Inside King Llane and Queen Taria were in discussion with a white haired old man with a long beard dressed in purple mage robes with yellow accents.
Varian approached first and bowed respectfully to his parents and then Antonidas. "Father, mother I have brought brother just as you requested"
Taria smiled at her eldest while her husband gave him a nod. "Thank you Varian" Varian gave a nod in return and settled himself beside them as Alastor also approached.
Alastor repeated the same proceeded and bowed to his parents first and then Antonidas "Greetings to you Archmage Antonidas it is a pleasure. Father, mother you had you summoned me?"
Antonidas gave Alastor a small smile and Llane nodded at Alastor's enquiry. "Indeed my son, you see your mother and I have been talking and seeing how your studies in the arcane have waned due to Stormwind's insufficient magical foundation we decided it would be best for you to study in Dalaran"
Alastor almost flinched at what his father said and wanted to retort that there was no need but Llane was right, while Stormwind had powerful military and significant Science Guild it was truly lacking when it came to powerful Mages aside from Court Mage Frederick but his own duties meant he had little time to properly train Alastor.
Due to this unlike all his other studies and fields of training his Psionics and arcane training has notably waned.
He could use Psionics to manifest basic abilities with sufficient skill like telekinesis, telepathy, levitation and Shields to name a few.
But if he even tried to just use pure Psionics to slow particles to cool and freeze the air to make frost, manipulating it was a whole thing altogether!
It made Alastor realize just how much work and research goes into perfecting "spells" and techniques and since his own knowledge in the field of Psionics was lacking and cause of that he wasn't able to make full use of his mind and abilities.
He quickly understood that he would need practical references to build upon if he wants to use Psionics more comfortably like his Technopathy, and magic was the best way or rather the best reference.
Not only would it give him training on the magical arts but also help train and master his Psionics and how far he could grow them.
Antonidas looked intrigued at Alastor, he had heard of the prodigal second son of the Wrynn but seeing him and what he felt from his aura he was realizing how the rumours didn't do the boy justice.
"It's a pleasure to meet Stormwind's rising legend myself" Alastor looked at Antonidas confused. "Haha lad don't tell me you aren't aware of your own fame throughout Arda?"
