Veronica's POV
"Absolutely not!"
I shot him down without hesitation, scrambling to climb down from the rock, but Leonardo's hand caught my arm.
"Hold on! Let me call my guys."
Leonardo pulled out his phone to contact Aarav and his crew, but I'd already speed-dialed Ryan.
A short while later, a sleek silver sports car came racing toward us, tires squealing as it pulled up right in front of where we stood.
Ryan had tracked my location, and when he arrived, he spotted me standing beside the road with Leonardo.
The car jerked to a stop, and Leonardo's eyes narrowed at the unfamiliar license plate. This definitely wasn't one of his vehicles.
Who the hell was this?
I'd already hopped off the rock and was making a beeline for the car.
"Veronica, wait—"
I picked up my pace, not giving him a second to catch up. All I wanted was to put as much distance as possible between myself and this insufferable man.
"Back off! Don't even think about following me! I'm serious!"
