Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 What a waste of vibranium

After some discussion, everyone gradually reached a consensus: Thor's self-exile and the search for Odin, two completely undeterminable options, could temporarily be ruled out.

Of course, the analysis during the exclusion process was not entirely rigorous.

But that didn't matter; they were answering questions, and they only needed a reasonably sound basis to help them screen and judge, not necessarily 100% accuracy.

After all, it wasn't scientific research.

"So, after going in circles for so long, we're back to the original question," Nick Fury said, shrugging.

"Is it the 'sunny' version C, where Thor helps Earth fight against Loki, or the 'dark' version B, where Thor and Loki's brotherly rivalry affects Earth?"

"Romanoff, Stark, if it were the two of you, what would you choose?" Nick Fury then turned his gaze to the other two, seeking their opinions.

"If it were me, I'd choose C, sir. Thor was trying to stop Loki's schemes," Black Widow replied to Nick Fury after a moment of thought.

"My answer exactly! Agent, I think we'll get along great," Iron Man interjected, teasing Black Widow again.

"So you're sure you don't want to grab a drink with me after the quiz?"

"I wouldn't mind, but I wonder if Ms. Potts would," Black Widow said, raising an eyebrow at Iron Man, playfully mocking him.

During the Battle of New York, Iron Man thought of contacting Pepper even when facing a life-threatening crisis; anyone who wasn't blind could see their relationship.

Especially a seasoned agent like Black Widow.

"Never mind, it seems we don't get along so well when we're not answering questions," Iron Man shrugged.

"Stark, can you explain your reason for choosing C?" Nick Fury asked, looking at Iron Man with his single eye.

"Didn't I say it before? Thor most likely participated in the End Game; he's probably our comrade!"

"And that dark story of the Asgardian princes' infighting? That's just Agent Romanoff's imagination!"

Iron Man gave his reason.

In fact, after some deliberation, Nick Fury thought pretty much the same as Iron Man.

Although Black Widow's conjecture somewhat aligned with the facts and even filled in some gaps, it ultimately lacked any other corroborating evidence.

However, the fact that Thor appeared multiple times in the options was undeniable.

"I choose..."

"Wait a minute, Nick Fury!" Just as Nick Fury was about to give his answer, Iron Man suddenly interrupted him.

"What is it, Stark?" Nick Fury looked at Iron Man with his curious single eye.

"Before we answer, let's discuss the answering order," Iron Man replied to Nick Fury without ceremony.

"Although answering carries some risk, if you answer correctly, you also get great benefits, and everyone wants those benefits, right?"

"So... it's better to agree on an answering order; otherwise, it'll be chaos if we just rush to answer."

"Makes sense," Nick Fury nodded. "So, how about the three of us take turns answering?"

"I have no objections, Stark, what about you?" Black Widow looked at Iron Man.

"Very fair. We can discuss the order for a second attempt if someone fails later," Iron Man also nodded in agreement.

"Nick Fury and I have already answered, so according to the order, it should be the Agent's turn this time."

"Sir, you answer for me," Black Widow said, however.

She considered that she had already obtained a Colt with infinite bullets, so that suit...

She would leave it for her superior.

"I choose C, to stop Loki's schemes!" Nick Fury didn't stand on ceremony with Black Widow and directly gave his answer to the system.

"Correct answer!"

The system's voice immediately sounded, which made Nick Fury let out a long sigh of relief.

Although Nick Fury had been injected with a life-extending serum, losing a year of his lifespan still stung quite a bit.

After all, no one wants to die early, right?

"This time it must be right. It seems Thor is indeed our future comrade," Iron Man said from the side.

"And possibly, like us, a member of the Avengers!" Black Widow added.

The scenes of the Battle of New York had made it very clear that Iron Man was a member of the Avengers, without a doubt.

Then the other two, Captain America and Thor, who had only been glimpsed, were most likely also members.

After all, the news spoke of a "response team," and Iron Man alone couldn't be called a team.

Not only that, given Iron Man's arrogance, he would definitely not join an ordinary "team"; the other members of that "team" should be on par with Iron Man.

Captain America and Thor were both very likely candidates.

Nick Fury also made a silent decision in his heart: if he ever found Thor, he would extend an invitation to him.

"Congratulations to answerer Nick Fury for receiving one Black Panther nano-suit."

"Reward has been issued, please check!"

With this system prompt, a collar immediately appeared in Nick Fury's hand.

The collar looked unremarkable, just a "decoration" with three panther teeth hanging from it; at first glance, there was nothing special about it.

But at the same time, information about the Black Panther suit appeared in Nick Fury's mind, making his single eye flash with light.

This thing was a good item!

"Nano-suit?"

Iron Man examined Nick Fury's collar and immediately noticed something. "Those nanoparticles are miniaturized within those teeth, right?"

Black Widow said nothing, also looking at the collar in Nick Fury's hand with great curiosity.

Then, Nick Fury directly put the collar around his neck and placed a spherical controller behind his ear.

His mind immediately became linked to the Black Panther suit.

Next, with a thought from Nick Fury, the nanoparticles immediately "crawled" out from the panther teeth, quickly forming a black, tight-fitting suit.

Even his head was armored.

And this entire process was incredibly swift and smooth, almost perfect.

"Romanoff, shoot me twice," Nick Fury said to Black Widow.

"Sir?" Black Widow asked for confirmation.

"It's fine, Romanoff. This suit is made of Vibranium, the same material as Captain America's shield," Nick Fury explained to Black Widow.

Vibranium!

Iron Man exclaimed, "Good heavens, this suit is too extravagant, isn't it?"

"It's just for bulletproofing; do you really need to waste Vibranium?"
