*Time Skip – Later That Day, Night*

In the human world, the city lights flickered low, neon signs reflecting off wet pavement. The IDOLs and Alpha Boys had gathered at Lorenzo's loft for his birthday. Laughter, clinking glasses, and a low‑bass beat filled the space. Bottles emptied, songs grew louder, and the night deepened.

*Han,* feeling the buzz of alcohol and the ache of lingering memories, slipped out onto the balcony. He splashed cold water from a plastic bottle onto his face, trying to clear his head. The night air was sharp, carrying distant sirens and the hum of traffic.

A scream ripped through the silence, sharp and desperate, echoing from a narrow alley a few blocks away.

Instinct snapped. Han's veins surged with vampire speed; he vanished from the balcony and materialized in the dim alley in a blink.

*What he saw froze him:*

A figure cloaked in darkness, black aura rippling, hunched over a woman whose throat was torn open. Blood pooled on the cracked concrete. The figure's eyes were black as midnight—Taejoon, but Han didn't recognize him.

"Hey, stop that!" Han shouted, lunging forward, grabbing the vampire's shoulder.

Taejoon's hand snapped away, not turning, continuing to drink the woman's lifeblood. Han reached again, desperate, and this time his eyes flared yellow—his werewolf strength igniting. He slammed both hands onto Taejoon's shoulders.

The woman's body fell limp, unconscious, her eyes vacant.

Taejoon, needing to break Han's grip, twisted and delivered a brutal back‑kick to Han's stomach. The force sent Han flying, crashing into a parked car, his back slamming against the metal. He hit the ground, growling in pain, ribs bruised, breath ragged.

Without a word, Taejoon vanished in a flash of vampire speed, disappearing into the night, his dark aura swallowing the shadows, ensuring Han never saw his face.

Han lay there, the cold concrete biting his skin, the scent of blood and gasoline mixing in the air, his mind racing—who was that monster?
