Annabelle's Pov:
After Cassian left, the house surprisingly became cold. Everyone was still there, the butler, the head maid, and the rest of them. They were all there, but I felt cold.
I had returned to my room and began packing up again. Once I was done and the butler sent people to take them to the Cassian's room, I sat on the bed staring at my phone, going through the trending news online.
As I suspected, the events at the Marudas banquet were all over the news. My engagement to Cassian had an entire section on its own, and it was the second on the list.
But surprisingly, there were no pictures. There were only written articles and speculations but no pictures to prove it.
"Ha," I laughed.
It was no wonder there were no pictures of Cassian anywhere. He made sure there were none. He must have known about the buzz online and shut it all down without even telling me.
