Soon sailing across the open sea in Lensfer's boat everyone is having fun, enjoying the blue sea across their eyes and telling stories amongst each other almost having a laugh once and a while. But they notice someone is missing on top of the main deck.
"Hey where Max?" Lensfer asked "Oh he's downstairs" Rayn answered "still hating the sea" "you want me to go get him?" "No its fine, he probably cooking just to ease his mind."
Max doesn't like the sea considering of the many sea creatures live in the ocean especially jellyfish, and stingrays, four years ago at the beach Max was swimming with his friends until suddenly he was once stung by a jellyfish by accident causing him to be bedridden for a week, then when he was fourteen years old a stingray came to shore him and Rayn tried to inspect the stingray to see if it was dead but Max got a little to close and it stung him, ever since those traumatic events he never got closer to the sea only keeping himself at a safe distance. However, Max can always eases his mind by cooking for the group as he always did since he was eight years old, and since that he's not a big fan of going out to seas he tries to avoid going onto field trips or if his friends request to go a trip that requires to go onto a ferry towards another place or island, but while Max was cooking he is more likely to cook his favorite dish and also other dishes for everyone to eat. Sarah approached Max to seeing how he's doing, and sees Max getting nervous by the presence of Sarah trying to hide his feeling for her since they met during grade 2 in their school years, but it Sarah notice this immediately and slowly walks towards Max and has a chat with him.
"I know that feeling Max" Max was shocked with the question "I-I didn't know wh-what your talking about", as Sarah is getting fond of Max being emotional, and knows him too well "hehe this is why I like you. Why everyone's like you... You always the supportive type of guy who is willing to help your friends in need" Max gave out a chuckle "hmm, well I guess it comes with hidden feelings for someone" "yeah I mean you don't need to treat me different like the others just because we were childhood friends I still prefer if I was treated as a friend." Max chuckled again "always explaining your reasons."
They were both properly getting close to each other Ray comes in asking Max "is dinner almost ready" and gets hit by a rolling pin by Sarah's embarrassment "owww" "Rayn, are you okay?" Max quickly coming to his best friend's aid "ow... yup, I've been through worse" "okay phew, anyway dinner is almost ready, can you tell that to Lensfer, and Annie, bud" "you got it buddy" Rayn went to get the others. But Max couldn't help but laugh at how embarrassed Sarah looked after Ray almost caught them when they're about to kiss. Sarah punches Max on the arm for a laugh but could give a little giggle after what happened. Ray had finally got the rest of the gang to come and have dinner and awaited to arrive to the island.
However suddenly their dinner was cut short that the boat begins to stall Lensfer notice this on his boat and the first to leave before finishing his dinner then starts heading towards the engine in order to begin investigating the situation. Max and Rayn also went up to the deck to see if Lensfer need help, "hey Lensfer what happened" "its only the engine stalling just give me a minute. I just turned off the boat and I'll get it working" Lensfer begins put on a diving suit then diving down to clean the propeller. Minutes gone by and Lensfer isn't finished cleaning the propeller and suddenly Max starts to feel a bit queasy after being above deck for only a few minutes and goes towards the side of the deck to hurl.
"Hey bud are you feeling alright?" Rayn quick to aid his best friend "Yeah I'm okay, just not feeling the air right now."
Max takes a good look at the ocean floor before he hurls but sees something quash his that frightens him the most. Stingray swimming over an army of spider crabs "oh that's just perfect. Its spider crab migration" suddenly Lensfer swims towards the surface "hey check it. Its spider crab migrate doesn't look great" "did you at least fixed the propeller" "I did manage to clean the propeller" "so can we leave now?" "Well not right now. I still need to do a bit of maintenance check up. So why not enjoy the scenery" Lensfer soon leave the two and goes downstairs to do a checkup in the boat. Rayn is taking a good look at the ocean floor of the stingrays and the migration of spider crabs, but Max is doing everything in his strength not to look down "still afraid of stingrays bud" "well yes actually" "Max that was six years ago" "yeah, and that sting hurt like hell Rayn".
Rayn knowing that this conversation is going to end very badly with Max, he decided if Max's spirit needed to be lifted then he needs only one activity to do. Rayn soon pulls out two fishing rod for Max and for himself. "Rayn, where did you get those fishing rods?" he asked "I found it in Lensfer's storage room, and I thought if we can catch fish together" Max cocked an eye brow at Rayn. "Rayn we don't even have fishing licenses" "but Lensfer does have one" "Rayn, even if we're being supervised by Lensfer, we still need to get our own license" Rayn sighs in disappointment that they cannot fish without a license decided to puts away the fishing rods back where he found them while Rayn is downstairs going to the storage room. Max is still looking glum towards the ocean looking downward at the stingrays still giving him a fright, even though he has started to get comfortable around the ocean but still keeping a distance away from its aquatic creatures.
Suddenly Max sees someone heading towards the ship he tires to take a closer look as a black-fin tuna bursts out of the water gaining great distance and heading towards Max.
"oh crud!" Max quickly tries to avoid getting hit by the tuna, but was hit anyways despite his efforts, Rayn soon came by after putting the equipment away and sees Max with a black-fin tuna on him. "Hey, what happened to can't fish without a license" Max groaned in annoyance "Rayn this fish just flew on its own" as soon Max gets the fish off him it dies immediately "well you can't let a good fish go to waste. How about you cook it" "Rayn didn't everybody already ate. And also are you sure this is safe to eat" "you'll never know if you try".
Suddenly Max sees pieces of crystals spilling out of the fish's mouth, and scales "hey Max what is it" "it looks like shattered crystal" Rayn tries to take a close inspection at the shattered crystal piece "Rayn wait" Max stopped him before he could do anything, then they both see the shattered piece of crystal moving towards each other reforming back into one crystal and starts to glow profusely. Max and Rayn were amazed and stunned by this event, but suddenly Sarah came by "Max, Rayn, Lensfer needs your help" both were shocked and Max had to react quickly picking up the crystal and storing it into his pocket "s-so what did Lensfer need our help for" "he needs you both at the engine room... is that a black-fin tuna?" "Yes, Max manage to catch a black-fin tuna out of nowhere" "Max caught it without a fishing license?"
Max soon whisper to Rayn "Rayn what are you doing" Rayn whispers back to Max "just follow my lead" Rayn then picks up the black-fin tuna and give it to Max "Max could cook it" "Rayn I don't think this is edible yet" "well isn't that a shame. I guess we'll just have to return it back where we found it" Rayn then grabs the black fin tuna from Max before winking at him, and throws it back to the sea, then gives a thumbs up for the success. Sarah then soon leave the two back inside the boat as both look at each other feeling awkward of the situation Max puts the black-fin tuna into a nearby freezer to store it, then decided to assist Lensfer to help with the engine "hey Lensfer you needed our help" "oh good, yes I do" Lensfer then explain to Max and Rayn that the engine is jammed that it has chunks inside that Lensfer cannot reach, then Lensfer leaves the two as to watch if anything happens to the engine, and he is soon to gather his tools to fix the engine.
As Lensfer leaves, as a bright glow soon to be resonating inside of Max's pocket, Max notice this and brings it out, to take a look at the crystal glowing brightly "hey Max what it is doing" "I don't know, but check it out" Max slowly moves the crystal away from the engine, and the glow starts to diminish, but when Max moves the crystal towards the engine it glows bright again "I wonder" Max thinks to himself. As he placed the crystal onto the engine and suddenly pieces of crystals inside the engine started moving towards the price of crystal that Max placed, and causing the crystals to form a bigger crystal big enough to fit in his palm.
"Well that... how should I say this... unique, Max what was that" "I'm not sure it happened with the tuna, and I'm not sure what are its limits?" Suddenly they both hear footsteps coming from above the deck, and realize that Lensfer is coming, quickly Max reacted stuffing the crystal back into his pocket "Max, Rayn I'm back with the tools" Max and Rayn looking back towards Lensfer "oh good, you two are ready to get to work". As Lensfer was about to work on fixing the engine suddenly with one touch the engine started to ignition working perfectly "the heck?" "Is there anything wrong Lensfer" "the engine. It's fixed?" Lensfer then leaves the engine room feeling a bit disappointed, and shortly Max, and Ryan followed back to the upper deck. Lensfer ignited the boat's engines and they all begun to set off back course towards the island to witness the crystals.
