The cave was a scene of chaos.
Jay had just struck down the demon, his hands trembling with fury and exhaustion. Blood and debris littered the ground. Even as he collapsed, he yelled with unwavering defiance:
"You can hurt me as much as you want… I don't care! But if you lay a hand on my friend, I swear… I will kill you!"
With one final strike, the demon fell—and then Jay's body went limp.

The scene shifted. The sterile white walls of a hospital came into view. Beeping monitors and hushed voices filled the room.
Two officers whispered to each other, grim expressions on their faces.
"Out of Squad 23… only these two made it back."
Slowly, Jay stirred. His eyes blinked open. Memories of the cave came flooding back—pain, screams, chaos.
Both my legs… and one arm… severed…
He frowned. Then how am I… here?
A young girl rushed in, tears streaming down her face.
"Bhaiya… how did you get hurt like this?"
Jay tried to reassure her.
"I'm fine. Nothing happened."
But she cried louder.
"Then how come you have these injuries?"
A nurse standing nearby spoke softly.
"He's still recovering from his wounds."
The girl, furious and frustrated, stormed out.
Moments later, the room emptied. Arjun finally opened his eyes, groaning.
"Jay… what did you do back there? Everyone else… they're gone…"
Jay sat quietly, thinking.
I don't know… where did this power come from?
Outside, an officer approached a doctor.
"Let me in."
The doctor nodded. "Go ahead."
The officer entered the room, his eyes scanning Jay carefully.
Jay asked cautiously, "Who… are you?"
The officer straightened, calm and professional.
"My name is Tejas. I'm an officer of the Demon Butcher Association. I need to know… what happened inside that cave."
Jay recounted everything, every detail of the battle and the horrors he witnessed.
Tejas nodded.
"I need to leave now. A report must be filed."
And with that, the officer exited the hospital.
Once alone, Jay turned to Arjun, relief evident in his expression.
"I thought… I thought you wouldn't make it."
Arjun weakly smiled.
Later, Jay left the hospital. Walking through the streets, he noticed a boy being harassed by two men. Anger surged through him, and instinctively, a sword appeared in his hand.
Clutching it, he hurried home.
Once inside, he went to his mother's room, staring at the sword in disbelief.
How… did this power come to me? And why this sword?
Then, he noticed a book lying on the table. The pages seemed to glow faintly as he opened it.
"Jay, if you are reading this diary, it means your powers have awakened. Before you can understand your abilities… you must first learn about me, and about your father…"
Jay whispered under his breath, stunned.
"My… dad?"
