Hearing Lacus's crisp, silver-bell-like laughter, Felix beamed with joy and guided her toward the seat while holding her.
Lacus then said to Felix,
"Put me down."
"No," Felix refused with a sweet smile. "I want to hold you like this for a lifetime."
Hearing this, Lacus felt joy in her heart and replied with a teasing laugh,
"Wouldn't that tire you out eventually?"
Felix, upon hearing this, confidently responded,
"I'm very strong. Holding you like this for a lifetime is no problem at all."
Lacus looked at Felix, her smile gentle and sweet, her voice soft yet earnest as she said,
"Alright! We have a whole lifetime ahead of us. There's no need to rush like this."
Seeing the seriousness on his lover's face, Felix didn't persist further and loosened his arm from around Lacus's waist.
Once she felt Felix's hand leave her waist, Lacus stepped toward the bed, and Felix followed closely behind.
The two sat on the bed, gazing at each other.
Breaking the silent yet sweet atmosphere, Lacus asked,
"What did Chairman Zala want with you?"
Hearing this, Felix replied without hiding anything,
"Chairman Zala has requested an end to the current lunar war and for me to lead the troops back to guard near the Jachin Due Defense Line."
"End the war here?" Lacus murmured with a hint of confusion in her expression.
Felix nodded to Lacus.
Seeing this, Lacus thought carefully for a moment before voicing her speculation to Felix,
"Did Chairman Zala decide this because the Moon is relatively far from the PLANT homeland?"
Hearing Lacus's guess, Felix nodded in agreement.
"Mm."
Upon learning this, Lacus fell silent.
But at that moment, Felix spoke up,
"Actually, now is not the time when we can simply withdraw as we wish."
Confusion rising in her eyes, Lacus looked at Felix and uttered a questioning,
"Hmm?"
Seeing the look in his lover's eyes, Felix calmly explained,
"Although we currently have the upper hand in this battle, if we attempt to retreat, the Earth Alliance Forces will surely turn around and cling tightly to us, preventing us from withdrawing from here."
At this point, Felix took a deep breath.
"And their goal in doing so is to prevent PLANT from strengthening its homeland defenses, buying time to continuously expand their forces, ultimately holding us back while launching a large-scale attack on the homeland."
Hearing this, Lacus's expression turned grave, and she said in a heavy voice,
"If it's as you say, this will be a severe test for PLANT. It's extremely unfavorable for our efforts to end the war and achieve peace."
Felix nodded slightly upon hearing this, sighed with a solemn expression, and then said resolutely,
"Even so, our cause will surely succeed."
His confident tone deeply moved Lacus.
Lacus also nodded with a resolute expression.
"You're right."
Turning to his lover, Felix pondered for a moment before speaking.
"Lacus, if that's truly the case, you'll still need to go near Boaz Fortress. Hide there to prevent the Earth Alliance Forces from launching devastating strikes against the defense line.
Especially the use of weapons like nuclear bombs."
"No problem." After nodding in response, Lacus looked at Felix and asked, "Are you worried that Chairman Zala might take the opportunity to deploy such weapons of mass destruction?"
"Exactly!" Felix nodded gravely and continued, "If the defense line is compromised, to ensure PLANT's safety, Chairman Zala will definitely resort to using such weapons."
"Do such weapons really exist?"
Lacus looked at Felix, remaining silent for a moment before responding.
Seeing the hint of disbelief on Lacus's face, Felix nodded firmly.
"They exist!"

Gazing at Felix, Lacus nodded emphatically. After doing so, she said to him,
"Felix, should we inform Mr. Waltfeld and the others about this as well?"

"Miss Clyne, when do we depart?"
After hearing this, Andrew looked at Lacus and inquired about the departure time. Facing Andrew's question, Lacus thought carefully before replying,
"We'll set off once everything is confirmed!"
Andrew nodded calmly.
"Alright."
Upon hearing Andrew's response, Felix and Lacus ended the communication.
Felix then turned to Lacus and asked,
"Lacus, how is your current ammunition situation?"
Looking at Felix, Lacus replied,
"Ammunition consumption has been high, but we've contacted covert channels and will receive replenishments in a few days."
Felix nodded slightly upon hearing this, then spoke with gentle concern,
"Lacus, if you encounter any difficulties in obtaining ammunition, you can contact me. I can try to secure more supplies for you."
Hearing this, Lacus felt a warmth in her heart and shook her head at Felix in response.
"It's fine, there are no issues in that regard for now."
Seeing and hearing this, Felix dropped the subject.
Noticing that Felix had no further questions, Lacus calmly rested her head on his shoulder.
Her gaze fixed on the family photo on the table.
After a moment, she asked Felix,
"Felix, do you think your parents might not like me?"
Sensing the unease in Lacus's voice, Felix reached out and patted her shoulder, soothing her in a soft tone.
"My parents are very easygoing people, and you're so gentle, kind, and beautiful—they're sure to like you very much."
Hearing this, Lacus felt much more at ease, but then continued to ask Felix,
"Felix, could you tell me about your parents' hobbies and the things they like?"
Glancing at his lover beside him, Felix thought carefully before speaking.
"My father prefers reading books and enjoying quiet moments with my mother. Besides that, he also quite enjoys playing chess.
As for my mother, she usually likes tending to flowers and plants in her daily life, and has no other hobbies."
Replying like this, Felix continued to comfort Lacus.
"Lacus, you don't need to be so nervous. Just face them with your usual composure when the time comes, and they will like you.
After all, with how outstanding you are, it's hard for anyone not to like you."
