Finn was shaking. He had no idea what to do. Being trapped in an Andromedous cell along with a dangerous criminal & then being threatened to be executed was not in Finn's flibormas list at all.
"Kid, I've got something that can get us outta here."
"Shut up! You scum!" Finn shouted. He was trying to appear strong but he was absolutely mortified.
"Come on, kid. Just let that criminal shit go, will you? We have a common enemy now, don't we? Let's work together to get outta here, ok?"
"Absolutely not! I'm a royal! I will not cooperate with the likes of you, criminal."
Gridlock smirked. "So you just wanna stay here forever? That's fine by me, brat."
"Uhh... I guess I'll allow myself to work with a criminal just this once..."
"Finally... This brat loosened up. I can use him now."
The soldiers had stripped Gridlock of all his weapons before putting him in the cell but what they did not realize was that the pen in Gridlock's left pocket could produce a small laser.
"Look at this baby over here, kid. It's the key to getting us outta here."
"A pen?"
"Not just any pen. It shoots out a laser from it's tip instead of ink. I'll laser a hole at the back of this cell while you distract the guards, all right?"
"Umm, ok but how do I distract them?"
"I don't know, kid? Just pretend you need to piss or something."
2 soldiers were placed outside of the cell Gridlock & Finn were in.
"Hey, guards!" Finn shouted.
They both rushed over. "What is it, scum?" One of them asked.
"I really need to go to the restroom. Can you guys take me there?" After saying that, Finn fell to the ground pretending like it was unbearable.
The soldiers opened up the cell & picked up Finn to take him to the restroom. After they were gone, Gridlock began lasering.
"Come on... Come on... There we go!" Gridlock was done with the hole.
Meanwhile, the 2 soldiers were still carrying Finn.
"Actually guys, I think I'm good now. I'll just head back to the cell." Finn started running as fast as he could.
"Something's wrong... Chase him!"
Finn & Gridlock had both gone through the hole. "This area behind the cells seems to be the place from where the escape pods are launched. We really lucked out, brat. Let's get in one."
"Hurry up! Those 2 guards are coming!" Finn screamed.
"Alright! Alright!" Gridlock replied. They both ran towards one of the escape pods while the 2 soldiers behind them tried the best catch up.
"Why don't they give us any guns!? These bastards are gonna escape now cause of that bullshit!" One of the guards screamed.
"It's cause this organization doesn't respect us! Nobody respects the soldiers who guard the cells!"
Usually, nobody escaped Andromedous cells. Thus, everyone thought the guards didn't need guns.
Gridlock & Finn had made it into one of the escape pods and the doors had been locked. The soldiers starged banging the door from the outside.
"Get out, you stupid bastards!"
Finn looked over the 2 screaming guards & saw soldiers with guns heading over.
"Hurry up! Soldiers are coming! Once they laser the door, we're finished!"
"I'm trying, kid. This Andromedous technology is just weird! I've never used something like this. I'm usually an expert when it comes to any kind of technology from all over The Galaxy."
"Just do something! Please! They're almost here!"
"Fine... You know what..."
Gridlock launched escape pod without setting up the destination properly. The pod had locked onto random co-ordinates & ejected.
"We're sorry, Supreme leader!"
The 2 guards in charge of keeping watch over Gridlock & Finn's cell were bowing infront of The Supreme Leader begging for his forgiveness.
"It's okay, guards. We all make mistakes, don't we?"
"Thank you so much, sir! We appre-"
Both the guards were lasered right through their stomachs.
"You're welcome."
The 2 guards were on the ground groveling in pain. They were slowly & painfully dying.
The soldiers also at the scene watched in horror as their comrades writhed in agony.
"Please... Have mercy on us, sir..."
"Mercy? Never heard of it."
While they were still alive, their bodies were ejected into the cold & dark vacuum of space. On top of the pain they already felt, they had to go through an unbearable amount of coldness in their final fleeting moments.
This is what it meant to work for Andromedous. This is what it meant to work for The Supreme Leader.
It was an auspicious day indeed. The Greenfern family was visiting one of The Chosen Ten Planets known as Olympus.
Olympus was an extremely beautiful planet. The land was completely barren & all the people lived in flying futuristic cities above the clouds.
They had gone there to sign a peace treaty with The Royal Family of Olympus.
"Always a pleasure to see you, Pact."
"The feeling is mutual, Thorn." Amethyst & Anita greeted Pact as well but Finn wasn't there for some reason.
"Hey Thorn, didn't you have a son too? Why is he not here at this grand event?"
"Uhhh... Well..."
"Nope! I ain't going. There's a new episode of The 49 Fliborians coming out in 10 minutes."
"Are you serious, Finn? You think some stupid show about a fake religion is more important than a peace treaty with one of The Chosen Ten Planets? Are you out of your mind?"
"That's just what I expected a non-believer like you to say, Anita. You just wouldn't get it."
"Whatever, forget it! You're hopeless, Finn!"
Outside the room, Thorn and Amethyst were listening in to their children.
"What am I going to do with that boy?" Thorn said in a disappointed voice.
"Don't worry, My love. Our boy is still young. He has so much time left to grow."
"I hope he does... I really do."
1 hour later
"He... uhh... had to take care of our citizens! Yes! Umm, our Finn is such a good prince and is always busy helping our citizens & that's why he sadly couldn't come here today." Anita replied.
"Oh, wow. You must be so proud of him, Thorn."
"Yes... I'm very proud of my son, Pact."
"Well, let's begin today's event."
"Of course, my friend."
It seemed to be a wonderful day. The peace treaty had been signed. The 2 families were enjoying each other's company. The people of Olympus were cheering. Everything seemed to be perfect.
Suddenly, everything turned darker.
"Hey, umm... Do you see that?" The cheers of the crowd turned into cries of fear. The skies of Olympus were now filled with the ships of Andromedous.
"Why the hell are there battle ships every where!? What the hell is going on!?" The crowd started panicking.
"Everybody, calm down! You are all misunderstanding. These ships belong to Andromedous. They must be here for the trial to obtain the approval."
"I'm afraid there is no misunderstanding, Head of Olympus." A loud voice echoed from the ships to all over the cities. It was the voice of The Supreme Leader.
"What do you mean, Leader of Andromedous!?"
"Andromedous will not be taking part in any sort of trial. You will hand us the approval immediately."
"Nonsense! You must complete the tri-"
ZZZZKK!
A laser was fired at the crowd from one of the ships.
"AHHHH!!!!!!" Anita screamed.
"There's a lot more where that came from, Pact. Hand us the approval. Now."
"You... You're a madman!" Thorn shouted.
"Oh... We even have The Head of Plain here. What a pleasure... It appears we'll have to silence your planet as well after we're done here."
"You..."
"Hand us the approval, now! Head of Olympus!"
"As if Pact would eve-"
"Yes. I shall."
"Wait, what? Pact, are you serious?"
"I have no choice, Thorn. I know we won't win a war against them. It's either the approval or my people. I choose my people."
"Pact..."
"Wonderful decision, Head of Olympus! We'll be sending a transport ship down there to collect the approval soon. In the mean time, let me tell you something very important. If any news of this comes out of this planet, we will come back and wipe out your entire people, culture & decades of history. We will destroy everything with more vicious power than even that of Flibor. Do you understand, Head of Olympus?"
"Yes... I understand."
"The same goes for your planet too, Thorn Greenfern."
Thorn looked over at Pact in disappointment. "I understand, Leader of Andromedous. I will make sure no news of this gets out of Plain."
A few hours passed. The approval was taken. The ships of Andromedous had left. All that was left was the awkwardness between the two families.
"We'll be leaving now, Pact."
"May your family have a safe journey."
"Thank you." The Greenfern quietly left Olympus in the complete opposite of the mood they were in when they arrived.
When The Greenfern family returned home, Anita told Finn about the truth of Andromedous. He was horrified.
"So... They've been forcefully taking approvals all along..."
"Yes, Finn. We need to fight back & stop them no matter what!"
"What!? Are you out of your mind, Anita?"
"What do you mean? We can't just let them form their Galactc Government!"
"What the hell can we do to stop them, huh? I recognize that what they're doing is horrible but we should do absolutely nothing. Doing that would be suicide, Anita."
"Wow... Finn... You really are hopeless! I thought we could convince Dad to fight back together but no! You'll always be a goddamn wimp!"
"Whatever, man! I need to distract myself with Bolbo slugs after hearing about this madness..."
After this, it didn't take long for the truth to spread throughout the mansion. Eventually, Gridlock also heard about this from a pair of guards talking about it.
"Always knew those bastards were hiding something... Now, I really can't wait to escape! I need to enjoy this Galaxy before those goddamn shitheads take it over!"
