Watching the situation get reversed in an instant, everyone was once again shaken to the core.
What was this supposed to be?
So WarGreymon had not even been fighting at full strength just now.
He had been using Mew as a test subject to gauge his combat power!?

He was far too confident—far too arrogant!
Shiko held up the Brave Shield.
He slowly flew upward.
The sight of him forcibly driving back that suffocatingly powerful Psychic-type energy made everyone's scalp go numb.
They were both Second-tier Legendaries!
And yet WarGreymon seemed to be stronger than Mew by far more than just a small margin!
"Damn it!!"
Mew was starting to panic and lose control.
It recklessly mobilized every bit of energy in its body.
With all its strength, it launched a desperate assault at Shiko.
That descending pink beam
had already expanded to its absolute limit.
The Psychic-type energy hidden within it
was so exaggerated that, forget destroying the entire Wintergreen Forest—
it could probably wipe out several wild Pokémon habitats on the same scale as Wintergreen Forest throughout this whole region, whirling down like a storm of blades and swords!
And yet, even with power swelled to such an extreme,
it still could not do a single thing to WarGreymon.
It could not even break through his shield's defense.
Mew was rattled.
That feeling of helplessness...
In all these years,
it had only ever felt that before when facing a First-tier Legendary.
How could this be!?
The stranger before it had the aura and attributes of a fellow Second-tier Legendary.
But why, if they were both Second-tier Legendaries,
was the gap between them so enormous?

Mew's emotions became unstable again.
The energy under its control turned chaotic.
"Roar!"
Shiko's entire body erupted with power.
With terrifying energy and physical strength reinforcing him,
in a single instant,
he drove that descending beam back into the massive condensed sphere of energy above.

Red light flickered violently within the energy sphere.
A thunderous explosion rang out.
That mass of energy
was blown apart and scattered in an instant!!
After releasing the spiritual energy,
the shield flew back behind him and transformed once more into his Chrome Digizoid steel wings.
"This farce ends here!"
Shiko crossed both claws before his chest.
The ultra-sharp alloy claws of the Dramon Killers
were wrapped in razor-edged Steel-type law.
That pair of steel claws was so sharp that people could hardly bear to look directly at them. At a glance, they carried the might to slice through and destroy everything!
Pure Dragon-type energy clung to them.
A crimson aura
blazed dazzlingly, as though heralding scorching flames.
His icy dragon eyes locked onto Mew!
The next second,
Shiko moved!
His speed reached an extreme!
He shot across the sky like a yellow meteor, like a bolt of golden lightning!
A sinister sense of danger and death spread through Mew's heart.
Acting on instinct,
it piled one burst of reflected light after another in front of itself,
instantly forming a thick wall.
It wanted to use that to reduce some of the damage WarGreymon would inflict.
The golden body rapidly closed in.
Silver light mixed with crimson flashed by.
Rip!!
A tearing crack rang out.
That thick energy wall,
upon making contact for only an instant,
was shredded apart by WarGreymon's claws, as flimsy as paper!
Shiko's offensive was not slowed in the slightest.
He closed in right before Mew.
He raised the arm-mounted Dramon Killers.
The razor-sharp steel claws swept horizontally.
Three horrifying claw marks, deep enough to expose bone, appeared on Mew's body.
Steel-type and Dragon-type energy continued to ravage and destroy the wounds without pause!
And beyond that,
upon those claw marks,
there was also a distinct and striking dragon-pattern imprint!
One of WarGreymon's traits—
Dragon's Mark!
The instant he came into close combat with Mew,
he had already imposed the Dragon-type attribute onto it!
And then,
another slash swept across.
The Dramon Killers' trait was triggered!
Mew, now afflicted with the Dragon-type attribute,
suffered massive damage in an instant!
When that hit landed,
Dragon-type energy exploded at once!
Mew's injuries worsened even further, and the claw marks looked terrifying beyond compare!
"Kahyo!!"
Mew let out a mournful cry
and fell from midair to the ground.
Its face twisted into extreme pain.
What was astonishing was that
it had not fainted yet and still retained a trace of fighting power.
It truly was worthy of being a Second-tier Legendary.
Its vitality really was formidable.
However,
the six shocking claw marks covering its body
also made clear just how terrifying Shiko's attack had been!
Everyone present immediately felt their hearts settle.
It seemed that,
even though both were divine beings,
the gap between them still existed.
The all-around overwhelming power Shiko had displayed
had practically crushed Mew outright.
He was like a monster from another dimension!
With WarGreymon here,
this crisis
should be resolvable!
"You bastard!"
Shiko's attack
forcibly interrupted the synchronization of consciousness between Genjo and Mew, allowing him to recover his own mind.
Mew had suffered grievous wounds.
Most of its spiritual power and psychic power had weakened.
Yet it still remained trapped under Genjo's control, unable to break free.
Genjo looked at WarGreymon as he approached step by step.
That overwhelming pressure
made him knit his brows tightly, his heart pounding violently with fear.
But even so,
there was still not the slightest trace of fear on his face.
"I didn't think I'd have to use my trump card already."
"Fine. Then let me show you the great invention of Team Dark!"
Genjo let out a savage laugh.
He twisted his wrist.
A purple wristband had somehow already been fastened around it.
Set into the middle of the wristband
was a purple energy crystal.
"Dynamax, Mew! Let everyone sink into a swamp of fear!!"
Genjo guided the purple energy with his will.
Like a long, flowing purple ribbon, it stretched outward
and wrapped around Mew's body.
Boom!!
A heavy muffled sound that made everyone's hearts clench rang out.
Mew's body size
swelled explosively in an instant!
Before everyone's disbelieving eyes,
that frail little body only half a meter tall
suddenly expanded dozens of times over!
It became a terrifying giant beast of a Pokémon over twenty meters long!!
